After moving out of state we decided to sell our home. Since we left a fair amount of furniture in the house, and since there were a few minor repairs needed, we figured we would need to make a couple of trips to California during the sales process.  When we interviewed Peter Wardhana we asked him his thoughts on this and he immediately promised we would not need to return to California at all and that he would coordinate everything from preparing the house to go on the market to disposing of the furniture.  Peter informed us that he had sold homes with out of state owners in the past and that the sales process would be smooth sailing without our presence. When I bought my first house in 2004, I was recommended to use Peter by several friends. I enjoyed working with Peter then and through the years he's helped me answer questions and give me advice regarding my home. So when it was time for my wife and I to look to purchase a new home, we decided to work with Peter. This was the first time my wife was involved in a home purchase, so it was a little intimidating for her. Peter did a good job in our first meeting of getting to know us, our situation, and what we were looking for in a home as well as his insight on the current market environment and trends. The first time Peter took us out, how showed us about 6 properties of varying qualities. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but it was great to get a sense of what was really out on the market, to have realistic expectations, and to learn to see how some properties might be over or under valued. Peter has a wealth of knowledge from the many years he's been in the business, has a great eye for homes, is willing to share his insights. The next few times we went out, Peter had a better idea of what we liked and didn't like and we appreciated his frank and honest opinions of what we saw. Sometimes we'd walk in a property and after a couple minutes, he'd tell us that the house wasn't a good fit for us (which we agreed) or that it wasn't suitable for a particular reason. He'd tell us if he thought it was overpriced, which we also appreciated. When it came time for us to put down an offer, Peter did a great job of guiding us through the process and helping us come up with a competitive bid. Unfortunately two of our offers were not accepted (we felt that the seller's terms had some quirks or issues that we didn't feel compelled to meet) but over the course of the 5 month process, Peter would keep us informed if he saw a potential property that might be of interest to us. When we saw a third property we wanted to put an offer on, Peter helped us construct a competitive bid and did an awesome job of advocating for us. We got our bid accepted, with much thanks to his help! During the escrow phase, Peter continued to work with the sellers, the appraiser, and our loan officer to make things go smooth. His eagle eye caught a couple of minor issues that the home inspector didn't even catch! Peter was always very pleasant to work with, friendly, accommodating to the crazy work schedules of my wife and I, insightful, proactive, a good listener, an expert in his field, articulate, an advocate for us, and so much more.
