I like that they also have kennel-less boarding, so that the dogs have the run of the place instead of possibly being stuck next to some incessantly barking dog in the run next to them (which I've seen at a number of kennels), and they have a person there with them the whole night that they can curl up next to. The bonus of being able to use them for both day care and boarding is that your dog is comfortable in a place they know with people they know and love when you have to go away. Two thumbs up!

Initially, I couldn't get ahold of anyone for my inquiry which made me uneasy but after connecting with the owner Julie all those fears went away. You can tell she loves all the pups and is willing to go out of her way to care for them. I thought after a few nights of boarding my shy little lady Journey wouldn't want to go back for daycare but she was so excited to go and play. This speaks volumes as she must have received love and care for her to be willing to be excited to leave us again! Yes, my dog may have *slight* issues with biting your face off if you sniff her butt. This is true. But she's still adorable! Seriously: I don't blame them for not taking my new rescue pup. They have to keep their existing canine clients safe and happy. If (when!) I become a client, I would want them to be very picky about who else they accept. I'm reviewing them anyway b/c they were so good to us. They took a lot of time to interview me (human) and Goldie (puppers). I was so impressed with the setup. Big, bright, clean, welcoming. Lots of doors to keep various dogs and packs separate and safe. Walkie-talkies used to communicate (between humans, not dogs) (at least I didn't see any dogs using them) so there's never a chance of human error resulting in some dogs meeting who shouldn't meet. The owners and staff are all true dog lovers and dog experts. They were so sweet to Goldie! She's still afraid of big dogs who approach her, having recently been rescued from a very tough situation. Kari and Peg didn't have to spend so much time with me, but they did. They sympathized with Goldie's situation and said we could try again in 3 months, after Goldie has had more time to decompress. They gave me good tips for training and recommendations for other ways to socialize her. They even took the time to write a personal email to a group dogwalking company, explaining Goldie's issues and connecting us. I see why everyone raves about Dog Tired! Hopefully one day I'll be a client. My little snapping turtle and I are working on our manners with the sole goal of one day being accepted. :)

He had never gone before, and I wondered how he would be socializing with other dogs and being away from me. I have had the absolute best experience with Happy Dog Day Camp! My pup is waiting at the door at 6am to go play with his friends! He is tired when he gets home, and I feel very safe leaving him there overnight. (Sometimes, I think that he'd rather be there then at home. lol) The prices are the best in town, and you can drop-off / pick-up any time. You don't have to have a set schedule, which makes a world of difference as far as my own schedule. The owner, John, is always welcoming, excited, and knowledgeable! The girls who work there are also so kind and ready to greet Romer, even at 6:30am in the morning. I highly recommend this place and tell everyone I know about how great it is. If you have a pup/dog and want him to have a fun day, this is the place for you!

My puppy died at this facility! Terrible and heart breaking…read more The second day my puppy was at this facility (Happy Dog Day Camp) on Tudor, she was brought to the local emergency vet dead. Equally appalling and unacceptable is that it took the owner approximately two days to get back to me in regards to what happened. It took 15 days to finally find out what happened to my dog and APD had to get involved. My 5 month old puppy was attacked by another dog, and according to the autopsy, died a traumatic death. There are no cameras at this facility that could have put an end to this tragedy. There are no words that can describe the pain my family and I have gone through. If you love your pets, do not board them here.

I found that they didn't communicate with me appropriately or as often as I would have liked. They didn't allow dogs to play or interact with each other especially if they were large dogs, so they were crated the whole time. They allowed my dog to sit in her urine, so when I visited she smelled of urine. In the end, she starved to death. She also took no accountability, the first thing she said was "I hope you're not mad at me, this wasn't my fault" but she was under their care. Animal control was called on her, and because they had 1 video of them feeding her, and because of Zoe's history with anxiety they aren't going to charge her. So, if you have a pet with issues, find another location.
