I've had the chance to experience the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue twice--once for my birthday and another time with a group of colleagues--and both visits were an absolute blast! The energy from the performers is contagious, and they do a fantastic job getting the audience involved, making the show feel interactive and unique. The food was delicious, and you definitely won't leave hungry since it's all-you-care-to-enjoy. Everything was served family-style, and there was plenty to go around, making it a great value on top of the entertainment. My biggest piece of advice? Save room for the strawberry shortcake! It's the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal. If you're looking for a classic Disney experience that's filled with laughs, music, and great food, Hoop-Dee-Doo is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary. Not sure what the big Hoop-Dee-Doo is... Unfortunately, the show was more of a Hoop-Dee-Doo-Doo for me. Arriving in Fort Wilderness, the check-in process is very drawn out and poorly executed. It's amazing how simple every other restaurant in Disney can be. If you want your Annual Pass discount, you'll have to deal with a second long line. We were originally excited for a second floor seat, but the layout is just annoying. Swivel chairs line the railing, so you turn out toward the wall to eat and spin back around in a tight area to watch the show. The food could've saved the day being all you can eat and comfort foods. But the servers brought it out in the middle of the acts.. when it's pitch black and we are swiveled around... so it was cold by the time you were ready to eat. The all you can eat was accommodated by the server bringing out a full tray of each item and plopping down one or two items on each of their tables. The cast makes a huge deal with a musical number about the dessert... Strawberry Shortcake.. but it was honestly not the best dessert option. The show was definitely cute and old timey - with the whole place joining in a chorus of This Land Is Your Land and corny jokes, but I would highly suggest you leave as soon as you finish dessert. They hand out washboards and serving spoons to every table... which turns into a nightmare of banging and unnecessary showboating to gain attention from the characters. My son and daughter-in-law have gone here a couple of times and they really enjoyed it and suggested I go see it. It's been at Disney for 52 years and is one of the country's longest running dinner shows with over 37,000 performances so far! My husband and I had such a great time, I only wish it hadn't taken me so long to see it but I will definitely go back again! The food was delicious and it's all you can eat and also includes all the beer, wine and sangria (21+) or soft drinks and iced tea that you can drink. Food includes fried chicken, pork ribs, cornbread, coleslaw, salad, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and baked beans. For dessert you get a delicious strawberry shortcake. When you make reservations and also when you check in, you are asked if you have any dietary restrictions or prefer a plant based meal. The food is served family style, which I always love because it's a fun way to eat. Everything about this meal was delicious so it's hard for me to pick a favorite. Our server, Chrissy was just amazing. There was never a glass left unfilled and our plates were never empty. The show was so much fun and included audience participation and in true Disney fashion, the performers were highly talented and highly entertaining. The price was excellent at only $70 per ticket. We had seating in the balcony which I was worried about at first, but once we got in there, and I was able to look around I saw that the balcony was actually the better place to be seated and I definitely would get seating in the balcony again. Getting there was half the fun, you take a bus to Pioneer Hall where the store is held, from The Outpost located within Fort Wilderness. It's great because there's some horses and a couple of stables you can look at as well as a general store and a tavern. I highly recommend doing this at least once. Hoop-Dee-Doo is definitely something you should experience at least once. It's the perfect dose of old-school Disney charm & super corny, but in the most entertaining way. The music, acting, and energy keep you laughing the whole time, and the food will have your belly full before you know it. The service was chef's kiss (it's Disney, so I didn't expect anything less). The fried chicken was the standout of the meal for me. The sides were okay. They were not terrible, just not memorable. But the fresh strawberry shortcake? Absolute highlight. So good. We sat on the balcony overlooking the stage, and honestly, those were the perfect seats for us. I won't give away any spoilers, but just know you can sit anywhere and it'll be perfect! Now, I will say the campground area it's located in felt a little sketchy to me. I didn't love that part and felt a bit uneasy driving in. But once inside, all of that faded away. My kids enjoyed it, and we really did have a fun night. Would I go back? Probably not -- for me, it's a one-and-done type of experience. But if you're thinking about going, just do it. Fantastic celebration here last weekend to celebrate my nieces birthday. Located on Fort Wilderness property this musical diner show was great. Our three year old was belly laughing all the time and we all stuffed ourselves with us much as the AYCE southern fixings. The staff were attentive and quick and the show was great and entertaining. Overall the chicken was good but we liked the ribs more, and for children they have unlimited chicken tenders and fries other than macaroni and cheese. read more

The actors engage with the audience, including coming out at various points in the show to interact closely, and they also will pick people at times to go up on the stage and interact and participate in the production. Last week we booked a 6pm show for the 2nd time in our years visiting Disney. The seating is tricky a suggestion I would make is sit on the main floor not up top, for you can miss some of the show if you turn away to eat. The show itself is wonderful and very Americana and interactive. That's the reason it made a 5 star on my list. The food we had was beans, salad, Mac & cheese, fried chicken, ribs and cornbread. The fried chicken was the seasoned good crispy and juicy, beans were my 2nd favorite, ribs were not my favorite different flavor going on, cornbread was average, Mac and cheese was average, and strawberry shortcake was average I think they should change that to a warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. I would not recommend this show for younger children because it's super loud. My son was not a fan. They also had a hard time understanding that we eat fish but not dairy, eggs or meat so they messed up our meal, even after the text chat before getting there AND asking us to talk to the chef before seating so they had to switch out the salad and cornbread. I realized after that they also just gave us salmon and not the other plant-based options so I felt ripped off. The salad was just lettuce and tomatoes. We elected to try the balcony seating this time around...and although we saw everything, I did not enjoy turning around in my chair to see the show everytime something was going on. I will only purchase ground floor seats from this point forward. I am diabetic and put in a request for some diabetic friendly food which the chef happily arranged. It was flawless and some of the best food I've had there. I think it may have been better than what everyone else was eating. Not too much different...smoked chicken and green beans along with cole slaw and salad with light dressing on the side. Even the dessert was modified slightly with just strawberries instead of adding the cake and whipped topping. The entertainment is just amazing - those cast members performing in the show still had so much energy and stamina and we were the third show of the night. Such a great script and music was amazing - something for everyone in the entire family - there is even elements thrown in that interact with the audience. Hoop-Dee-Doo was everything we hoped for. It was kitschy, corny, and absolutely amazing. It's the perfect example of old school Disney charm. The food was all above average, and the kitchen went above and beyond for my wife, who couldn't eat most of the regular menu. They made a salmon just for her and even brought out a dairy-free cake so she could enjoy dessert with the rest of us. Not a piece but an entire cake. Our teens loved it too especially the fried chicken, mac and cheese, and of course the dessert. It's one of those meals where everyone at the table finds something they love. What a fun little thing! My first dinner show was apparently one of the longest running one in the whole country. So before the show even started, we got to explore the Fort Wilderness camping resort. That was nice. There are some shops to roam through and some waterfront to explore. It looks like a nice place to plug in the RV and relax. The ambiance in the building is really fun. Two floors of massive amounts of tables with chairs of varying heights. There isn't really a bad place to sit in the building. And everything is themed very well with wooden everything and faux-gaslight lanterns adorning the ceiling. You felt like you were in the pioneer days. Really fun. The service was also excellent. After so many decades, it really is a well coordinated execution. You have all the food you want at all times, the refills come immediately, and they are just so nice and playful. They really help make the meal perfect. As for the food. I will say, it's much better than a recent experience I had at the AYCE BBQ place in DHS. Neither the chicken nor the ribs were too dry. There was sauce aplenty to dip them in, even if you think they are. And the sides were nice, too. The food won't win a Michelin Star, but it certainly won't detract from your experience while you're watching the show. Overall, such a lovely little experience. She was able to enjoy cornbread and mac & cheese--which almost never happens anywhere else--and she was so happy. The show itself is lively, funny, and very interactive, making it more than just a meal. The all-you-can-eat setup means the food never stops coming (make sure you arrive hungry!) and the unlimited sangria was such a pleasant surprise for us. However, I would say the hierarchy would be on the first floor in the middle/back, followed by the top floor, followed by the bottom floor on the sides. It is pretty much the same--a great show, full of music, dancing, and actors with big personalities. A truly exceptional dinner theater show that will keep me coming back hopefully more times than I can count! While it is a little pricey, pricing varies on where you're sitting and the one good thing about this place is that beer, sangria, and wine are included and you can buy mixed drinks or craft beers for a small up charge. You're able to start checking in about 15 to 20 minutes early and that is when you receive the area you're sitting in, there is not a single bad place to sit and I honestly like the second tier because it is far back enough that you can see the entire show especially when they go into the crowd every so often. The service here is exceptional however the last time I went, we almost sent an email because our waitress was horrible. Towards the end if she did get a little bit better but me and my table wished we could have gotten a little more to drink because she only came over a couple times throughout. The food you get is cooked perfectly and my favorite thing here is their exceptional Fried Chicken which is crispy just the right amount and unbelievably juicy. I love how easy it is to eat and I have had more than enough Fried Chicken while I'm here to last me forever and yet I still want more! The cornbread is super moist and their Strawberry Shortcake dessert is truly a work of art. If I could eat the entire thing myself I would but I have to share it with everyone at the table. The show itself and the entire restaurant is themed to the Western and Old West times. I love how everything looks here and the show itself has made me laugh so hard a couple times that I almost did a spit take with my drink! My mom & I planned to eat at the earliest dining, which was 4pm. The check-in process was easy, and we were so glad to be seated at a table, just the 2 of us. Our tickets were for category 2, but we were seated close to the middle and close to the stage. Already on the table was cornbread, butter, salad, and coleslaw. Such a fun experience for family, we recommend this to anyone visiting Orlando that wants to do something fun at Disney without buying tickets to the park. Before reservations you are able to walk around the property, do pony rides with the little kids, and visit the giftshops. We didn't have the best table, we were all the way in the back, right by the door, and behind a large pole. Our waiter helped us move our table a bit. Thankfully a lot of the cast moves around the room for the majority of the show, but we would LOVE to see it with a better seat. Food is pretty unlimited and was delicious. Plenty of food that appeals to kids and their grown ups. We were celebrating an anniversary and did order a cake that was additional to the meal. We ended up taking almost the entire thing home. My sister got us tickets for Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review last night. It's located in the back of Fort Wilderness. To get there, you park in the main Fort Wilderness lot and catch the bus to the back of the compound. Make sure you allocate travel time for that exchange! Some people came from the Magic Kingdom parking lot by bus and transferred to the Hoop-Dee-Doo bus when they got to the lot. The whole feel of the campground and Pioneer lodge makes you feel like you are in an old timey style show. Being Disney, they are incredibly organized and mindful about food allergies as well. As soon as I checked in they had me speak to the allergy chef and labeled all the food they send out. The food was reallllyyy good. The waiter was so kind and beyond attentive. There was not a moment when anything on our table was empty (including fried chicken)! The show itself was so much fun. The musicians were incredibly talented and funny! You felt so involved in the show and the humor was family friendly abs funny. If you were there last night I'm sure you heard my laugh over the crowd lol. I would definitely recommend this show. Oh, wow! What a fun experience! This is a must-do. We ended up getting lucky with last minute tickets. We sat up at the top, which had a great view. The seats are a little cheaper upstairs, so it was a win all the way around. If you want more interaction with the performers, then you will want to sit downstairs. Honestly, you can't go wrong wherever you sit but I really liked the balcony. The performers were a hoot. I was genuinely laughing- it was so entertaining. The food was excellent. Way too much for me to eat but it was definitely delicious...especially the cornbread. They do have vegetarian options, if needed. I hope to go back one day. So we traveled back to ft wildnerness and took one hour to bus to hoop de doo where we were then going to take a ferry to check out wilderness lodge , but it was closed until three pm which would have suited our earlier plan fine but , wasn't an option with the show starting at 4. So we were stuck all day at ft wildnerness with nothing to do. Then at dinner, the waiter brought out our food and drinks, and never came back till desert, so I got two glasses of sangria only, and it wasn't all you can eat , because we needed more of everything but he never came back. The food was bad . Overcooked macaroni. It all tasted cheap . Then everyone kept telling us chip n dale comes out at 8 now in the spring and they came out at 7 and we missed the beginning of the show. The bus ride out was so crowded it was standing room only and my daughter who wasn't feeling well from the terrible food , and gets motion sick , almost threw up. I got a terrible stomach ache after we ate from food poisoning, that is still bothering me 3 days later. This was a miserable horrible experience . Ruined my daughters birthday . I had a fantastic time at the Hoop Dee Doo on my trip to Florida! I went on vacation with my bf and his family and they have been doing this dinner and a show for years. They were hyping it up big time and I was excited to see it for myself. I really loved the cast and the show itself, it was very entertaining! The servers were also very speedy and catering. They did get into character which also added to the overall fun! They knew when to come out and service our table without disrupting the show. The food felt unlimited! We had so much. It was all your typical bbq meal and it was delicious! I left stuffed and satisfied. I was also surprised by the unlimited alcoholic drink option. Just got done with my holiday visit to pioneer hall for Hoop Dee Doo! Again, amazing time. This time I went with upstairs cat 3 seating and they were great! Amazing view and not overly crowded as the lower area. The food was good as always, started with the house salad and corn bread per usual. After a few mins of singing we were started with the main course of fried chicken, bbq ribs, beans, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and finished off with strawberry shortcake. This dinner is definitely a "Disney" dinner spot. The live music is loud & interactive with the crowd, but if that's what you are looking for it's a lot of fun! You don't get any choices on your food, so make sure you look at the menu before you go. You get typical southern food (fried chicken, baked beans, ribs, etc) that is decent - however I wish we could have gotten some vegetables like collard greens or something like that. The waitresses are pretty good about keeping your table & drinks full (I would recommend the white sangria!), even though the place is quite crowded. Had a much better experience than my first time here. You need to be online 60 days before, 6am EST to make reservations and you pay at time of booking, you can cancel and get refunded. Even though I was online at 6am, I still didn't get my preferred dining time of 6:15 and ended up with 8:30pm. I only wanted Cat 1, looking at the seating plan, it looks as if they might have changed the categories around a little bit. We had great seats. Server brought us out a pitcher of beer to share. Cornbread was delicious, salad was good. Almost too full before the meats came out. Mac was the best side. Ribs were good, fried chicken was good, although a quite salty. Was definitely too full when the strawberry shortcake came out. Show was fun and entertaining to watch. My girlfriend heard a lot about this dinner/show and wanted to close out our trip with this for our last dinner. The reservation was a little tough to get but we got one on the Disney website for 8:30 on a Wednesday. To get here, you have to take a shuttle to the Fort Wilderness Resort and then take the campsite shuttle from there to get to Pioneer Hall. We didn't know about this until we were getting there but luckily they were just about to get people seated and got in pretty quickly. We decided to sit on the balcony because it was slightly cheaper and we also did not want to have to participate if i'm being honest. The food was way better than I was expecting. The fried chicken and ribs were both very good. The chicken was very crispy and juicy, the ribs were falling off the bone tender but not mushy. The mac and cheese, cornbread, and baked beans were also solid. We also had strawberry shortcake for dessert but it was enormous and we were way too full by that point. The show itself was pretty entertaining. The Pioneer Hall players kept our attention in-between bites and we had a really good time. My husband and I frequent WDW often and fell in love with the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds during the pandemic. We kept hearing amazing things about the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and have been waiting patiently for this dinner show to reopen. Upon our most recent visit back to WDW a few weeks ago, we were finally able to dine at and watch the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and it did not disappoint. If you're on the fence about whether it's worth it, absolutely yes! The food is great and plentiful, the drinks are equally great and plentiful (did someone say, "all you can drink?"), service is on-point and exactly what you would expect from Disney, and the show was funny, entertaining, and a good time. The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is located at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. It can be a little tricky to get to as the establishment is located on the opposite end of the property from the main resort entrance. If you're dropped off at the entrance of Fort Wilderness, I believe the most efficient way to get to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue would be to take the campground's internal bus system to get to the other end of the property. A better option, in my opinion, especially if you're staying on WDW property or can park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), is to take a boat to the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds from the resort-boat-launches outside of the entrance gates of Magic Kingdom. The boat will drop you off at the dock area at Fort Wilderness and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a short walk from the dock. To get back to your on-property hotel or TTC, you would take the boat back to Magic Kingdom and board your appropriate bus (or the ferry/monorail to return to TTC) from there. Check in for dinner can be completed online via the Walt Disney World app or in-person just across from the area selling tickets for the show. Dinner shows run a few times a night. We attended the last show of the night and the energy, performance, food, and service did not waver from excellence. We ended up getting Tier 2 seating which turned out to be pretty good seating fairly close to the stage on the outskirts of the first floor. We had no regrets about the seating choice. Upon being seated, we were immediately greeted by our server with the starters for the meal and for our drink orders to be taken. Within a few minutes, our drinks landed on our table. Service was friendly, quick, and attentive. Food is all-you-care-to-eat and is served family style. Their main menu features their house cornbread (yum!), coleslaw, beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, pork ribs, fried chicken, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. They offer plant-based options as well. The drinks included with the meal price are most of the typical non-alcoholic beverages (i.e. soda, juice, coffee, tea, milk) and select wine, beers and sangrias. The food was tasty and plentiful and the drinks were bottomlessly good. We loved the red sangria! The show is entertaining and a bunch of fun. It isn't saturated with a bunch of Disney characters parading, but still has the quality and fun you would expect from one of their shows. We laughed, we sang, and "participated" in the finale. The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a must stop visit on one of your trips to WDW and should definitely be part of your plans if you're staying at Fort Wilderness. It was one of our highlights to this most recent trip and we would definitely be back again in the future. (A few notes: An advanced dining reservation (ADR) is highly recommended as the show fills up quickly. If you do plan to try and get in via an ADR, you can do so on the Walt Disney World website or app on your device. You will need to pre-pay, but their current cancellation policy grants a full refund if you cancel no less than 24-hours before. The cast and show do a good job of honoring special celebrations. This was one of the funnest, most entertaining dinners I have ever been to in Walt Disney World! This restaurant is located over at the Fort Wilderness Campsites resort but you do not need to be staying at there in order to make reservations. That said, reservations are a must, I was there on a random weekend in February and it there was quite the crowd. I was with a large party and although due to our size we had to make separate reservations, upon arrival the staff did their best to sit our party together. Make sure to get there early as you do have to wait in line before you are let in. Once you get inside and sit down, there are a few items already on the table for you to start eating, such as salad and the best cornbread! A while later the food starts to come out, this is Family style dinning which I was very weary of this but the food was actually pretty good! Now lets talk about the show! This was such a fun time, all the different characters had their own charm and funny aspects to them, its great for kids and adults. The characters and wait staff also go around the audience and make the show interactive. Overall, this was a GREAT experience, do not be scared of the price tag as you will have a fun time! First time at this show and it was a great experience! To get to the location you have to take a shuttle from the parking lot. Upon arrival we were early so we had to wait outside for a little bit. There was a lot of people for the 415? show but everything was very organized. Drinks, bread, and salad were served first, then the performance started. Then another pause in the performance for the entree of ribs and chicken before the performance continued and concluded with strawberry shortcake for dessert. The food was very good and plentiful and there was enough time to eat between the performances. Service was efficient and friendly. This show was had a lot of audience participation which really made it fun. I would definitely come back! read more
