This has been an "old faithful" for me and some of my co-workers over the years, as it's nearby and rather consistent in delivering good tasting food. The quality can be an issue at times, such as having wilted lettuce on several visits, but overall, the food tastes great and the service has been decent. I definitely like their menu, as there are plenty of choices, from kabob to wraps and all are tasty! Their Greek salads with their dressing are amazing and their hummus is the BEST I've ever eaten! No! To be fair, I have only tried two items at this establishment so I'll need to go back to try the Kebab. Additionally, I did not go but had my spouse run to get me a gyro while she was out. She chose this place because the pictures of kebab look good. However, I did not have the Kebab. I wanted a beef Gyro and did not get what I wanted. The bread was more like a wrap than a pita but it would be good with something else. The meat was not good. The meat was chewy, the lettuce was soggy and the sauce was thin. See photos. The positive is that It came with fries and the fries were good (fresh cut) but nothing special. We tried Petra Grill on a Saturday night and were surprised to see the place quite busy. It made sense once we got our food. Everything was made to order - your order and pay at the counter then sit down and they bring you your food. We ordered the cheese pies, pita and hummus, and zaatar. All were quickly eaten up. I was so pleasantly surprised they had zaatar topped bread on their menu. It was soo good! The kids ordered chicken nuggets and french and gobbled up the pita bread. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and my boyfriend ordered the gyro wrap. We can't wait to return! read more

This little Mediterranean place tucked away in a strip mall in Woodbridge is AMAZING. I had the chicken kabob platter with tabbouleh and the fattoush salad, baba ghanoush, and baklava bc go big or go home. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the garlic sauce it came with was to die for, and both salads were super fresh. The baklava as well was so delicious and a great way the end the meal. I went in as a newbie to their food and spoke with the cashier about what they had to offer and he was able to assist me with types, options and everything. I decided to get food from here on a whim since i wanted something healthy but delicious and this place's rating suggested it would be both so i decided to give it a go. Verdict: maybe healthy but not so delicious. I walked in and ordered the mediterranean platter consisting of beef shawerma, cous cous, hummus, mixed salad and a side of pita. The beef shawerma was cooked really tough and was not very tasty. My dad tasted it and wasnt a fan either. I barely ate most of the meat because of the texture of the meat. The hummus was ok but seriously the packaged versions have tasted better than this hummus. The pita bread seemed fresh when i got it but it was too tough and weirdly crunchy by the time i got home - which shows they dont make their pita inhouse because it did not seem fresh or made in house. The cous cous salad was bland and eh. The side salad was fine. Seriously the star of my whole meal were the dipping sauces; the garlic dip and the green mint chutney is amazing but the meal itself was less than average and something that i would never order again. I would say given that they dont have alot of competition in the area, they could really profit if they would actually serve tasty food as opposed to below average tasting kabobs and okay sides. read more

Excellent shawarma and appetizer platters. I will definitely be eating here on a regular basis now. Mediterranean dieter friendly (get the platters with the couscous salad, delicious). Plenty of Keto options too. This is the cooking I grew up with, but if you're uncertain and new to the scene, order the Petra Platter. I ordered that for my wife and now she's addicted. Comes with garlic sauce, which can really make the flavors pop. Mediterranean Platter is the same thing if you'd like beef shawarma instead of chicken. I've always said that Kebbeh is the best judge of a restaurant in this category, and I can't recommend that enough at Petra. It was fantastic, and it instantly brought me memories of my grandmother's cooking. Can't wait to try out the rest of the menu. read more
