Pete's Silly Slideshow in the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.
    Andrea A.

Bumming around and exploring the Magic Kingdom in Disney World is fun (duh of course it is) but, there is one thing I noticed about it. Characters are extremely hard to find. My husband and I were going on ride after ride and it suddenly dawned on me that there wasn't a character in sight; except in the parades of course but that is always a given. I felt a little heart broken about it because I really wanted to see a character. Disney World's Magic Kingdom is different than Disneyland's Magic Kingdom in the way that character spotting is not common. At Disneyland (the one is Anaheim) characters can be found on Main Street, Fantasyland and Mickey's Toon Town. Everybody knows to flock there like seagulls to take your picture with your favorite Disney pal. My husband suggested to look at the guide book to see if they had any character meet and greets. We found Pete's Silly Slideshow that stated that you can meet Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Daisy and Donald Duck too; yay! Pete's Silly Slideshow is located in the newly expanded Fantasyland and resembles a circus like tent when you are enter it. Each character is dressed up in unique costumes and there are separate lines for each of them; each line takes about 15-20 minutes long (not too bad actually) which gives you the opportunity to snap photos of your favorite Disney characters. This is a must stop for visitors of all ages while visiting the park and in my opinion, it definitely completes your visit to the Magic Kingdom.

I've been to most of the character greets in the Mouse House but this is by far the best in Magic Kingdom!! Four characters at one time, and they are special characters with the side show influence. The Great Goofini....The Astounding Donaldo....Minnie the Magnificent & Daisy in their special costumes. It's a little bit out of the way in the new part of Fantasyland but well worth it. Tip: Go just before the fireworks and there will be no one there. In 5 minutes you can meet all 4 characters at once!!

The characters are energetic and full of personality. Such a great spot to wait indoors with air conditioning. It makes the 20 minute waiting line feel shorter.

It delivers spectacle and nostalgia at first glance and it sets the tone well. Visually it is impressive enough that you will take a moment just to look around before you think about the food. The food was better than expected. The blue cheese and walnut salad was fresh and well balanced with the right level of acidity. The entree portions were generous. The steak was cooked properly and came with a sauce that had depth. The chicken dish was flavorful and plated cleanly with roasted vegetables that had real color and brightness. Even the fries were elevated. The rose dessert is visually beautiful and clearly designed for photos. It tasted pleasant and light. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on point from the moment we sat down. Our glasses were never empty. She checked in often, smiled, and made the dinner feel warm and welcoming. We were lucky with our seating. When Beast came out for his performance, we were front and center which elevated the entire experience. I never did anything like this as a child, so experiencing it now as an adult with my boyfriend felt personal and special. It was money well spent to step into a childhood dream and enjoy it with someone I love. This is a fantastic experience that Disney offers to bring fantasy alive for children, and for adults who never had the chance to see it that way. I could not have been more pleased. In terms of value, the price matched the experience. It is not a restaurant I would visit solely for food, but that is not the point. The food supports the fantasy. The fantasy carries the experience. If you want immersion, nostalgia, beauty, and a well executed performance layered into dinner, then Beauty and the Beast delivers.

What a true joy to see this team of young actors perform my childhood favorites wIth such skill and perfection. With great voices, choreography, and acting, this production is well worth your time and investment. The cast is funny, thoughtful and poignant (yes I sniffed a little at the end). Technically the show was amazing as well. The lighting, orchestra and sets were well done and the direction was top notch Happiness is... seeing community theater at this caliber!

Try to be there for the ver first show as there's usually less people and you'll get to take better pictures. Before the attraction you go into Belle and Maurice's house and if it is too full the pics don't really come out. The attraction consist of the guest acting out the story of Beauty and the Beast. If you're an adult, volunteer to be the soldier (male or female, doesn't matter), if you have kids be sure to have them volunteer for a part.... And even if all the parts are giver away, ask if they can be extras, which means anything (eg forks, etc)... why is this important? Because at the end you can take a picture with Belle (that's one less line to make to meet a princess ;) You're welcome. Haha. And yes, she takes a picture with the soldiers too).

It was creative, interactive, and of course, oh-so-cute. Afterwards you were able to take group photos. It's been at Disney for 52 years and is one of the country's longest running dinner shows with over 37,000 performances so far! My husband and I had such a great time, I only wish it hadn't taken me so long to see it but I will definitely go back again! The food was delicious and it's all you can eat and also includes all the beer, wine and sangria (21+) or soft drinks and iced tea that you can drink. Food includes fried chicken, pork ribs, cornbread, coleslaw, salad, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and baked beans. For dessert you get a delicious strawberry shortcake. When you make reservations and also when you check in, you are asked if you have any dietary restrictions or prefer a plant based meal. The food is served family style, which I always love because it's a fun way to eat. Everything about this meal was delicious so it's hard for me to pick a favorite. Our server, Chrissy was just amazing. There was never a glass left unfilled and our plates were never empty. The show was so much fun and included audience participation and in true Disney fashion, the performers were highly talented and highly entertaining. The price was excellent at only $70 per ticket. We had seating in the balcony which I was worried about at first, but once we got in there, and I was able to look around I saw that the balcony was actually the better place to be seated and I definitely would get seating in the balcony again. Getting there was half the fun, you take a bus to Pioneer Hall where the store is held, from The Outpost located within Fort Wilderness. It's great because there's some horses and a couple of stables you can look at as well as a general store and a tavern. I highly recommend doing this at least once. We spoke to several people there who had gone before and liked it so much that they were seeing it for the second and even third time!

The show itself is wonderful and very Americana and interactive. That's the reason it made a 5 star on my list. The food we had was beans, salad, Mac & cheese, fried chicken, ribs and cornbread. The fried chicken was the seasoned good crispy and juicy, beans were my 2nd favorite, ribs were not my favorite different flavor going on, cornbread was average, Mac and cheese was average, and strawberry shortcake was average I think they should change that to a warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. Great show and decent average dinner. Food 7.5 Atmosphere 9.5 Service 9.0
