He is a little bit expensive but totally worth it. Like many of his patients, my family has stayed with him for the 25 years he has been practicing. Between us all, we have had a lot of work done and always been satisfied. It is just a bonus that he knows us well too. He focuses on preventative care which is really nice. When I was a kid, he would joke that I had "the curse of the tooth-fairy" as I had teeth come in with holes in the enamel. As a consequence, I have had more sealants and fillings than I care to admit. I never realized how spoiled I was to have a good dentist until I moved away and had very bad experiences with random dentists in college. Since moving back, although I am no longer next door, I religiously make the trip to get my teeth cleaned here every six months to stay off any major dental work (the hygenists are great as well). I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Low and behold... they were available to give me an x-ray and an evaulation on the spot. The following day they got me in for a cleaning and an in depth evaluation. Everyone in the office is sooo very friendly and I felt so comfortable there. The dental hygenist, Jen, is so good at what she does, Celeste that handles the front office is very knowledgeable and has been in the field for over 20+ years, and Dr. T takes his time to discuss your teeth and care plans. This is exactly what I was looking for.... a dental office where people are friendly and takes their time to answer questions.

My bad I didn't ask enough on my first two visits but the concerns have been resolved in today's visit. Receptionists and dental assistants are still very nice, helpful & thoughtful. Dr. Tsang tried his very best and did a great job on fixing the diastema and reshape without numbing. This time I asked lot of questions, make sure there was no miscommunication and on the same page before the fixing processes. Dr. was willing to explain and communicate, which ended up I am satisfied with the results, no pain, that matters the most in a dental visit - GENTLE WITH NO PAIN!

I am vulnerable to covid, so I need to take precautions. They were great about that. All staff wore masks, as well as patients before they were being worked on. In fact, due to the recent shake up of so many dentists not taking Delta Dental, we moved our kids there too. So now the whole family goes. I basically just go for cleanings... twice a year despite the recommended 3 times.. (the third one would not be covered. Penny-wise and pound foolish, perhaps, but two times in a year has done me well so far.) My only gripe is a minor one. I like continuity and having the same person do my cleanings. I had Tui at first and then it was another one whose name I forget but she did it perhaps twice so I was growing accustomed to her. Last time I went, they had a person who was, per what she told me, a temporary person. She kinda rushed it, with no nice comments or feedback regarding my flossing. About which.. I can't remember if I mentioned it but their previous comments gave me a complex about my flossing. So I switched to that Oral-B charcoal and mint where the floss is black. And it is so satisfying to floss with it and actually see the plaque that is scraped away. It shows up against the black thread of the floss. To be candid, I was waiting for some props on results of the improved flossing and felt a bit deflated when they never came. Oh well... first world problems as they say. Of course, nothing is perfect and the best evidence of my satisfaction level is my continued and expanding business with the doctor. A few weeks after that I scheduled an appointment to get my teeth whitening, the results were great considering that I had braces and noticed that my teeth had a different shade to them. I did the two week home treatment and the one day in office treatment. Loved the results! Many people have noticed that my teeth are super white from my treatment and I can say that it was well worth the investment. The staff here is amazing! The front desk staff is such a sweetheart, her personality and energy is beyond amazing. Michelle is a sweet heart as well. She has done xrays for me and did my in office treatment for my teeth whitening. Hands down these women are amazing including the doctor. If you need something a little more complicated like a root canal or crown, I suggest you go elsewhere. The office requested that I pay full amount, up front, for a crown before the work was even started. I did not find this rational and only agreed to pay half the cost, initially and then would pay the remaining balance when work was completed. While in the dentist chair for the crown procedure, there was no communication of what was being done. Next thing I know, the dentist claims I need a root canal. The root canal and crown was not a pleasant experience. As agreed, I did pay the full amount at completion of the procedure ,at total of over $5000 for crown and root canal. The resulting crown, root canal caused me incessant nagging pain. Dr. Hathcoat's office did allow me to return for further adjustments for the crown, without charge. I returned many time ,Each time, he made a minor adjustment and said, "It will take some time to get accustomed to the new crown. If it bothers you, you can come back. " The work was done on my left side tooth,... and yes, there was pain on the left side of my jaw. The pain would progress up the side of my face, and also to the other side of my jaw. My teeth became sensitive to both hot and cold, and the tooth that was repaired could not be used to properly chew apart food.The dull, nagging pain would also interfere with my sleep and cause me headaches throughout the day. I requested that the office send me a copy of my X-rays, and that I was planning to see a specialist--a prosthodontist. It took over two weeks for them to email me a copy of the X rays. I saw two general dentist, but they were not willing to accept me as a patient. I was fortunate to finally find a dentist, who has excellent Yelp reviews and many years of practical experience and continuously keeping up with the latest advances in the dental field. This dentist, on the very first visit, was able to modify the crown and immediately remedy the problems of pain, temperature sensitivity and inability to chew food apart. As mentioned, before, if you need a basic cleaning, you can go to this office. For anything a bit more involved, I suggest you look elsewhere, do some research and get a second opinion.
