They serve a nice breakfast too, but I did not take advantage of this as I hardly eat any breakfast. Location is nice as it is walking distance to the convention center and some of the restaurants. They have a park across the street, it was a Pokemon paradise. The downside of why it does not get a 5 star is the bathroom is quite small considering the space of the room. That is the only complaint and I am not a fan of the sliding door for the bathroom, but I know why they have it as they needed to save space.

The rooms are all designed with a full size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, etc. so you could cook food if you were here for an extended stay. When we checked we were asked if we wanted a 1st, 3rd or 4th floor room. We opted for 4th. When we entered our room, the was a very odd musty, almost mold-like smell but we figured maybe just a 'new hotel' smell. After about 20 minutes the front desk called to see if everything was alright and we thought that was great service . . . until later. After leaving and returning to the room that smell was just bad so we went downstairs and were told 'that's why I called because they said to only use that room as the very last one'! Okay - so they knew there were issues? At any rate we got another room on the 3rd floor. We went out for the evening and came back and there was the moldy type smell still - not as bad as with the first room. Over - room was okay but we woke up with sinus issues due to the moldy smell - something is definitely wrong with here. Our adult kids (who also stayed here) had the same issue. The room has a thermostat on the wall, but it is not connected to anything, and the air-conditioning is from window wall unit that you adjust the temperature at that point. The breakfast buffet was actually pretty good with a decent variety of food, so we can't complain there. For whatever reason they have chosen to make what was clearly designed as a self serve breakfast buffet into a employee gets everything breakfast buffet. This does tend to slow things down. Fortunately, the lady who was working, the Buffay was very helpful and very pleasant, so props to her. Overall, not a bad stay not a great stay. For a new hotel it was a bit surprising not in a good way. They've got to figure out what the musty, moldy smell is in all the rooms or this place will go out of business very quickly.

Location is convenient with nice restaurants around, grocery stores within a reasonable distance, and quick access to the interstate. Cons: My only complaint was that the room did not stay cool very well. The room had a thermostat on the wall that did not communicate with the window unit very well. I had to manually adjust the temperature on the window unit itself, and it would randomly cool the room off. Many mornings I woke up covered in sweat. I would definitely stay here again. Next time I will address the air conditioning issue if I stay again. I recommend this hotel if your travels bring you to the valley.

The staff are consistently friendly, the food from the kitchen is excellent, and the bar team provides some of the best hospitality I've experienced. I stayed here in two separate occasions on April 12 for an overnight business trip and April 27-29 for a short business trip. The first experience (April 12, 2026; room 310) I had here was not good. Lots of beat up furniture, peeing paint, stained curtains, dirty bathtub and random body hair on fresh towels from when I just walked into the room. I just sucked it up and stayed in my room because I was in it for less than 12 hours anyways. The second experience (April 27-29, 2026; room 324) was a bit different but oddly similar at the same time. I had to message the Hilton text chat to see why my room wasn't ready after the check in window had gone. They told me the room I requested had mechanical issues and needed to be repaired, but they didn't once tell me about that or reach out to me to change my rooms. I had check in on the app already and requested my digital room key to skip the counter like always since I usually come in late. Luckily, the agent was able to assist and get me a new room and I had my digital key within 15mins even though I was still an hour away. I got here and got to my floor to hear a dog bark a few doors down from me... that wasn't too big of an issue this time the room was actually pretty decently cleaned (I only got pictures of before I was leaving so it's lived in right now. Those are the photos I posted to this review.) The room was much more tolerable in terms of cleanliness. Now the thing was I don't know what was going on next door, but it sounded like construction in the next morning early too. It woke me up and I tried to go back to bed but ended up just going to work. When I was leaving my room I saw there was a utility cart in the hallway so it had to be construction and not guests. Then I walk in and there is a nail on the floor by my door. I will say the best part about this hotel was the staff both on the property and through the text message line. They were attentive, apologetic, and overall not a brick wall! It was nice to see people solve issues and respond so fast! They also had water in the room already! That's a win in my book

Clerk said I had to wait a month. Why? A month later no gift card. I called B&W and they said I did not deserve one because I did not register for it? Huh? When I checked in for five nights the clerk did not mention this. B&W finally told me they would send me a $100 credit for the next time I stayed with them, as a favor to me. Really? A favor? Be sure to look this gift horse in the mouth.

I think I might have found my new place to stay when visiting the Rio Grande Valley. We arrived at about 10pm, the parking lot was very well lit. Alex checked us in super quick. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. This was the largest mini fridge that I have ever had in a hotel room. Having a microwave available in the room was also a huge plus. The free continental breakfast was good: Coffee, orange juice, cranberry juice, apple juice, milk. Waffles, toast, bagels, muffins. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, jelly, cream cheese, yogurt, bananas, apples. I read other reviews that mentioned highway noise so I was concerned, as I am a very light sleeper. I will admit that the AC unit was very loud. Loud enough that it drowned out any noise from the highway. I believe it may have been remodeled, since these pictures were posted as my room looked very different (much nicer). All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and wonderful. I look forward to staying here again.

The other room we were given was filled with flies and a horrible rotten smell. We tried making the best of it, but it just kept getting worse. Refrigerator was dirty ,the pillows ,bed spread... So I had enough, explained the situation and asked for our money back. Management was very rude and not comprehending the problem. He told us we were going to get charged half since we were in the room for an hour.. Indeed, overall poor customer service.
