The ferrets :( their claws are LONGGGG... no toys... they are fat and these ferrets aren't babies anymore. I know exotic pet owners can be Karens about pet ownership, but these ferrets are being treated inhumanly for their breed of animal. They weren't marked down; otherwise I would have tried to bring them to our Ferret World. I almost cut the nails for them because they were also sliding sliding around... but the employees were just standing around talking and eating. :( Is there some reporting body that can... regulate this? read more

The staff are great and I've purchased at this location once before. The cost for the pups is more than a bit over the top. When you can purchase healthy pets from private breeders at a quarter of the cost I'm not sure why the prices aren't lower. Other items are reasonable and in some cases not found elsewhere. The store is clean and items displayed in a fashion where it's easy to find what you're looking for! Whomever sets the prices for the pups definitely needs to be a lot more reasonable. Purchased a dog for $5000.00 they neglected to tell us he was due for shots a few days later. spoke with a manager who told me it's my problem. This is horrible customer service and extremely poor communication when buying a dog from this place es at the price they charge. Their failure to provide this information could have been deadly for this dog. read more

I consider myself very privileged to have bought a fish from Susie. She was very knowledgeable, cared a great deal about animals, and was able to answer every question I had very professionally. After this experience, I can't imagine buying a fish from anyone else. I went in today to buy a fish. I thought it would be a great low maintenance pet for me to take care for while also working full time. Only, I never knew how complex it was to buying a fish. From getting the right size fish tank, buying filters, setting up the water- it was more than I expected so she suggested a beta fish. Overall, she overcame all of my objectives and was very friendly and patient with me. So much so, I decided to name my fish after her. Little Susie. I've been to this petland many times, everytime I've been, they've had animals sitting in their own feces. But this past visit was awful. My friend and I were one of the first people inside the store and we got a box as soon as we got in. We saw two puppies and they kicked us out of the box because someone else had a scheduled appointment. It was terrible of the staff and management to not prepare or be ready for this scheduled event. Especially being some of the first people in the store. While we continued to walk around, one of the puppies were eating their own feces. when we told the staff, they responded with "oh, we know", and they did nothing to fix it and just let it happen. We will not be back to any petland. read more

This location is usually very clean and employees are usually pretty nice, however as this last time I visited these guys I was very disappointed in what I saw. One of the ferrets that where on display was EXTREMELY malnourished and something was obviously very wrong. This very young baby ferret had absolutely zero meat on him and was too weak to even hold himself up to the point we thought he might be paralyzed. So I brought it to the attention of an employee there do this poor guy could get some help. They contently picked the little guy up and what I see now was only pretend to care. So I'm going around looking at all the other lovely little creatures and noticed that their living environments either was stinky and/or looked inhabitable with feces. Then the next day comes and stop in to see how the baby ferret came along and an employee told me that there was a dead ferret on a table in the back....even though there is a veterinarian RIGHT NEXT TOO THIS STORE. This ferret was clearly mistreated and not supervised correctly as malnourishment like that does not happen over night. I'm disappointed in you Petland, I see now it's all about the high price dogs that you care about. read more
