If you are looking for a great preschool for your child, Peter Pan is the place to see! As a current lead teacher, I can genuinely say that this is a fantastic workplace with a lot of heart. The Directors are supportive, approachable, and truly care about both the staff and the children we serve. They create an environment that values creativity and learning, and it's clear they're passionate about what they do. Administration makes sure that we have everything that we need for our classrooms, lesson plans, and art projects. I have worked at several corporate and private schools where that was not the case, so am very grateful that everything is provided for the teachers. The nature program here is a real highlight. The school offers enriching experiences like gardening, bird watching, and even raising and releasing butterflies, which really engages the kids with the natural world around them. It's rewarding to watch them get excited about these activities and grow curious about the environment. The nature staff are well-trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of nature education. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Peter Pan is an amazing school that's feels like home away from home. My son has never been happier and more loved than at Peter Pan 75th. The director is kind, teachers communicate well and are attentive to the children. They have a few acres of outdoor play space which include Dino land, a bike path, playground, multiple gardens, area for Sensory play and more! The rooms are filled with toys for science, math, engineering, etc! I love the incorporated nature curriculum at Peter Pan schools! The children grow vegetabels/fruit in the summer, learn about nature and even get real live pet visits everyday from the animals in the building! We love Peter Pan and could not have found a better school and program! read more

My daughter was at Peter Pan from age 2 (in 2015) until she "graduated" at age 5 in 2018. Pros: 1) the space - they have several acres, which allows for nature walks, growing butterflies, having a garden, multiple play ground areas, and an in-ground pool. They had far and away the best facilities that I've seen. 2) the curriculum - being outside is a priority for them, which was exactly what I was looking for, and by the time my daughter started kindergarten, she was ready. she knew her numbers, letters, colors, shapes, and was beginning to write and understand basic math. they also place a priority on fun - bug hunts, bubbles, lots of painting and craft projects. She loved it. 3) the food - all organic, and catered. I didn't have to worry about what my daughter was eating. 4) the teachers - many of them are fantastic 5) daily communication - I got little notes every day, and then they switched to the Tadpoles app, which also allowed for pictures. 6) the price - their pricing is VERY competitive for the area. Cons: 1) problem communication, part 1 - this is the main reason behind only 2 stars. My daughter is the most chill child ever, and one fine day (when she was around 3), she totally melted down over the idea of going to "school." And she said it was because Z*** hurt her. So I went into the school with her and asked about it, and it turned out that Z*** was adjusting to a new, older stepbrother who beat the snot out of him at home, so Z*** would come into school and beat the snot out of whatever kid happened to be near him. The school was "aware" of the issues. My primary complaint was that I never heard about this from the school - they only confirmed my daughter's story after I asked about it. There was never an incident report written up. When I asked about it, I was told that I couldn't expect them to write up an incident report for "every bump and bruise." True, but another student terrorizing my child should be appropriately documented. And Z*** continued to be a problem until I basically went nuclear on the director. 2) problem communication, part 2 - Fast forward a year and a half, and my daughter is again upset about going to school because R*** won't leave her alone. Then there are a couple of incident reports, because when R*** gets upset, she goes for the eyes, and she scratched my daughter hard enough to draw blood. More than once. The issues with R*** continued for more than 2 months, until, once again, I went in and went nuclear on the director. The director told me that they didn't have a plan in place to deal with someone like R*** who had issues. Really? You've been in business for decades and you don't have an action plan for problem children? 3) end of term communication - My daughter started kindergarten last year, on Thursday, 8/16/18. Peter Pan sent home a form that asked what your intended last day was, so I put 8/15. At some point, I found something online that said that their summer program ended on 8/9, so I asked about it and was told that the new term started on 8/13 and my kid wasn't welcome since she would only be there for 3 days. They never sent anything out with that information, and I know of several parents who tried to drop their child off on Monday, only to be informed that the child couldn't stay. If your care stops on 8/9, don't ask how long we're staying and then not tell us that nothing is available past that date. 4) summer communication - Before we left in the fall, I completed a set of forms for summer school (and just crossed out the old year). I gave these to the director, and made it clear that we planned to be back for the summer. My daughter spent the ENTIRE school year, talking about going back to Peter Pan. In early March, I emailed the director about the summer, with no response. About a week later, I forwarded that email on blast to every Peter Pan email address I had, and the new director told me to watch the website and they were going to update the forms and start taking applications for summer "in the next week or so." Every day, I checked their website. On the day the forms finally updated (nearly 3 weeks later), I filled them out and turned them in. The new director informed me that they were full. The old director didn't say anything to her about our talk from the fall, and she'd add me to the wait list but wasn't optimistic. My daughter was crushed. 5) turnover - If you don't get along with a teacher, just give it a couple of months. The turnover is very high. My daughter had 5 teachers in her first year. read more

The facility is cute enough, and the outdoor pool is a nice (but kinda scary) amenity for summer care, but my experience there was very short lived due to the lack in faculty response to my 4 year old being bullied by another kid in his small, 10 person class. I know boys will be boys, but my baby boo coming home with a cut on his head, stories of being pushed from the top of a jungle gym, and crying because this one kid calls him a dummy is not cool. Their solution? Put my guy in a different class. It wasn't actually paying attention to the kids their own class and monitoring them. No, it was uprooting the kid who was being bullied. After a few more weeks of this, I pulled my little guy out before his developing psyche was damaged any further. I know this is just my bad experience and I bet there's a lot of great learning and care coming from this place...I don't know, though. Having a four year old being bullied without any real help from the teachers is really disappointing. And four is just too young to be exposed to that, for realsies. read more

My daughter has been at Peter Pan (75th Street) since she was 18 months old. I adore this school, the teachers, and the responsiveness of all the staff. I also love that they have very little teacher turnover. I see them encourage kindness, sharing, and overall being a good person. They work well with families to address the individual needs of their students. When I have had sporadic concerns about how other kids may be treating my daughter, they have been responsive and shared what they were doing to address any observed poor behavior (e.g. working directly with a family, redirecting a child, explaining how poor behavior hurts others). I highly recommend this school without reservation. My daughter is now 3.5 years old, loves school, and loves to learn. I can't explain the other poor review on yelp, and therefore felt compelled to write on my experience once I read it. And, to address the other reviewer, yes, they have a fenced-in pool that is only used in the summer, with a lifeguard, and students go in for lessons in small groups with a good ratio of students to teachers. They also have an acre of land for gardening and tons of room for the kids to really run, play, get muddy and have an all-around wonderful time. It's the least institutional, education-oriented daycare that one can find in Naperville. read more

I highly recommend this preschool and have years of amazing experiences as my two children, now 7 and 5, have unforgettable memories of their time there! The teaching staff is highly dedicated, creative, skilled, and compassionate. The school is warm and friendly. The classes have their own spaces, but the openness gives a homey comfort. The curriculum encourages academic development through creative projects, sequential building of developmentally appropriate skills, and loving support and care at each child's level. My daughter and son, both with very different learning styles, skill sets, and needs have both been appropriately challenged and encouraged along their learning path and love school. For my son, this was not the norm as he had other school experiences that were not as positive. He's active, not always motivated, and can be resistant toward academic learning if not interested. Peter Pan's staff has him loving school, talking about his learning, and excited to go back everyday. We are all greeted every time we come and the kids' grandparents have even mentioned how happy they are with the staff, the building, and the experiences their grandchildren had/are having. I know friends of mine that had similar experiences here when they were kids! I recommend Peter Pan 75th to anyone looking for warm, creative, quality learning for their child! And, when you see their facility, inside and out, I guarantee you'll be amazed too!! Although it's cold now, in the summer there are beautiful, kid friendly gardens, swimming lessons, multiple play areas, and tons of space to run and explore!
