For the last few years I've heard about Pete's. I've heard consistently good reviews, especially about the burgers. Tonight, I finally gave in and ordered 2 burgers. I called and placed my delivery order on a Friday night at 6:30. My hopes were not high. I live on the other side of town and am used to waiting for Pizza Man for 1.5 hrs. I was surprised when my doorbell rang 45 minutes later and we were handed a bag of food. I took my time unpacking the food, was surprised to see 2 giant bags of fries along with our burgers, but here's the best part: The. Fries. Were. Still. Hot. I got the bacon cheeseburger. It's not the best I've ever had, but it's the best I'll ever have delivered to my front door in Eagle River, Alaska. I have found that when restaurants serve multiple types of food, they usually don't do any very well. This is FAR from the truth when it comes to Pete's Barbecue! We have now ordered both pick up and delivery. both times have been delicious. & we live in peters creek, so food doesn't usually get delivered hot. But this restaurant did! We ordered the same thing both times, because it was so good. My boyfriend got the rib dinner, which comes with garlic bread, beans, and your choice of coleslaw, potato salad, or French fries. He got the potato salad. Of course I had to try it. The meat was perfectly cooked, and their barbecue sauce is so tasty. & they give you a decent amount of meat for what you pay for! The beans and garlic bread was great too. I didn't try the potato salad, be he said it was good. I ordered Mongolian beef, which comes with white rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was SO good. Even when it was delivered! Usually they'll get soggy, but this one did not. The ends were nice and crispy and the inside was so good. The Mongolian beef is some of the best I've ever had! A lot of places make theirs spicy, but not Pete's! The meat, again, is cooked perfectly and I love mixing my rice in the sauce. It also has onions which are just lightly cooked. Again, for the price you get a good portion of meat compared to other places. We will definitely be ordering here often and I would recommend it to anyone! read more

Like most Korean owned businesses in Anchorage, they know how to fry! Everything fried from here always turns out perfectly. My roommate always wants to order Pete's--at this point they know our address before I'm finished saying it. We've never gone to the business so I can only comment on their delivery service. We have ordered both American food and Chinese food from here. The Chinese food is our favorite. My roommate orders Mongolian beef or sesame chicken with chicken fried rice. I like the sesame chicken and the sweet & sour chicken with steamed rice. I always ask for the sweet and sour sauce separate so that the chicken stays crispy. Their egg rolls even taste good and that's uncommon imo for fast Chinese food. The American food we've ordered included burgers, grilled cheese, halibut, and chicken fingers. All were good and I would eat them again. The only thing I had from here that wasn't worth the cost was the fried halibut--but I'm also accustomed to catching and frying my own so that's a hard standard to beat. The pieces were too small in my opinion. The grilled cheese was very buttery and good. The burgers have been good each time, but for some reason they always seem to be prepared slightly differently maybe depending on the cook or the ingredients they purchase. They're always good though! The fries are steak fries--despite me disliking this kind normally, I found myself wanting to finish them all because they were fried to perfection. Overall, we're always pleased with everything. We heard about this from a previous coworker who also ate here religiously. If you want good delivery in Eagle River with consistent food, we really like Pete's. read more

The very definition of hidden gem. There's nowhere to sit other than the bar next-door it's mainly a pick up/takeout place, but their delivery is super quick. The food is always amazing and fresh. Highly suggest the avocado burger. This place has never done us wrong. Well with all this takeout as the only option right now this place was a first for us. I was surprised! Mixed reviews but I was craving a good burger and driving to Anchorage for that wasn't an option. The burgers were good and the fries (as many mention here) were great! It's a hole in the wall and doesn't look very clean but the food was good. It's takeout only on any normal day so eating in is not an option. read more

Wow! Burger was simply amazing! I expected a fast food style burger and fries. BUT this is NOT a fast food burger, but a high quality restaurant style burger with a thick patty,melting cheese and fresh vege.
