Tried to charge me $5000 for a dog. Could get the same dog at Florida Furbabies for a fraction of the price.

How much is for a puppy?

Do not buy a puppy from this company. Way overpriced for what you are expecting to receive. Stocked mainly by “puppy mills”. Then you are nailed with the mandatory fees, which are in addition to the “puppy’s’ price. Plus all the “hidden” charges…

How much do the dogs and do you have a place in pasco florida?

I stopped at the Largo office in January to see a puppy from their web site. After asking several times “how much”, the answer of $6,000 left me speechless.…

This has bothered me for days and I'm sure it will for a long time because I LOVE dogs! I can't help but wonder if that sweet, frightened, sick puppy is still alive? How can heartless employees be allowed to work with animals - that tells me a lot about the management. I will never go in that store again!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time pass by there (which is frequently) it makes me so sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am writing this review to share our unfortunate experience with Petland in Largo, FL. We recently purchased a tiny Pomeranian-Yorkie for $4000, expecting to welcome a healthy, happy puppy into our home. Unfortunately, our experience has been anything but that. From the moment we brought the puppy home, we followed the feeding instructions given to us by Petland, feeding him 3-4 times a day. However, on the third day, the puppy began having seizures and foaming at the mouth. My aunt, who is not able to drive, was alone with the puppy and had to wait for me to come the next morning. When I arrived, the puppy was listless and clearly unwell. We rushed him back to Petland, who advised us to take him to the vet. The vet then instructed us to go to the emergency room, where we discovered that the puppy was hypoglycemic. He was given an IV to stabilize his blood sugar levels, and the vet mentioned he might have liver issues or other health problems that would require further testing to diagnose. Given the puppy's critical condition and the level of care he would need, we returned to Petland to discuss the situation. We explained that we would not be able to provide the necessary medical care for the puppy and requested that they take him back. Petland refused, stating that returning the puppy would be considered animal abandonment. They would offer no reimbursement for the medical care this dog would require, nor would they assist in the care of the dog. I reached out to Petland's corporate office, hoping for a resolution that prioritized the puppy's well-being. However, we were forced to take the puppy home, despite his serious medical issues and our inability to care for him properly. I am extremely disappointed with how Petland handled this situation. They displayed a complete lack of responsibility and compassion for the puppy's health, prioritizing profit over the animal's well-being. Selling a puppy with such severe medical issues without proper care instructions is unethical. I urge potential buyers to think twice before purchasing a pet from Petland, as our experience has been heartbreaking and distressing. The life of the puppy should be the most important concern, and it is deeply troubling that Petland failed to take responsibility for an animal they sold just days prior. We are left with a sick puppy and a significant financial burden, with no support from the pet store that sold him to us.

I purchased an English Bulldog puppy from Sunshine Puppies for about $3,000, thinking it was a…read moreresponsible place based on their claims of working with "top breeders." The staff seemed nice at first, the store looked clean enough, and they assured me the puppies were healthy. Tragically, that was far from the truth. Within weeks of bringing her home, my puppy began showing alarming signs: severe breathing difficulties, collapsing episodes, and constant exhaustion. After rushing to multiple vets and a specialist cardiologist, we got the heartbreaking news--she has Tetralogy of Fallot, a rare and life-threatening congenital heart defect. The vet explained that, sadly, she likely only has 1-2 years to live, even with aggressive treatment, and options like surgery are limited or risky for her breed. Devastated, I returned to the store right away to inform them of the diagnosis and beg for any kind of assistance--whether a partial refund, health support, exchange, or just some accountability for selling a puppy with such a severe, undisclosed condition. The employee listened briefly, showed no real sympathy, and promised the owner would call me immediately to discuss options. That call never happened. Days turned into weeks--no callback, no email, no follow-up whatsoever. Total radio silence. This experience has been emotionally and financially crushing. Thousands spent on diagnostics and ongoing care for a puppy facing a shortened, difficult life, all because the store either skips proper health screening or knowingly sells puppies from questionable sources. Their website talks about "compassionate and responsible breeding programs," but their actions tell a very different story--zero support when a customer needs it most. Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of ethical breeders who health-test extensively or wonderful rescues full of loving dogs needing homes. I deeply regret not choosing one of those options instead. This store broke my heart and left me with no recourse. Save yourself the pain--steer clear of Sunshine Puppies in Largo.

I have purchased 4 snakes from this store--a sand boa, a colombian boa, and two ball pythons-- and all have been wonderful additions to my collection. The employees are all incredibly knowledgable--they are all quite clearly passionate about reptiles themselves, and are always willing to lend a helping hand. We even had these guys do a show for my son's 4th birthday party... It was a blast, and the kids learned so much! I can't recommend this store enough!

Unfortunately,…read morewe have since discovered that the snake appears to have a serious tail condition consistent with tail rot. Looking back at the original photo taken on the very day we purchased the snake, the tail already appears to show the issue. When we contacted the store, we were told they would "never sell a snake with tail rot" and that all sales are final. As new snake owners, we trusted that we were purchasing a healthy animal and did not know what signs to look for at the time. We are now faced with potentially expensive veterinary care for a condition that appears to have already been present when the snake was sold to us. We are documenting everything and having the snake evaluated. *picture of snake on day of purchase and tail rot attached. We would genuinely prefer for the store to work with us and make this right. We hope they will reconsider their response and stand behind the health of the animals they sell. If I could give zero stars, I would zero stars for the health of the animal zero stars for the customer service and business tact.
