In all honesty had a terrible experience with this barbershop. There was two barbers when I walked in and I went to the Asian barber I believe his name Andy I'm not sure. I asked him before I sat down can you fade he said yes. Unfortunately there was a language barrier during the cut he kept handing me the mirror and could not fade nor shape up. I recently had the displeasure of visiting Pete's Barber Shop, and let me tell you, it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. I entrusted my son's precious hair to the hands of Pete, the so-called "barber," and boy, was that a mistake I will regret for a long time. First and foremost, the atmosphere in the shop was abysmal. It reeked of stale cigarettes and cheap cologne, making it difficult to breathe, let alone enjoy the visit. The shabby interior screamed neglect and lack of professionalism, giving an immediate sense of doubt about the quality of service we were about to receive. But the real horror began when my son sat in Pete's chair. It became apparent right away that he had no clue what he was doing. As he clumsily draped the cape around my son's neck, I could already sense the impending disaster. It's as if Pete had never held a pair of clippers before in his life. Pete proceeded to shear my son's hair with the grace of a blindfolded toddler wielding a chainsaw. It was evident that he lacked any semblance of skill or expertise. Instead of giving my son a stylish haircut, he left him looking like a victim of a lawnmower accident. Uneven patches, jagged edges, and choppy layers were the hallmarks of Pete's handiwork. To add insult to injury, Pete displayed a complete lack of communication skills. Not once did he ask us what kind of haircut we wanted or offer any suggestions based on our preferences. It was a one-sided dictation of poor craftsmanship, leaving us utterly disappointed and frustrated. The final straw came when Pete had the audacity to charge us an exorbitant amount for the botched haircut. It was as if he believed he deserved compensation for the sheer butchery he had inflicted upon my son's once well-groomed mane. The nerve! In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering a visit to Pete's Barber Shop to turn around and run in the opposite direction. Pete's lack of talent, dismal customer service, and the horrifying outcome of my son's haircut are a testament to his incompetence. Save yourself the time, money, and emotional distress by finding a more reputable barber who actually knows how to do their job. I've been coming to this place for about six years now and they've always been unobtrusive, and overall pretty good. There are hair cutterys and hair salon-like at almost every corner that you go to but you can't find an old, old man, and an Asian man that are nicer! I believe the place has been bought by some new people and I was worried the place was going to turn into something else and lose that, barber shop feel and I am happy to say, it's probably even better now. Since the takeover, I've seen the place has been semi-renovated. I actually like the color scheme and how all the chairs now match colors. I agree with the other reviewers that although you may have to wait a few minutes, it usually isn't more than roughly ten minutes. If you have to wait, there are plenty of available seats to relax and maybe mingle with the other folks waiting that always seem to be down to earth and overall friendly. If you have to drive even more than 10 minutes to get to this location, I guarantee you'll be satisfied. I've seen many guys (primarily males) getting all kinds of different styles, shape-ups. My husband was seated right away. He had a great military regulation cut from being on leave for a month. It took quite some time for him to finish because he kept going over it in the same spots but my husband was glad bc it turned out so well. He is use to Sports Clips and their hair wash and shoulder massage. But with how good this cut was, he's willing to forgo those features if the cuts stay dependably good, especially at the reasonable price. My only qualm was that it was a low 90s day, and their AC wasn't pumping or something. I went to get a haircut at Pete's Barber Shop and I was appalled at how this one lady treated me with disrespect and constantly giving me attitude. This lady needs to take a class on good customer service because she kept on giving me rude remarks and poor attitude. Not only was my experience with the customer service terrible but I wasn't even cut the right way and again I was being treated with disrespect every time I said I wanted something different about my cut. Terrible haircut by Danny on Saturday, July 28, 2018! My hair is only slightly longer than a military haircut. I specifically stated I did not want a military haircut, outline the ears but don't taper, don't taper the back, and layer in my hair, and do not use clippers - scissors only. Danny kept me turned away from the mirror the whole time so I could not see what he was doing. First, he did not outline my ears. Second, he left my bangs uneven (he never even combed them down to cut). Third, I have thin hair, so of course, he used thinning shears to taper my hair. Fourth, he kept me turned from the mirror so I could not see what he was doing. I am an ex-barber stylist. It is a shame that I have to give such specific detail on how to cut a normal hairstyle, and yet, it seems the shop only knows how to cut military style haircuts. Perhaps they are good for this style. The only good thing is that he charged me regular price instead of senior citizen. Thankfully, I look younger than 65!. I will never go back! I fixed my bangs, and cut out my ears. Danny owes me $20 for doing his job! Whatever happened to barbers learning how to cut all hairstyles? read more
