Huge selection and items are well-organized. The store is bright, clean and inviting. The items tend to be on the crafty, boutiquey side rather than mass-market guns, swords, axes, barrel bombs etc. which is appreciated. Again, huge selection and I'm frankly surprised and impressed to see such a good toy store in a mall. Prices are high but about what you'd expect. Basically full retail price on everything. Parking sucks. I was there for less than three hours today and paid damn near $7 to use the ramp! I know they have a validation scheme where if you get three validations you get a watery discount, but it's just too much work. Just gimme the first hour free huh? Full validation for paying customers? Anyway... it's a bitter pill to swallow since coming downtown already comes with its own headaches. But I digress. read more

Fantastic toy store. I like the variety of toys. There are board games, magic tricks, stuffed animals, animal flashlights, temporary tattoos, and much much more. This store is also organized but very packed. The staff was very nice and helped me find every item on my list. I could have spent hours looking through everything but I was a time limit. The nice staffer navigated me through the store and find all of my items. I will definitely be back to do more toy shopping. read more

This place used to be a good store which is why I'm giving it an extra star. Its, however, has been extremely cluttered the last few years. The staff has always been pretty good courteous. However, I have to say I no longer feel this place is child-friendly. During my last three visits, the blonde and balding young gentleman has behaved in shockingly inappropriate ways towards his female coworkers and exchanged racist remarks about his Hispanic coworker with a male customer while I was waiting in line. As a mother, I had hoped to wait until my boys were older to explain why we don't use certain words to refer to people of color and women. His unprofessional behavior makes me feel my family will be better off shopping at Aunties and Uncle's games. read more

What a fun toy shop located at River Park Square! So many unique games, activities, and toys for kids of all ages. The store is up on the third level so it is easy to miss, but it is a great option for gift shopping for children. I found lots of unique toys and so did my toddler! My mom and I stopped in here with my midget when we were visiting her in CDL, ID - wow! I really wish we had one of these closer to home! Let me start by saying I hate shopping at Toys 'R Us. The whole in your face, "Buy Barbie! Buy Disney! Buy This Brand!" thing gives me the heebie-jeebies. I love independent stores that carry items based on educational and entertainment content, stuff that isn't likely to break into a million tiny pieces the first time our little body builder plays with it. It's fun to just walk through the store, wide eyed and slack jawed, trying to take in all the cool stuff they have. My mom and I got into a monster puppet wrestling match (yes, my toddler already knows how to roll her eyes) with two puppets named Growlf & Miss Monsty. They obviously came home with us. We were also thrilled to see that they carry Calico Critters - they were called Sylvanians when I was a kid and I LOVED them. I can't wait until my girl is a little older so I can play... I mean, she can play with them. Whiz Kids carries a good selection of learning toys as well - 2D and 3D puzzles, musical instruments, building kits like Tinker toys, etc. Very fun, very well stocked store. This is a fantastic store with lmany very fun and educational toys! We bought three kits where I was able to help the grand kids put together a piano, car and vacuum. They all worked, it was an educational and bonding time. The new store is bright and open, easy to find stuff. If she is in say "hi" to "Jan the Toy Lady" she really is a big kid. read more

I just moved into this town recently and I haven't had too many issues until I went to the mall. I browsed several stores and wanted to visit the store where I met my wife and buy several items for my kids. Instead of a warm welcome, I was berated with a clerk who demanded I wore a face mask, while his face mask constantly slipped off his face. DO NOT GO HERE. They do not welcome people, and clearly do not want your business. If you have a vaccine, follow all of the rules, did everything right, you are not welcome here. Don't waste your time. It had been empty for good reason, and I can't wait until this clerk looses his job for single handedly being the reason for the downfall of this store. read more

The man and woman in this store had no idea of what was in stock. They had no clue. I asked about an educational toy for a five year old. They offered a box of slime as educational. I said it would just end up all over the furniture. So they offered a block of plaster with a plastic dinosaur inside, that you break open. Educational? All they could do was stand there and stare at the wall of products and scratch their heads. They had no idea what they were doing. I thought about getting a robot. I saw one like it on Ebay for $37 with free shipping. Theirs was $86. Stay away from this place. read more

This place is recently under new ownership, and is now the only Whiz Kids location in Spokane. It's more toys than books, though they do carry a selection of children's and parenting books. For baby toys, play food, science kits, big stuffed animals, trains, horses, dolls or games, they have a wide selection of unusual things, which makes it a great place to buy a unique birthday present there won't be duplicates of! read more

Awesome store that carries lots of educational and fun toys and books!!. Like the other reviewer, I only have a Toys-R-Us in our area so we were blown away by the amount of cool and unique items Whiz Kids has. This is the place we want to do all our Christmas shopping in the future!! The store employee was also very helpful and nice. She noticed the items we were purchasing and suggested other books and movies our kids might like for next time. Also got us going on a punch card for future purchases and discounts.
