I asked Peter if he could come sooner and without hesitation he came early Monday morning and was able to diagnose the issue within minutes and guided me through getting SCE out to address the issue. Thanks to Peter, I was able to get SCE out and SCE modified my house to a 110, while they had a group working on fixing my connection to the main. Peter returned on Wednesday and was able to fix several outlets and advise on other projects. Peter installed a NEMA 14-50 at my old house for a great price. I appreciate that he was knowledgeable and patient with all my questions and worked with me to figure out the most cost efficient solution. I told my neighbor about him and I think they hired him to install one too. New house has a 240v dryer outlet and I was debating whether to install a separate NEMA 14-50 to charge the cars or splice the gas line for the dryer and use the dryer outlet to charge to cars. Called up Peter and once again he was extremely patient and knowledgeable in helping me figure out my options, describing the pros/cons. I ended up not installing the NEMA 14-50 and just used the existing 240v but I'll definitely be back in touch when I need electrical work in the future -- sauna installation! ;) read more

Wow, Peter is fantastic! I found Peter through Yelp, and now I am paying it forward. We first hired Peter to come install a new light at our home. He made quick work of it, and I appreciated his punctuality; his patience with us, asking him questions; and his whole attitude was calm, confident, and in command. He even diagnosed (and fixed) a smaller issue in our backyard lighting. When we had a mysterious outdoor outlet fail recently, we knew who to call! He responded within an hour, and he was out to us quickly. It was not an emergency, but who doesn't like prompt service? Once again, he made quick work of the problem. Our electricity had been turning on and off in only random parts of the house for a couple months and it was becoming more frequent. It was becoming routine to take the blender into the living room to known functioning outlets. We'd go out and mess with the breakers which would only fix the problem sometimes... or the power would randomly come back on. So we asked around for recommendations. A friends personal recommendation came out and charged me $50 for a consult to tell me the bus bar was melted, it would cost $2K to fix it, and they'd have to cut out the stucco of the house and such. Second opinion was free. He told us the same thing, but for a little less. Then he messed with the breakers which turned off the power in the house again... and after I asked if he could fix that... he said no and left!!!! I couldn't open my garage anymore!!! The heater wouldn't turn on and it was hitting 40degrees at night! Luckily I had Peter coming as my final quote. I had contacted him over Yelp and sent him a picture of my melted bus bar. He gave me a quote and had a better solution I thought than the other 2 guys. He came and immediately switched things around on the board (pardon my lack of electrician jargon) that gave my house power again. He told me that would hold me over until he got the parts and I wouldn't have to worry about the power going out again. He told me his plan of switching out the bus bar and going through the garage to unscrew it. It made way more sense to me than ripping out our wall and replacing the entire box. 2 days later he was back. He was excellent at communicating his ETA and when he ordered and received the pieces. He switched everything out quickly. He cut a couple little holes in the garage and patched it up so you couldn't even tell anything had been done. It was totally painless for what I consider a very reasonable price compared to what I was being quoted. I felt he was very honest and wasn't out to up sell us, but actually recommended what we actually needed. I can say that Peter (somehow I kept calling him Steve) is by far the most honest, down to earth, electrician that I have encountered. 5 stars is not enough to rate him. When I called, he gave me some suggestions to see if my problem gets fixed without him coming over. Now who else would do that? When he came over, he looked at my circuit box, snip this, tug that, install this, close that and voila! My electrical problem that affected my AC and pool equipment was fixed. And this was during 100 degree weather. Peter explained what he did in terms that I understood, gave me some more pointers, and off he went. Usually I give 4 stars because I think there has to be someone better. I still think that but for the price Peter is 5 stars. At first I thought he was a bit grumpy because he wasn't very talkative or friendly to my dog. At the end I understood that he felt obligated to work as efficiently as he could because he charges by the hour. Per my YELP request he fixed a GFI issue and rewired my under cabinet lights to convert them from neon to LED. I then added a task. The work went great. He fixed the outlet less than in 10 mins. However the payment was the problem. I paid through zelle because peter told me that it works. I used his phone number to send him money. It should show up right away on his app that he got money but he was keep saying that he didn't so I just gave him other $80 in cash. I called the bank next day to see what happened and they told me that it takes 3-5 days so I waited for a while week. I contact with peter again and he still hasn't gotten the money he said so I went to the bank and also called the costumer service. They both told me that money went through already. However they told me that I should never sent money through zelle who you don't really know because many people say that they haven't received money even though they might have gotten it. Bank told me there is nothing you can do. If he really didn't receive the money that is because he hasn't updated his new phone number and the new account he might opened up. So I just paid him $80 cash and lost $80 that will never get me back. However I shouldn't have done it and I'm not saying that peter is lying or whatever. Just this was a Hassle experience. I had to call the bank twice and They usually take at least half an hour to pick up the call and had to text with peter for a whole week. It was just too much for me. Although I didn't utilize his services today, I felt like he still deserved a 5-star review due to still being extremely helpful during his callback. His phone was having some issues, and was unable to receive any calls or Yelp estimate requests, and our 100 amp main breaker was in desperate need of replacing. Half the house was going dead, and an SCE tech came out and suggested we get it replaced, so he put in a claim and untagged our meter, so we could get the work done. Found another local company to come out and do the job for quite a bit more than what Peter quoted, but Peter really went above and beyond in explaining the "how" and the "why" of our issue, which I valued greatly. One of the best experiences I've had with contractors. He came on a short notice and took care of the problem quickly. He did his diagnosing and troubleshooting and was out in less than a half hour. He would stop to explain things anytime I came by, and delivered a quality product (he went back to straighten the outlet since it wasn't perfectly straight, I probably would've just left it).
