Peter Pan is a timeless classic! Although the standby line will most definitely be disproportionally longer than the length of the actual ride, there are plenty of things to look at during the wait. You can even interact with the shadows. Also be on the lookout for Tinker Bell around the bedroom. The ride isn't very thrilling, but it is still a must ride when you visit the Magic Kingdom!

Peter Pan's Flight is one of my favorite rides at Magic Kingdom, Disney World. You'll find this ride in Fantasyland, directly across from It's A Small World attraction. The wait time for this ride is typically 45 minutes, however, the walk through queue is totally worth it. If you've ever been to the Disneyland version of Peter Pan's Flight, you'll be in awe at how beautiful and stunning the queue line is for Peter Pan's Flight at Magic Kingdom. This ride is a slow, dark ride. The ride takes you through the Peter Pan story. You'll soar above the rooftops of London and see some of the favorite characters from the movie such as Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinker Bell, and Captain Hook. The attention to detail on this ride is stunning. The miniature sets, intricate animatronics are amazing. You'll also notice that Ariel is featured in the attraction as one of the mermaids. Towards the end of the ride, you'll see that Wendy is rescued! This ride is relatively quick, perhaps less than 5 minutes. This is a great ride though!

When you see the line, you're probably asking yourself one big question. Why is this ride so popular? Well, it actually isn't. It's just operated less efficiently than other rides. It's slower, and the seating capacity per pirate galleon is very limited. They can't speed it up because it would make the ride way too shorter than it already is. But hey, it has been updated since the last time I was there. Waiting in line doesn't seem as bad now that there's an indoor queue. It's cool to see the Darling's home as you're walking through the hallways looking at family portraits. The wait for us was 35 minutes, since we took advantage of early entry to the park. The ride opens at 8:30 am. Just about everyone that was waiting for the rope drop on the bridge near Cinderella Castle seemed to be headed that way. It was a 45-60 minute wait after we finished the ride. If you feel that this is too long, then I recommend getting a Genie+ Lightning Lane. Many people actually do that. It's worth it. The ride is nostalgic, and fun! You're flying over Big Ben, and you're in Neverland before you know it. This ride never gets old in my eyes. I feel the same way I did when I was kid riding it for the first time. I'll never pass this one up.

We saw a long line for this ride so we thought it was something really fun. We eventually came back to try it out and found that it was a slow ride similar to the Little Mermaid ride not too far away. There wasn't much excitement or any action at all. This could be fun if you're a Peter Pan fan but I don't think it's worth it if you're waiting a long time.

Need to get off your feet for a min or two after walking your shoes to bits in the park? Looking for a ride that will allow you to catch your breath? Have little ones that are not big enough to ride THE rides? Well here is Peter Pan. Another classic but with a calm experience. Soar over and through the attractions at a leisurely pace that is relaxing and calming. Enjoy the views with none of the heart stopping thrills but all of the nostalgia. However if you have thrill seekers in your group... as we did... be prepared to hear some grumbling. This ride is for the feint of heart and will not be what those thrill seekers are looking for.

It's worth the wait, and every time we've been, we've had to wait. Before the ride had an extended wait area (the outside and inside of Wendy's home), the ride itself was the main draw. It transports you back to childhood and Neverland, where one does NOT grow up. Now, waiting in line inside the interior of the house, and watching Tinkerbell flit about in the bedroom, is also entertaining. The wait is more bearable. During CoVid, the line looks longer than it is - social distancing. Every other flying ship is used (unless you are in the same party) to keep social distancing in force. So don't be dismayed by the line and think it's not worth it. It moves quickly! And it's safe. But if you are afraid of heights walk on by.

You have to love this good old ride, so cool to soar above London and into Neverland. It is always busy so use a fast pass. The kids will love it and the ride is smooth and fun.

Peter Pan's flight is a fun little family ride that we rode last time we were at Walt Disney World. We had a fun time the line wasn't too long and my daughter really enjoyed the visuals of Peter Pan and the fun little ride

I walked down Main Street USA toward Cinderella Castle for the first time, and that moment genuinely caught me off guard regardless of how many times I had seen photos of it. The atmosphere throughout the park was dense with detail, and the theming was consistent from land to land in a way that kept the immersion intact as I moved through the day. TRON Lightcycle Run is a newer ride. The launch and banking through the light cycle sequence made for a great experience for those who want the thrill of a coaster but not too intense. Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean are the two classic attractions that held up best for me as an adult, and they are worth experiencing regardless of how familiar you are with them. Space Mountain remains a reliable crowd pleaser, and Big Thunder Mountain is an easy yes for any group. The fireworks show over Cinderella Castle in the evening was the natural close to the day, and positioning myself well in advance was worth the effort. The view down Main Street with the castle as the backdrop is the definitive Magic Kingdom image, and it looked even better in person at night. Wait times and cost are the two factors that required the most planning. Lightning Lane was worth the added expense to maximize the number of attractions I got through in a day.

Ariel looks weird, mainly in the face…read more While I still enjoyed this ride and thought it was fun, the overall quality of the animatronics was a step below most other rides at Disney World. I thought maybe that was because this ride opened around the same time as the movie in 1989. However, I was a bit surprised to learn after the fact that this ride actually opened 23 years after the movie, in late 2012. On the ride, you board clamshells that take you on an adventure under the sea. Pretty much all the characters from the movie make an appearance and the ride is filled with Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's popular songs like "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea," "Poor Unfortunate Souls," and "Kiss the Girl." The "Under the Sea" song and dance segment is bright and colorful. It reminds me of going to E.T.'s planet in the E.T. Adventure ride at Universal Studios. It's a festive party; both rides have that neon-colored, crowded "creature party" aesthetic. During our visit, the animatronic Ariel in this section was broken and inanimate. Kind of funny and creepy. During the "Kiss the Girl" segment, the plastic water coming out of the fishes' mouths didn't look great. It added to the overall sort of "knock-off" and kitschy look of the ride. Also, right before the end of the final scene with King Triton and the wedding of Ariel and Eric, the ride stopped on us. So, I was able to get a good, long look at the different animatronics and scenery. Finally, I thought the transitions between the high-quality video and the actual practical physical ride props were a bit jarring. Other rides do it better like, for example, the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros at EPCOT. We had Lightning Lane passes at around 1:47 PM on a non-holiday Monday and experienced no line and no wait.

This is an incredibly popular and all-time classic ride, not just at Disney theme parks, but in the amusement park industry. It spawned a multi-billion dollar movie franchise, after all. At Disney, Universal, etc., I love the old-school rides with animatronics and practical special effects. They have a certain charm about them. The Disney World version of this ride opened at Magic Kingdom, in Adventureland, on December 15, 1973. The original version opened at Disneyland on March 18, 1967. I rode one or both of these versions when I was a kid back in 1989-1990. I think I enjoyed the ride more as an adult. Two other versions of this ride exist in Tokyo and Paris, making four total. A variation exists in Shanghai, but is different. The setting, the story, and of course, the music (from 1967) are whimsical and a lot of fun. "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me." In 2006, the ride was refurbished to incorporate characters from the film series that started in 2003, most notably with appearances from Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow. The ride has a distinct smell caused by bromine, which Disney uses to treat the water instead of chlorine. It's become such a signature part of the "practical effect" charm that you can actually buy candles that smell like "Pirate Water." You might get a few little splashes of water on you and there's one small dip during the ride. We had Lightning Lane passes for this ride just before noon on a non-holiday Monday. We experienced little to no wait.

The tower is not accessible for entry, however, the outside of the tower has been detailed extremely well. The tower appears as though it could have easily come right out of the film. At daylight hours, the tower is quite nice. However, when evening arrives with lights like the lanterns from the movie, the entire atmosphere changes and becomes much more immersive! Although this area contains themed restrooms, there is no indication that they are bathrooms! This is not your average restroom stop in Magic Kingdom though! There are details throughout the area including Pascal hiding within some of the design elements, wanted posters of Flynn Rider and many other small details to give off the idea that this is essentially a mini Tangled town. I was happy about this being a slightly less crowded area of Fantasyland as well. It is nice to be able to step back and stop for a moment to capture some photos and take a quick rest from the crowds. Unlike many of the rides surrounding this area, there isn't always a huge crowd of people here! It is definitely worth stopping by especially at night. There are so much details to Rapunzel's tower!

Now, to save the day and turn this area that became a stroller parking lot, no seriously...it was a parking lot of strollers w/ an attendant, I kid you not. This area became very narrow and there are nowhere near enough bathrooms at WDW in general, but that's a whole other topic. Point being is that they knocked down that old building and cleared way for increased traffic flow, added toilet facilities AND add additional theming to Fantasyland expansion. Originally it's said that the tower was going not be to be forced perspective, but rather a "real life" full size tower. The execution of the overall area is really done just how you would expect it to be: perfectly themed and artistically on point. I love the wanted posters and if you look for an employee doorway at to the right of the ladies room you'll find a very serious Maximus greeting you! I love it. Why not 5 stars? Well, because it's bathrooms and planters and a cool tower. If there was a bit more use for the area, other than 1 and 2, then it would be five star with an attraction, show or character meet & greet area. I really do like this addition. Rapunzel was a big movie with my girls when they were younger and Ive a soft heart for it. Its a cool area that I look forward to seeing develop over the next few years. From the moment we entered Main Street, U.S.A., the castle became the focal point of the entire park, drawing us toward it throughout the day. While its silhouette is familiar from countless photos and Disney advertisements, seeing it in person is a different experience entirely. The scale feels larger than expected, and the intricate details across the towers, archways, and facades become more impressive the closer we got. During the day, the castle serves as both a visual centerpiece and a practical hub connecting different areas of the park. The walkway beneath the castle is worth taking rather than simply passing through, as it features detailed mosaic murals that tell the story of Cinderella with craftsmanship that is easy to overlook when crowds are moving through. We made a point to pause and take in the murals, and the level of detail was remarkable. The surrounding hub area also offers some of the best photo opportunities in Magic Kingdom, whether viewed from Main Street, the bridges leading into Fantasyland, or the gardens around the castle itself. Each angle offers a slightly different perspective, and the castle's presence anchors the entire park experience. The castle becomes even more impressive after sunset. As darkness fell, the lighting transformed the structure and created a completely different atmosphere from the daytime experience. The nighttime spectaculars are where Cinderella Castle truly shines, serving as the backdrop for projections, lighting effects, and fireworks that turn the entire structure into part of the show. Watching the fireworks from the castle hub remains one of the signature experiences at Walt Disney World and is often the emotional highlight of a day in the park. The combination of the music, the projections, and the fireworks over the castle creates a moment that feels distinctly Disney. Crowds around the castle are constant, particularly during parade times and in the hours leading up to fireworks. We found that finding a viewing location early made a significant difference, especially since nighttime entertainment was a priority. Despite its popularity, however, Cinderella Castle remains one of those attractions that consistently lives up to expectations. It functions as a symbol of Magic Kingdom, a gathering place, a photo destination, and the stage for some of the park's most memorable moments, all while retaining the sense of wonder that has made it an icon for generations of visitors.
