What a nice brunch place with great and speedy service! We waited outside in line (they said 1h but it only was 20min wait). The matcha latte was served with an additional pretty touch of edible flowers. The pain brioche doré with pulled pork snd egg was yummy! The order came out within 15min.

Gros Jambon. The saucisse de canard (duck sausage) comes with the meal.

Food is great, waitstaff friendly, relaxed ambiance. You will not leave hungry. Lives up to its reputation. I will return! The line starts before it opens, so get there early.

Definitely a must try if you're in the area!! The menu was diverse, and it was so difficult to pick what to try! We were all so happy with what we ordered! The croissant sandwich was my favorite! Definitely order a latte or their breakfast cocktail (with delicious jam!!). Expect a wait if you're visiting on a weekend morning! So I would recommend getting there early to avoid the long lines.

Régine Café is the place to be For a brunch that's both tasty and chic The food is divine, the ambiance, sick A perfect spot for a lunch or a long, leisurely sit The staff are nice, the service swift And the decor is also a hit Your camera for a snap or two Before diving into the food, so new So if you're looking for a bite to eat In a place that's both stylish and neat Head on over to Régine Café Happy New Year, cheers and santé

I got here about 10 minutes before they opened and there was already a line. Thankfully, I didn't have to wait too long before I was seated. I had the best french toast I ever had at this restaurant! The scotch egg was great as well! Definitely one of the best places for breakfast and brunch in Montreal!

Came to Regine cafe 30 minutes after they opened on a weekday and we were seated immediately. I got the beef and egg benedict and it was amazing! The beef cheek was so tender and flavourful. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Hollandaise sauce was so creamy and velvety. The mashed potatoes were a bit on the salty side but with the rest of the dish, was well balanced. I usually drown my breakfast in ketchup but this meal didn't need any other seasoning. Also got a soy milk latte and it was great. Our server was also really kind and helpful.

Hubby found this place and it was voted top 100 places to eat in Montreal. We don't speak French, but all of the items are detailed in English, right under each one. It was definitely something different to try, and everything was good. We ordered the cafe lattes and the hot chocolate. Both delicious! I had the French toast and it was good. The bananas and cream on top were amazing. Everyone enjoyed the food. The presentation of every dish was a 5 of 5. The decor and vibe are pretty cool. It is definitely a cutesy brunch spot. We got lucky that when we got there, there wasn't a line, and we only waited about 20 mins. However, that line grew pretty quickly!! I don't think I would wait in the cold to eat at this place. The waitress was a sweetheart and very attentive. Everyone was nice and had a smile.

Wow! Best brunch ever. Even when the snow was coming down, Regine Cafe was packed. There was so many people waiting to be seated. Thankfully we had a reservation at 10:30 am. Service was amazing, everyone was very nice. Although we didn't speak French, there was English words right below the French and people communicated with us in English as well. Food was impeccable. Absolutely amazing paired with a mimosa that was I think pear and grapefruit? I really wanted to try the pastries but we were so full we didn't want to order more and not be able to take it to go because we were leaving Montreal soon. I will definitely try out their pastries next time I'm back!

This place was amazing. We didn't have reservations Friday morning but thankfully we arrived right after they opened so we were able to score a table. They are strictly a breakfast/brunch spot so I would recommend coming early or booking a reservation. They do COVID check so I appreciated the safety check. The Champi won us all over. Poached egg were perfect, the rustic bread soaking up the sauce was wonderful, mushrooms were cooked perfectly. We also got a scotch egg on the side of the dish which was delicious- beef wrapped around a yolky egg and deep fried! I loved that it was a well balanced meal, there's greens, protein, carbs, and even fruit to enjoy at the end. We also had the Gaufre. Corn waffle, salmon, poached eggs, pickled onions, baby tomatoes. This was so so good. I would definitely come back and order these two dishes again, in addition to more. The matcha latte was more milk and super light matcha flavor where as the regular hot chocolate with 70% was very cute with a large marshmallow on top. I was disappointed they didn't have crumpets but hopefully they'll have that next time. 100% recommend this place.

Friendly waitstaff, great coffee, huge portions, and low prices. What's not to like? The line. At 10am on a weekday, there were only a few people waiting, and we were seated after just a couple minutes in line. Somehow we got to skip around 6-7 people in line -- perhaps they were waiting for a bigger table? Inside, many families were here, taking their sweet time. It seems life is just a tad slower here, so there were people just relaxing with a book and a drink. It's a fun little breakfast spot.

What an AMAZING brunch spot. We were not sure what to expect since we were visiting from New York but we were blown away. The decor inside was so cute and antique which added to the unique vibe this place gave off and the service was exceptional, the staff was so sweet. I got the œuf et bœuf (English muffin dish) which was incredible the beef was so juicy and tender and the sauce was so flavorful, and my partner had the sucré salé (French toast dish) the ham was delicious and and bread was fluffy. Truly an amazing experience and I cannot wait to return to Montreal to eat here again.

Worth the wait. The staff was kind, patient, attentive. The presentation of the food was great. The taste of the food even better. One of the better spots that I have been for breakfast. The coffee/hot chocolate is probably their strongest department. The white hot chocolate is amazing. The decor and ambiance were very fitting for the fare. Would recommend to others.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. The server seated us without warning, and when we went to order, each item we requested had run out. No Cuban, no chicken melt, no several other delicious sounding things. She gave us 10 more minutes to look over the menu and come up with a plan B. Truthfully I wanted to jump ship, but couldn't because our drink orders were already in, and I was captain of this gastronomic journey. We'd set sail without proper forecasting! We settled on the baked egg and salmon bowl, neither what we were exactly craving. The baked egg was fairly tasty, a shakshouka-esque experience accompanied by rustic bread for hasty dipping. The salmon bowl was excellent, with delicious dressing, but the salmon portion was oh-so-meager. It made me wonder if the lunch rush had given the kitchen such a beating that they had split my salmon filet in half and served it to me and my neighboring table friend. Check out my photo and tell me if that portion seems right? The lore says Michael Jordan worked his rear off every game because he always told himself there was probably at least one kid in the stands who came there to see THE Michael Jordan. Well this kid in the stands caught Olive et Gourmando taking the night off. There is a risk for peril if you choose this restaurant, especially if you are in Montréal for a limited time!

I would assume many were customers first and then realized that this would be a chill place to eat. With my progeny, I almost made the mistake of eating in the Old Port. I mean, maybe chocolate crepes for dinner would have been more consumed than the healthier cheese and chicken alternatives at Chez Jose, but the relaxing vibe, and wholesomeness of it all, made me so relieved that I didn't settle for a tourist trap. I went a long time ago, back in 2021, and I was so happy to have gone again since they relocated to Old Montreal. The exterior is this new building, but inside, it feels like you're in an old building with rustic textures and colours. The ambiance is so lovely and it truly is the best place for delicious brunch items and taking cute pictures too! My friends and I visited on a Saturday morning without reservations, but we went relatively earlier. We were seated right away for a table of 4 and were served teas and coffee. I ordered the Bone Marrow & Duck Confit which consisted of a country-style bread, duck poached egg, bone marrow, confict duck leg, manchego shavings, herb salted crumble and green peas. It's a massive dish and honestly everything tasted amazing all together. The bone marrow was perfectly cooked and the duck poached egg meld everything together. They also give you another bowl so you can put the marrow once you're done eating it. The bread was needed to soak up every part of this delicious dish. Other items ordered was the Foie Gras (Chef's specialty) which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, caramelized onion compote and crispy proscuitto chips. The chips were a wonderful item to pair with the seared foie gras. The foie gras was perfectly cooked. The Rustic is another fan favourite which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, sautéed mushrooms. pulled pork, potatoes and argula sprouts. it is such a beautiful dish - nice colours, many ingredients and placed well on the plate; not to mention it was so good too! The last item was the Croque Monsieur which has country-style bread, maple-glaed Gaspor acon, confit tomatoes, cheddar, duck sunny side-up egg on an endive salad. You can't pick it up and munch on it, so you know how big this must have been! Even cut into pieces, it requires some maneuvering to munch on it. Great place for brunch. Awesome service too.
