I traveled from three hours away to buy a bike from Pete's because it was on sale way cheaper than any store near me. The thing that really impressed me though was that later on when there was a warranty issue with the bike, they went out of their way to Help me out and fix the problem. read more

I am from Los Angeles, CA and visiting for a race. When I opened my bike up after our flight I found out TSA had totally worked it over. My derailer needed some major attention. A quick Yelp search sent me here. This is a 5 +star bike shop. Nice bikes, a fit cycle, nutrition, gear, and great mechanics. Everyone was super nice to me and attended to my bike right away. My bike had a flat tire, but both tires were balder than my head...it was time for new tires. I brought in my bike to the shop and asked for new tires. They found a tire that was comparable to my old tires and also not super pricey. I ride my bike around downtown so I didn't need anything special. I'd recommend not having your bike for a couple of days as they fix them on a first come, first serve basis. I didn't know this and didn't even think about it as I told them I had a planned bike ride for the following day. Lucky enough they were very accommodating and said they could work on it first thing the following day. I called that afternoon and my bike was ready. They didn't only replace my tires (my only concern), but they straightened my handle bars and fixed my front brakes. How awesome! Next time I'll plan ahead of time, so I don't rush them. Their staff is very knowledgable and they make it easy to understand what's going on with your bike. 07/03/19 at about 4:45pm. My husband and son had a disappointing trip to Pete's garage. They went in the back entrance of Pete's garage since the farmers market was taking place in front of the store. My son is looking for a road bike for triathlons. My husband and son started by looking around at the bikes. They said there were 3-4 associates working. No one came to ask them what they were looking for or if they needed help. My husband and son then looked at vehicle bike carriers. Then they looked at the clearance area. And still no one came to check on them. Overall they were there about 20 minutes and no one acknowledged them at all. I feel like when you go to that type of store you should be greeted and offered assistance. read more

The definition of good customer service. Very informative over the phone. When I came in, they were busy but a gent from the back stepped out to see what I needed and got me squared away. The guy I talked to on the phone knew I had just called and started working in the issue immediately. I was hoping to get it back in a little under a week and they texted me about 2 hours later saying it was ready. Very reasonable and I will be back! read more

Great service and product selection! Originally brought my Kona in for service, and the guys took care of the bike and made me feel welcome even though this wasn't a brand they carried. I've had interactions with a number of people in the store and even ran into a few on the local MTB trails - these guys are legit, friendly and very helpful. Of course, when it came down to buying a new race machine I knew exactly where to go....Where else in Wisconsin would you be able to see, feel and ride a 2017 Scott Spark and Cannondale Scalpel to figure out what fit you best and compare the options? I can't say enough positive things about Pete's Garage. I was struggling with my current bike for a year hoping I it would get better with time but it did not. The bike dealer wanted another $125 to have someone fit my bike. I walked into Pete's and Todd asked me what kind of riding I did, what problems I was having and what I was currently riding. In 30 seconds I learned there was no front shocks on the bike and the tires were a different size, hence why my arms were falling asleep and I was going much slower while working harder. Not only did he fit the right bike to me but the service staff was fast and meticulous to every detail in swapping accessories from the old to the new bike. Didn't have to wait the typical two weeks turn around time; it was 1 day. Never had a bike that the gears shifted so beautifully. I am back to loving biking again. Wish I wouldn't have wasted a year before going to Pete's. Thanks! read more

I ordered a tri bike online from Pete's Garage. They were really good about price matching with another shop in Florida. Was a seamless process. Unfortunately, the bike arrived to me damaged. I discussed with the mechanics at the store and we decided best to ship back to the store. Once the bike arrived back, there was a lot of confusion of how this damage occurred. The bike was never removed from the box on my end. Hard to say if this was a packing or shipping issue. Either way, Kurt (the store owner) did the upstanding thing and reimbursed me 100%. No one intends for product to be sent or received damaged. While he has the utmost respect for his mechanics and technicians, he realized that this damage was not customers fault and the cost should not be borne by me. Despite this experience, I wouldn't hesitate to shop at Pete's Garage. They are a knowledgeable group of guys who strive to give the best service, advice, and customer service. It's really important (IMO) to support local/small business stores. read more
