I received a beautiful gift basket that was delivered to my door. I brought it in the house and opened it many hours later when the rest of my family came home. Much to my dismay there was cheese in the basket that was hiding in the middle. It said - Keep Refrigerated - on it in bold letters. I contacted Peters and Sons to relay what happened and the lady who took my call said - it's ok - cheese is better when it's warm. Really?? Refrigerated cheese? My sister & I ordered flowers for another sister's birthday, choosing carefully from pictures on their website & paying for the premium bouquet, $84. Our sister sent a picture of the bouquet when she got them. We were shocked! The bouquet delivered wasn't even close to the standard option advertised, let alone the premium paid for. The sister that ordered them called the shop & was told that the pictures of the bouquets online were taken by professional photographer for ftd & items may vary. She said the vase shape only allowed for 12" lengths & that we got the number of stems required but they didn't have regular sized roses so they put in a few extra miniature ones. It was about 1/3 the size from the picture. They gave my sister a credit of $10.89 when it should have been more like $30.89! Do not order flowers from Peters & Sons because you will be very disappointed. You will not get near what they advertise on their site. I promise you that! read more

I am delighted by the pretty bouquet on the table in front of me. To the top of the delphinium it is 30 inches tall. The flowers are so fresh that they are drinking, drinking, drinking up the water like an elephant at the watering hole. My son probably ordered the flowers from one of those Internet or flowers-by-phone companies, since his flowers always come from a different florist. Sometimes that can be an unfortunate experience. It consisted of three white daisies, three irises, a few mums and a few carnations! I ordered flowers online being that I live in Nevada. when she sent me a picture of the flowers she received I was shocked and so upset. Very disappointed with the quality of product. Very outdated style and rude customer service. Arrangement was placed in a wicker basket that looked like it was picked up at your local goodwill and when kindly asked if it could be swapped for a different style, even offering to do the work myself at home, they kept bringing out even cheaper looking plastic canisters resembling beach pales. (Mind you this was for a memorial service) The arrangement itself was very sparse with flowers itself and filled mostly with fern. I should have known when they mentioned "baby's breath" over the phone... The Gentleman who was sitting behind the desk chimed in and started arguing with me that I didn't "specify" what container to place the arrangements in. He shortly stormed off and kept glaring and snarking. Very uncomfortable, will never return. I ended up going to Walmart and purchasing glass vases, moss, more roses and filler stones to update the arrangement. I ordered an arrangement for a close friend in the hospital. I received a call first thing the next morning to the effect that some of the specified flowers were unavailable at the market, and asking if some substitutions would be okay. The woman on the phone was very kind and promised that it would still be extra special. I'm glad I agreed, because the bouquet is just beautiful! I live on the east coast and couldn't be there with my friend, but she loves the flowers and has commented on them daily. Our daughter in St Louis ordered a flower arrangement for her dad for Father's Day. It was a classic red Mustang with a lovely arrangement in the truck. The flowers were fresh, full, and professionally arranged and the florist could not have done a better job. I was met with an impatient sounding individual who could not handle the speed at which I spelled a name. " Update. Product delivered late, only after I called and reminded them at 2:45 that she had not received her flowers yet. Again, after speaking only my GF's name she rudely interrupted with "HOLD ON, HOLD ON". She them blamed me for them being late, saying that I did not specify a delivery time. She specified a delivery time prior to 1:00 on our previous conversation. In a flower business, where literally everyone is the same, go with customer service.
