I have been coming here for several years to pick peaches. The quality of the fruit is consistently good - their orchard looks very healthy and peaches are sweet. This year I visited 5/23/2021. Main difference is the fruit is much smaller which might be from having more customers, so the peaches don't have time to grow before they get picked. Also there are very few ripe ones (maybe 1 in 30) so you will need to keep them for at least few days before eating. You can also tell because many of the pits are not fully developed even if the fruit ripens in storage. Parking is easy as there are multiple lots. They have also set up a porta potty and hand washing station. Price is $2.50/pound or $1.50 if you buy more than 18 pounds. read more

We came for peach picking may 23, 2021 - I think that was the first weekend they are ripe for picking actually. We showed up a bit before opening but weren't exactly sure where to park - there is a lot of space but not exactly clear spots. Either way not a big deal and the staff show up right on time. Very easy we get a box with the rules explained to us and we got right on picking. First two rows were riper than the other two but all the fruits were perfect - they look amazing (and then we find out they taste even more amazing!). There are plenty of beautiful fruits to pick and we had a great time! It's $1.50/lb after 18 lb, which is about 1.5 layers in the box they gave us. Surprisingly easy to pick that much fruit lol we left with a little less than 23. We got some of the most juicy and delicious fruits we've ever had! read more

It looks like bad customer service seems to be the theme this year at Peter Wolfe Farms. I had found this place a few years back because they had pre-picked loquats. First time out, we picked the loquats from the loose batch, last year, we did the same with the loquats and stayed for U-Pick white peaches and this year we showed up with the intention of getting both again. Since there was a family that was there the same time when we arrived voraciously picking through the loose loquats, it barely left any choice ones. I was able to fight my way through and got about 3 lbs worth. So we inquired about the ones in the crate and was told they run about 20-25 lbs. if you want to buy a box worth so I agreed. Here is where it went downhill. 1. They weighed it with the crate so your 25 cents a lb savings is ultimately null if you are not ultimately paying more 2. When I picked up the top bunch to look at them, I was rudely told I can't touch it, probably because they do not want you to see the layer underneath - red flag! 3. Instead of rounding down to the 1/2 lb, she rounded up to the 1/2 lb ultimately charging more in addition to that crate. 4. Even if you buy a case of over 20 lbs, what you picked from the loose batch is still the higher price. So ultimately you are paying more for a product sight unseen than if you pre-pick from the loose ones yourself. When I ask how much it is for white peaches, I was told $1.35/lb but I remembered from last year that they have a different higher price if you do not pick a full basket. With so many places for white peaches, I rather go somewhere else where I know what I am getting and paying for and not feel like a bait and switch situation. Even though I intended to pick white peaches from them, I felt so ripped off that I left and went right over to Nunn Better for cherries where they were so friendly and appreciated my business. read more

Came here for mandarin and satsuma orange picking. I think the prices were 99c/lb if you buy over 15lbs, and $1.50/lb for anything under 15lbs. There are ten long rows of "orange" trees. Half of them are were clementines and the other half satsumas. The ground can be a little muddy so don't wear anything nice. The two that we sampled weren't really that sweet but since we were there with the kids we just filled up a bucket. (15-18lbs) Fortunately, the oranges sweetened up significantly the week later. I read oranges aren't supposed to ripen after being picked but ours were definitely sweeter. Cash only. They help pour the bucket into a cardboard box for easy transport. read more

This is my one and Only favorite white peach picking place!!! Me and my family have been going here for the last 10 years for their white peaches. Their white peaches are Really Big and Sweet comparing to other farms. We went to other farm for white nectarine today and saw their small and very green white peaches, felt quite disappointed. And when I entered the Peter Wolfe farm today, saw all the Big juicy white peaches, felt sooo happy:) Can't wait to come again for their white peaches!!!!! Came here the week after Memorial Day and this place was packed. It was stupid how they made people sign an agreement before entering. After going in, most didn't even bother. Who goes picking fruit and don't end up at least eating one or two. I mean wasting fruit that is just wrong, but tasting? The fruit wasn't that tasty. And they wanted $2 a lb for anything less than a full bucket and $1.50 for a bucket or more. read more

The rating here is over-inflated, even with only one star! It's a deserted place. It is out of the area where other farms are located. The lady who was in charge of the farm (who was guarding the "entrance") was extremely mean. We thought the board with 7 "rules" were funny at first; after the encounter with that lady, we realized people here were just rude. They seemed like they thought everybody who came to this farm were morons who just wanted to have fun, instead of wanting to pick fruits....but. HELLO! we WERE gonna have fun. If you want fun, not rudeness, GO somewhere else for cherry picking. Their attitude would ruin your mood completely. read more

went to Wolf yesterday, my 85 years old mama with my husband bunch of friends happily went in to pick white peaches, I watched mom's little dog Penny so had to stay out, because of that, I got to chat with the very friendly owner, understand bit more of why no more loquats. :( most trees are not too tall basically no ladder needed, all white peaches are sweet but not over sweet, with nice natural peach joyfully smells, sale price are fairly low, if you filled a bucket, the white peaces you picked are only $1.49 lb. wow! Brentwood Peach Season should continue all the way to July, so if you haven't get chance to try "U-Pick Peaches", I strongly suggested you to do once, because, the peaches you picked vs the one from the markets tasted totally different. read more

Apricots were actually picked when ripe!! I got good advice about which varieties to choose for cooking, eating out of hand...and samples. But best of all I got fruit that was ripe. I live in Brentwood and get irritated by the increasingly common practice of picking fruit before it's ripe. I can get that quality at Safeway. The folks that I've dealt with at Wolfe know their fruit and they are the best at picking it at the right time. read more

Went this year during the weekend of May 15 and 16. They only had cherries as it was early in the season. Cherries were pretty good! All the staff were helpful. Bring cash, it's easier, though they can take card, it's slower since they have to do it on their phone. They had clean port-o-potties!!! Definitely a fun experience. read more

Yellow peaches were awesome, juicy and sweet, season's still early, so more to come. the farm has beautiful honey. But choosing to take the honey is on the "honor" system. which is perfectly fine . . . I put the money in the can on the table and a car barrelled in the driveway from the house across the road (the Wolfe house) . . .she didn't trust that I would leave the money or had left the money. I first heard about Wolf Farm because they had Blenheim apricots which are very tasty, but then I tried their Sun Crest peaches which are the best I have ever eaten, I also tried the tangerines which get ripe around Christmas and are excellent. They have U Pick and ready picked fruit. The peaches are sold in the orchard and everything else is sold at the shed. They also have a little stand in the summer at the bridge where you turn down the road to the shed. Mrs. Wolfe is a very nice, friendly lady. This review is not about their fruits, their fruits are good. This review is about the way they treat their customers. We arrived at their fruit stand on the morning of 5/8/2016, very excited, cannot wait to buy their loquats which were very delicious last year. We waited for them to pour a big box of loquats onto the table. During the process of pouring loquats onto the table, several loquats dropped onto the ground and my 3-year old picked them up and put back to the table. I know my little guy really wanted to eat one but even he knows that we need to pay first so he resisted the temptation and waited quietly for me to pay for them. After we checked out, I immediately took one out of the bag and started peeling the loquat so my little guy can have a taste. I knew he was waiting for this the whole way to this ranch. I was focusing too much on peeling the loquat to hear a middle aged woman (around 50s short hair) speaking "Excuse me, Mam" for many times. The moment I realized that she was talking to me, I stopped and looked at her, basically the people around me were all looking at her including my three year old boy. The whole world was waiting for her to speak, then she looked at me and asked me in a very rude tone in front of my little 3 year old: "Did you pay for it? You need to pay first." OH MY GOD, seriously? One loquat..and I just checked out. My boy was totally puzzled, poor little guy, he was so confused, "didn't we just paid for it?" he asked, well, I don't know how to explain it either. I just felt that it is definitely not the right way to treat their customers. By the way, their loquats tasted kind of sour this year, not as good as last year. Will never come back to this ranch again. They don't deserve my loyalty. read more

I have been going to Wolfe Farms for over 20 years! They have seen both my girls grow up! The family that owns this farm are so friendly and nice! I have grown up in this area and have been to all the other farms in the area and NOONE beats the quality of Wolfe Farms. Their white and yellow peaches are the best! Their Blenheim apricots are also the best! I have never had anything here that wasn't top notch! Cathy's tomatoes are also very very good! If you want top quality with friendly customer service this is the place to go! read more

Came here to pick the white peaches (this is the last week to pick white peaches). Those peaches are really juicy and sweet, and in a very good level of ripeness. Love them a lot and picked a few buckets. They do need a bit of care when driving back to make sure they were not bumping into each other as ripe ones are very delicate too. I purchased 3 whole boxes of loquats in the morning on 5/7/2016. However I was very disappointed this time. About half of them are not ripe and some is even still showing green! I have been buying the pre-picked loquats for 3 years in a raw, it did not happen in the past. Not worth to drive so far for these low quality fruits.... No idea of what happened. May be the workers are very inexperienced, or the owner simply want to sell more? read more

Peaches here were awesome. My 4 year old and toddler loved it last year. Then we went cherry picking a week later. We ended up going to two different farms for cherries- Peter Wolfe and Seko Cherries (since this one is right across the street from their peach orchard and I thought it was their farm too... Didn't know I had to go to a different location completely.) I didn't like how the Wolfe farm lists the common courtesy rules since any normal person would behave that way without being told to do that. Also, I didn't like how you're not supposed to eat their cherries or any of their fruit while picking since that's half the fun... whereas a nearby farm has no problems letting us eat what we pick before we buy. It's not like we'd be able to eat that much. Besides, all the farmers markets have fruit tasting too. But I have to admit that the quality of the fruit at Wolfe was much sweeter and nicer that same day and this year, if their cherries were still available for U-pick, we would have returned. I am pretty picky about my fruit, but I was very impressed with how fresh their fruit tasted. The price wasn't too expensive and seemed fair enough. The staff actually gave me advice on how to pick the fruit and what were the best spots. Most of the time people just throw buckets at you and you hope for the best. We go here every year to pick peaches and are very satisfied with their fruit. The price is usually cheaper than some of the other places on the main highway, and the fruit is always delicious. While there, we usually buy some of the tomatoes which are the old-fashioned, heirloom variety. We have found the family friendly and fair. read more

I like their large yellow peach. It is tasty and juicy. There are some black plums, well ripe and sweet, may be sold out very quickly. go there by next weekend to get a full load of peach and plum. Enjoy! read more
