As I had my female senior cat there, I asked Dr Beck to look at her teeth. He brushed me aside saying "Well she's a senior cat so her teeth are where a senior cat's teeth are." (Well, Dr Numbeck, I had a senior cat who really had teeth issues and I really wanted this cat to be looked at for the same.) Ahem. $360 dollars. The next time I went in with the same cat, I asked for her toenails to be clipped. A $400.00 appointment and Dr Dumbeck said he was busy and "forgot" to clip her nails. A month later I had my cat in a carrier and stopped in to get her blood taken. Multiple vets at the establishment had told me that I could just "stop on by" and have her blood taken by the technicians. SO, I went there and the redhead at the front desk treated me horribly. I wasn't looking dressy (because I'd spent a good hour on my hands and knees finding the cat and getting her into her carrier), and when I asked "Why? The vets said I could bring her by to get a blood sample at any time?" and saying that it'd already cost me close to $800.00 and the simple things I'd asked for her hadn't been done, the dark-haired other desk assistant completely BRAYED at the next customer to come on up. She brayed like a donkey to drown out my questions. The red-head made an appt for the next day and was a complete snark to me. I went home and called back to cancel the appointment and the BRAYING desk assistant answered my call and BRAYED at me as I was complaining about the redhead and her lack of de-escalation skills. I asked all my cats records be forwarded to me and told the office manager quite clearly that I'd been bringing my animals here since 2008 but I would no longer be bringing my business there. Between the vet Dr Dick, or (sorry!) Dr Beck, and those two girls at the front desk, I hope that place 1) gets relocated because the access and parking is HELL and 2) start treating their clients as good people who are concerned about their animals and don't want to be treated like strident imbeciles.

He had never gone before, and I wondered how he would be socializing with other dogs and being away from me. I have had the absolute best experience with Happy Dog Day Camp! My pup is waiting at the door at 6am to go play with his friends! He is tired when he gets home, and I feel very safe leaving him there overnight. (Sometimes, I think that he'd rather be there then at home. lol) The prices are the best in town, and you can drop-off / pick-up any time. You don't have to have a set schedule, which makes a world of difference as far as my own schedule. The owner, John, is always welcoming, excited, and knowledgeable! The girls who work there are also so kind and ready to greet Romer, even at 6:30am in the morning. I highly recommend this place and tell everyone I know about how great it is. If you have a pup/dog and want him to have a fun day, this is the place for you!

My puppy died at this facility! Terrible and heart breaking…read more The second day my puppy was at this facility (Happy Dog Day Camp) on Tudor, she was brought to the local emergency vet dead. Equally appalling and unacceptable is that it took the owner approximately two days to get back to me in regards to what happened. It took 15 days to finally find out what happened to my dog and APD had to get involved. My 5 month old puppy was attacked by another dog, and according to the autopsy, died a traumatic death. There are no cameras at this facility that could have put an end to this tragedy. There are no words that can describe the pain my family and I have gone through. If you love your pets, do not board them here.

They regularly share updates on her day, report cards, photos and videos about her day. They practice some basic training skills and have lots of play time. They also offer advantix, teeth cleaning, nail trimming, etc. So it's great that she can have that all done while she's at school. I researched all of the dog boarding facilities in the area and found Doggie Dog World had the best reviews, I now understand why. They really do care for your dog as if they were their own. Initially, I couldn't get ahold of anyone for my inquiry which made me uneasy but after connecting with the owner Julie all those fears went away. You can tell she loves all the pups and is willing to go out of her way to care for them. I thought after a few nights of boarding my shy little lady Journey wouldn't want to go back for daycare but she was so excited to go and play. This speaks volumes as she must have received love and care for her to be willing to be excited to leave us again! We love that the staff sends us photo updates and that they get to spend a lot of time outside playing. On their most recent stay, we also booked some newly offered spa services. The boys got baths and nail trims. They smell so fresh and have the cutest little bandanas on, and remarkably, their nail trims were successful. I don't know how the staff did it, but Amos has never successfully had his nails trimmed anywhere else. He is a shy dog and he gets grumpy about his nails, so I think it speaks volumes to the level of trust the staff built with him in just a week. Pretty amazing! If you need to board a pet, Lakeside Pet Retreat is a must.
