The food was excellent. The staff was very attentive. The ambiance was nice. It was a last minute decision to go here. They were able to sit us quickly as we were a party of 6. We have been back a few times since.

    Outstanding pumpkin pie

The food at Pete's is home cooking done right! The open faced steak sandwich was excellent and the cinnamon roll cheesecake of the day was amazing. Pumpkin pie was also worth the trip. Buffy took great care of us and the owner was a delight to talk to as he checked in at every table. We will definitely be back!

Dear Yelpers, When they say "eat local" Pete's Restaurant is where they are telling you to go. From the moment you step foot into this local eatery you'll be welcomed like family. Whether Pete is there at the door to ask about the family, or one of the lovely ladies is there to compliment your looks, you'll feel right at home! When you get to your cozy booth, you'll be bombarded with a menu from Diner Heaven! Everything you could think of or want is at your fingertips. From a breakfast smorgasbord to a succulent dinner, you can't really go wrong! I'm prone to get a scrambler or their scrumptious biscuits and gravy (all time favorite). No matter what, you can't go wrong! Your friendly neighborhood foodie P.S. The presentation isn't great but who needs fancy, smancy when it tastes mmm mmm good

    Great breakfast!

For a strip-mall diner-style spot for breakfast fare...this place really hit the spot! As first-timers, we were warmly greeted by the man who is either the owner, manager or both. He knew almost every patron (by name) as they entered the restaurant. the service was efficient and friendly throughout the meal. I order my "standard" go-to breakfast...over easy eggs, crisp bacon, potatoes and wheat toast. Topped it off with a cup of (endless) coffee. Everything was cooked just as I requested and the crispy bits of potato were really good! Nothing fancy, but made-to-order food severed in a timely fashion for a reasonable price...what's not to like?!?!?

This is the Greek Omlet! Yummmm! And the owner stops by your table and asks if everything is okay . Just love this

Upon entering, there is a kiosk to your left for quick "line free" ordering or you can choose to head to the front where a friendly cashier will assist you. All of the burgers and sandwiches are priced separately. For example, the Cheesy Burger is $8.49, but you can variations of combo add ons like tator tots and a drink (add $6.99) to make it a meal deal. The Cheesy Burger was unique with four slices of cheese and an inverted bun (bun flipped outsides in). I added the tator tots and regular drink for $6.99. The tator tots come with a choice of sauce. I highly recommend the chipotle mayo for dipping, but may be too overpowering on a burger. The downside to the Cheesy Burger was the grease dripping down your hand as you're trying to eat it. However, it all adds to the awesome experience. The drink area was your typical Coca Cola options with a side drink area of various lemonades. I tried the Strawberry Hibiscus Lemonade which was tart and delicious. As far as overall experience, order food at the kiosk or the counter and have a seat. The food and shakes will be brought out to you. The signage advertises hand scooped shakes. The staff is friendly and always smiling (atleast during our visit). The atmosphere is great for a friends hang out, quick lunch, or casual date.

Overall the food was fine but a bit expensive for the portions (40.00+) since fries and drinks are addons. Service was ok at best, didn't make any attempt to recommend anything or suggest something for first time diners. Just stood there until we ordered something. This place was dead, so you'd think it would be spotless. Our table was dirty with crumbs and ketchup smeared on the empty napkin holder. There was trash on the floor and dishes stacked above the garbage ( we were the ONLY diners the entire and after when we walked over to NBC ). Overall the place was pretty dirty considering there was no business. Would I be back, the prices didn't match the portions and they place was dead and dirty. This used to be SMOKE and I miss it. It's a hard 2/5 for me.

The Good: great…read moretasting chicken: Danielle had the chicken & waffles and i had a 4 piece meal w/ fried Brussel sprouts. we both agreed that the chicken was delicious and perfectly fried/crispy. the chicken fingers were also huge. i was worried that 4 chicken fingers wasn't going to be enough to fill me up but i was full by the time I'd eaten 2. each finger was the width of 2 fingers you'd get somewhere else. beverage options: i'm diabetic so i stick to diet/zero sugar sodas or teas. not only did they have diet pepsi, but had diet dr. pepper as well. score! and that cold soda was needed... The Bad (or Bad-ish): Howlin Sauce: incredibly hot/spicy for just a sriracha based sauce. i eat lots of hot and spicy dishes. it wasn't that it tasted bad - in fact, quite the opposite - but it scorched my tongue like nothing has in a while. No Chill (ha): Danielle's chicken and waffles was swimming in syrup so by her waffles were soggy as hell by the time she'd finished. she still loved the meal and just said she'd ask for it on the side next time. Messy: when we arrived, we saw a number of parties leaving one after another. i assume this would be the reason that most of the tables were covered in dirty dishes and empty cups and glasses. since you order at the counter and seat yourself, servers are not around to check on you or the state of the restaurant. so, tables remained messy for a little while before they were cleaned up. Ordering: i don't like the ordering at the counter and lack of server service. the place doesn't look to be set up that way. you'd think there would be servers as it's kinda like a larger bar. instead you order, sit, wait for your food and you're on your own. it's a little like BW3 was back in the day. Slow: seemed to take a long time for chicken fingers. not a huge deal, but i wouldn't have guessed it'd take so long. i don't want to give the impression, though, that it was more bad than good. the food definitely outweighed the negatives. it's a long way from home but i'd go back for sure. i'd like to try some wings and some other sides as well as some of their appetizers.

I was debating on whether to categorize it as a place to try: just me, me and someone else, or the whole family together. I'm glad I tried it by myself because I wasn't impressed at all. I happened to Door Dash Best Burger. The Door Dash experience was great and none of my comments based on the DD experience will be reflected in my comments since those are uncontrollables outside of the Best Burger experience. With that being said, I had high hopes for Best Burger from reading reviews and being recommended it over & over. I asked friends recently on social media about their favorite burger and most of them recommended Best Burger. My order was: Bacon Cheeseburger with these customization changes (no onion, add ketchup, add mayo). I also love tator tots so I ordered a side of them. The burger was the blandest burger I've ever had. I was expecting their Best Burger sauce and the charbroil flavor to swipe me off my feet. The burger Pattie's were bland and I don't recall tasting any sauces whatsoever even if they were present. The burger had no seasoning or flavor, I'm shocked. The tator tots tasted like your ordinary Tator tots from another basic place even like Sonic. No seasoning!!! I'm sooo glad I didn't order for the whole family or take them because it was a big disappointment. Before tip, the order being Door Dashed was $21. Save your money!

But whoever is grilling the burgers at the other location is who is keeping me coming back. Other than that, other location is farther from me, it's worth a drive. What I really like about this place is the fresh meat and the disclaimer about the meats and how it's prepare. Well, I didn't like this time around is at the meat lacked seasoning, and the meat did not have that crispy edge or the juiciness in comparison to the other location. Unfortunately, I will not be back to this location unless I'm really thirsty for a good burger. If this is your first time at this location, then yes it's delicious.
