French toast with a mountain of fresh fruits!
    Kimbo S.

This was my first meal in Canada after driving for 7+ hours, and I am so glad this was my first stop. My family and I stopped by here for breakfast at around 7:00 am. It was not busy, and we were seated immediately. The place was my kind of place. It was clean, all white, there were plenty of booths, and it was decorated beautifully for the holidays. There was a large selection of options for breakfast. We opted for the French toast with fresh fruits, and the Waffle platter with banana, strawberries, English cream and Nutella, with bacon, and potatoes. There were 3 of us, and we are so glad we ordered 2 dishes to share. The portions were HUGE! The French toast had a mountain of fresh fruit on top, and platter was enough to feed 2 grown people. Everything was so delicious. I highly recommend getting the breakfast potatoes, they were the best I've ever had. The waitress was very kind, and she checked up on us often. Our waters were refilled constantly. Highly recommend this place!

The special apple/creme anglais waffle. Probably the best breakfast I've ever had.

Busy as this restaurant was, our food was still great. My first actual crepe--don't judge--was lovely as I hoped, brimming with raspberries and didn't have to rely on the pancake syrup it came with. My husbands burger was perfect down to the grill marks on the bun. We ordered eggs from the children's menu but it was huge! I happily helped with her nicely, lightly spiced home fries. Fresh fruits accompanied our breakfasts and a great Caesar salad paired with the burger. I do believe we had fresh squeezed orange juice. My only regret was we didn't turn our juice into mimosa orders (but you should!). Not a five star restaurant but a great diner experience The clever menu has two covers, French and English, and the staff were patient with our French language barrier. If only we didn't live so far away... Edit--since we do live far away, it was our last stop before leaving the Montréal area. Can't wait till we get back!

I am visiting from the United States and found this place along our drive. The menu is huge and a great variety. I ordered the half waffle with bananas, English cream, peanut butter and Nutella (which comes with two eggs, amazing potatoes, baked beans, bacon and toast. Goodness that's 2-3 meals! But the waffle!!! They've clearly been reading my dessert diary!

This place deserves 4.5 stars. The plates are very good. I always opt for the half waffles plates. You will be very satisfied and full. If you're a meat lover, take the Petinos plate. You get 5 different meats. The brown toast that comes with the plates are huge slices and very fresh. Perfect for the spreads on the table. Now the reason for the 3 Star rating is the service. We were greeted without a smile or warm hello. It was more like, can I take your order cuz my shift is ending. We asked for water, at this day and age we should not have to ask for water and it should be brought to the table. Our waiter brought us our coffee by holding the rims of the cups as opposed to the handles and we saw him handle money just before serving us the coffee. Our waiter never came to ask if the meal was to our liking. I would have loved some real maple syrup with my waffles. He was no where to be found. I'll definitely be back, my wife and kids love it here and so do I. Shame that I have to give it a 3 star when it deserves 4.5.

    Waffles. Cinnamon apples.

A great breakfast and brunch restaurant, in a spacious setting with a smiling staff and very good food. We really enjoyed the waffles (cinnamon apple) and Petinos potatoes, both unique dishes. Not too busy, frequent coffee refills. Will return again for sure.

This is my favorite brunch place. The owner and his staff is amazing! Great food, great service and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. They even have halal meat! I really recommend this place, you will feel taken care of from the moment you get there until you leave. I ordered a plate with eggs, potatoes and pancakes and was perfectly happy with the plate, 5 minutes later the waitress came by appologizing that the pancakes were quite small and that they werent normally that size so she got another extra bigger one made for me. That was so nice of her!

Great restaurant chain! Very spacious and food is great. Only thing that lacks is the coffee which is not that great but has free refills.

Here's the insider scoop: Schnitzel: Perfectly crisp, gold-fried, and so tender I may or may not have audibly moaned mid-bite. Goulash (for real gouoners): A hearty, rich stew that had my friends waxing poetic about Eastern Europe, right in the South Shore. Sides: Beets and seasonal veggies stole the show; bright, fresh, and seasoned like a chef who actually gives a damn. The décor is charmingly rustic-Bohemian: soft lighting, vintage accents, and enough character to make it feel like you stumbled into a cozy Prague café. It's welcoming, warm, and strangely enchanting. Only downside? They didn't have Pilsner Urquell on tap, and my dream Czech pairing dashed. But the food more than made up for it with flavor heavy enough to forgive a brewery oversight. Would I go back? Absolutely. Bohemia is a solid little European escape; right here in Brossard.

We were initially turned away for not having a reservation, ordered to go and were eventually told we could have a table. My daughter felt we were "profiled" and turned away for being American since after we were sat two other couples came in and were sat who clearly did not have reservations, but spoke French. Truthfully, I was shocked but did not care because the food was so delicious. We had the schnitzel and the duck. If you go, speak French!

What a relief it is to finally have a great independent coffee shop/café so close to home. This delightful new addition to the South Shore opened about a year ago and has already become one of our favourites. Being a small family-run business, we were welcomed with so much warmth and hospitality that we did not want to leave. Inside it is warm and cozy with mismatched tables and chairs, coffee-shop blackboards and charming decor, great for getting some work done or catching up with family and friends. We ordered a chicken panini, mocha and cappuccino. The chicken panini was one of the best I have ever had - a generous size full of flavour and fresh ingredients, served alongside house potatoes - delicious! The owner himself prepares all the meals and from the big smile on his face, it is obvious to see he does so with so much love and passion. Being an Italian coffee shop, it is no doubt that the drinks were also spot-on - I just wish the cups were larger as for the price, they were a little on the small side. Seeing the rest of the menu and the talent of the owner & chef, we have already decided to return again for lunch/dinner. For fresh homemade food, lovely atmosphere and exceptional hospitality - Café Lazio is the place!

Let me preface by sharing you enter in the dining room and just behind a glass partition are three senior aged ladies working the phone lines taking orders like it was a busy call center. We ordered a Como special large sub and a half anchovy pepperoni pizza, half Como all dressed. The pizza really blew me away. Fluffy soft and crispy dough with some burnt cheese taste on the edges. It was also had slightly sweet flavour which was mildly discernible. Loaded with toppings. Overall one of the best pizza's I've had in the MTL area. The sub was a solid 7.5 out of 10 loaded and with fresh salads and Italian dressing but the pizza was amazing. Pizza was so good I had to order and other to take home. We wanted to try the Tomahawk but it wasn't on the menu so we decided to do steak on another day. To drink we ordered the apple cider. The cider was delicious and very crispy like I was eating a Cortland apple. We were served crispy bread with herb butter. The bread was crispy like toast and the butter was soft. It came with a small jar of baby dill pickles. They had a good crunch! We started with the lobster bisque. This bisque was very tasty. We could taste the lobster and it was very light; not a heavy or overly creamy soup. Pooh ordered the seafood risotto and I took the Dijon chicken. Both dishes were amazing. Pooh really enjoyed his risotto. He likes the addition of zucchini to give it a little crunch . The seafood was cooked to perfection. My chicken was super tender. I could taste the Dijon mustard. The mashed potatoes were smooth and the green beans were crispy and cooked perfectly. Our server was very polite and checked on us regularly. He apologized for not getting the wine when our meal arrived. Our only complaint was the wine. Usually the wine arrives right before the meal but our meal arrived first and we ate slowly as we waited for the wine to come. The wine arrived five minutes later and the server explained that it wasn't cold enough to give us. By the time I finished eating (because we had to wait for the wine) my potatoes were cold. We finished our evening with dessert. I had the lemon-in-a-jar and Pooh had the Crème brûlée. Pooh's crème brûlée was perfect. My lemon dessert was too sweet. The tartness of the lemon was overpowered by the sweetness of the almond crumble We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent but they need to put the white wine in a cooler sooner.
