Wow... I can't believe all these negative reviews of this place. Tonia, Lance, Gary and Chris. The techs I dealt with that got me back on the road at neck break speed, for my condition. Before I begin, this is the very first 24/7 Peterbilt I've ever been to and I didn't even know they existed. Boy am I glad and boy did I get lucky. On my way to the flying hook, just south of Atlanta on the 75, at 1530 hours on a Thursday, I was planning on doing my 30 when about 10 minutes before arrival, my coolant light started beeping. Pulled in, open the hood and notice my reservoir was fatally low. Went inside, took a quick shower, bought some coolant and refilled my reservoir. Started the truck, walked around looking for leaks which I found several. I've only been out a week, and my truck was at the Peterbilt in Sparks for 12 weeks. So here I am panicking and near penniless. I noticed this Peterbilt literally a quarter mile or so away so I drove straight there. Tonia got me checked in immediately and got me a trailer tag to go drop my trailer in the back. By the time I returned she had left so I picked up with Lance. Explained my sitch and showed him pictures. He was very open and transparent to me and told me right off the bat, I may need a new radiator. There's a small chance that I wouldn't, but most likely I did. They got my truck in and diagnosed and reported. By around I think 1900, Lance came to me with the findings, and it was in fact a bad radiator. At least I wasn't surprised! Gary was the gentleman that came in to start third shift. This guy, saved me over $3k on a NEW Radiator, AND explained how. Just AWESOME! They both told me the techs would start on it right away. They have showers and a laundry room, so after a load of laundry, I caught a cab to a hotel. Shortly thereafter I got my estimate, which I approved obviously. This is where Chris comes in. He called me the next morning telling me every single step that was taking place, and that they would have my truck done by 1700!!! But I opted to stay in my hotel another night and pick it up this morning, because I would not have been able to find parking. This whole place took such great care of me. They are even able to get NTP to pay a portion of my bill! I'm very fortunate I had my issue exactly when and where I did, even though I was under a load. But 4 hours later, I'm in Brunswick waiting to make my delivery Monday. I couldn't have done it without you guys! Thank you Peterbilt of Atlanta! I hope to be back! read more

Save your money! Over priced con-artists! Spent over $4,500 a/c still doesn't work, engine brake doesn't work, never fixed my fuel lines and had my truck a full week, now my "pyro" gauge doesn't work (worked when I left it off) but hey... my cigarette lighter works... .33 cent fuse only cost me $232 to fix!!! Dropped my Peterbilt off on11/22/24 told them have a cracked exhaust manifold and fuel gauge not working. They said they would get it in on Monday the 25th and had all the parts and could get it done and back to me for Saturday 29th. First issue they decided to do diagnostic on my HVAC which never asked them to do then all 4 of my batteries are all of a sudden dead and need replaced. Call Friday 28th truck not even started and have to order parts, truck sat for a week and parts not even ordered. Was told it would be done by Wednesday 4th, got a rental so I could keep my loads. Fast forward to today 12/14 truck finally done. $1,400 more than price they quoted and have on paper. Bank card limit $5000 and its Saturday asked to give them card and they run it Monday but was coming Sunday for it. They say no needs to be paid in full, fine understand I made it work split between cards. In the meantime made arrangments for the truck to be parked next door with Uhaul ( Donald there awesome dude. Pay Justin in service the $5200 he now says sorry cant put the truck next door we dont want to be liable if something happens. Explain rental truck is over need for jobs that start Sunday afternoon, I'm releasing all liability. Justin still says no its policy, which he then agreed isn't posted anywhere for customers to see nor on their paperwork nor told previously to me. I then say park it outside the gates on their property I will leave now for the 3 hour drive to get it. Still refuses to do so, now I'm out of pocket what I paid them, have to continue my rental for another $1,500 plus mileage and figure out how to get the truck between jobs. Mind you I also emailed them giving permission to leave it outside the gate and said it several times, pleaded with the guy and all he did was hang up on me. There advertisement of quick service turn it so we can keep earning is a straight up lie this place is horrible do not go here! read more

Took truck in for triage at 07.00; sign in the lobby saying what they will do in the first two hours....but 5 1/2 hours later they have not even looked it at. On phone with customer service so far 20 minutes...nothing from them either. Ended up just leaving and trying somewhere else... read more

I'm writing this as sit in the drivers lounge I pulled in the parking lot at pm today to get a mud flap replaced and it's almost midnight and my truck still isn't ready and I'm going to be late making my delivery! How in the hell does it take 10+ hours to replace a mud flap read more

It's interesting that when you call the Peterbilt store in Kennesaw at night, you get quotes higher prices for parts. I normally will call the Jackson store, to verify the price. Someone may be quoting a higher amount for a bit of "pocket change." read more

Truckers and Truck Owners, beware of Peterbilt of Atlanta, Jackson Center-Unreliable Service Center On 10/11/2017 I took my Peterbilt 387 truck into the service center of Peterbilt of Atlanta Jackson Service Center, bought and installed 4 new batteries. Truck failed to start so I had it towed into the service center and was given J1939 diagnosis and 6 days later got charged $2830.84: A fortnight later in Kentucky, my truck shut down with same symptoms, and Peterbilt of Northern Kentucky diagnosed the same codes J1939 that I had paid $2830.84 to fix previously. Though Peterbilt Of Jackson originally promised to pay for the rework if same code comes up at Kentucky dealership, they backed out and failed to cover the expenses incurred by the rework, and only paid $340 towards the cost leaving me with so much debt. I contacted Peterbilt Customer service for help, hoping they have customers' welfare at heart, nothing came of it, except cover ups I have just been informed by my bankers that for whatever reason Peterbilt of Jackson on 11/17/17 went into my accounts for the second time and withdrew $450 without my knowledge. This is NOT OK, it's an abuse of trust Thanks Peterbilt of Northern KY, I have nothing but respect for you. Truckers and truck owners in Georgia areas, Beware of Peterbilt of Atlanta, Jackson Service Center, they will not honor their pledge of warranties, and will not hesitate to go into your bank account should they deem it necessary. read more

I have taken my International Prostar (yes not a Peterbilt) here 3 times for repair work and every time they have quickly repaired my truck so I could get back on the road. Even though they are a little more expensive then other shops around Atlanta, they have always been well worth it. read more

My husband's Peterbilt has been in their shop for 3 weeks now for an engine rebuild. We were told last week it would be done by tomorrow, Friday, July 14th. My husband called today and was told that it won't be until next week. We are now, as of today, out of money to live on because they are delaying this rebuild by pulling technicians off of it to work on other trucks. Their catch phrase is a joke! By the time that they finish it and my husband starts rolling again and we get our first settlement, we will be completely bankrupt and will loose our home and farm. If you need your truck worked on anything major, don't take it here!!! This is the second time in less than 6 months that this Pete has been down for a major repair. Don't by a Pete. read more
