    Chicken Kabob Combo

The chicken was very dry and bland. The tomato, pepper salad I had was very very good. I also got some kind of whipped garlic butter and it was great. The chicken could be better tho

Visited Potomac Mills today and tried a new spot. I consider this place to be both a Mediterranean eatery as well as an Indian cuisine spot. I had the falafel appetizer platter with spinach, chickpeas and rice with black beans as my side choices. The food was good, however, I'm a big fan of both Mediterranean food and Indian food so I've eaten at places that have served authentic dishes from these cultures, I wouldn't say this place is one. The food was still really good. The price is very reasonable and the portions are big. I'd definitely eat here again next time I visit that mall.

First thing: this is inside the Potomac Mills mall. It's going to be crowded, your food will be rushed, and it will be coming off of a stove right behind the cashier. For a food court joint, your expectations should be just that: food court food. This place doesn't try to be a sit down grille or an authentic place. The food: delicious! My husband and I both had a gyro. We noticed they add feta cheese in addition to the meat, lettuce, tomato and tzatiki sauce. I don't think many places do that, at least not in our experience. For $7, there was a good amount of meat and enough flavors to satisfy our hunger. Reading the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect as some say the food is really good while others seem to be distracted at the speed of this establishment. I'm glad I found this place on Yelp before going shopping.

Located in the back of the Potomac Mills Food Court Petra Grill offers offers halal food. When I go here I get the gyro platter and for it to be from the food court I find for the price it's not bad. The portion size is very ample and I can never finish the entire meal. I do not enjoy their mango lassi it is too sweet for me, but you would have to try to see if it is for you. Depending on who is working they may give you a small sample to see if you like it or not. I give it 3 stars bc I usually get a few dry pieces of meat that are a little burnt ( as you can see in the picture). I expect to get them but I wish they'd remove it before serving dry pieces to customers. I guess since they give you soo much meat they figure you won't notice lol! I do like the rice, bread, and dressing. I also removed a star b/c they used to offer chick peas which I enjoyed but not anymore. They were out of the baklava :( If you enjoy this dessert you will like theirs as it is very sweet and very good!! Depending upon the time of day you go you may have a little wait but I have never waited more than 5 minutes for my food. Please stay nearby as they will call your # only once or twice then move on to the next order. Good size portions, good food, cheap price is 3 stars for me!

We went upstairs and the furniture would be more attractive in an antique store. We ordered kibbeh and hummus as appetizer. The meat inside Kibbeh was cold and the server changed it to two new ones. Same result, but now it was frozen in center. We did not bother to mind the staff again. The hummus was good! We also ordered mix grill. I am so sorry but that was a huge disappointment! Meat was burnt, and was a handful to chew in addition. Salad that came with it didn't taste much either, like Arabic salads usually do. Even tough the person that served us was nice and attentive, it doesn't help if the ambiance and the food quality is of so low standard. For hookah evening I recon this place will work for certain parties, for dining only, you should look for a better option.

We were greeted by a lady who was at the top of the stairs. We walked up and that's where the lounging and dining was. I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich ($12) and knafeh ($10), my boyfriend got the lamb kabob sandwich ($12). The Knafeh came out first per request and to put it in the simplest way, I don't think I would come back to order knafeh here... especially not for $10 (only $2 less than our sandwich?!). It definitely got rid of my knafeh craving but I wouldn't come back for it, I'd drive the 24mins to go to Jenins pastry and get knafeh there. My sandwich was delicious. It was very juicy and full. Definitely enjoyed it a lot. The fries were pretty good too. What I got was definitely a safe option but I'm really happy with it. The service? It seemed to be just one casually dressed lady... nothing bad, nothing good. She didn't check in, just walked us to our table, took our order, brought our food, and that's about it. The place? Very dim, very quiet. Would I come back again? Yes, probably just for the wrap and nothing else.

When I walked in,…read morethe restaurant was cold, and no one was at the counter for the first five minutes, so I wasn't expecting much. Hence why I didnt take any pictures. But once I took my first bite, I was hooked. Hands down, this was the best gyro/pita-style sandwich I've ever had! I ordered a mix of lamb, chicken, falafel, and gyro meat, and every single bite was incredible. The flavors were bold, the meat was perfectly seasoned, and the sauces were out of this world. The bread, which was similar to naan, took everything to the next level--it was soft, warm, and perfect for wrapping up all that deliciousness. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful food that will blow your expectations out of the water, don't skip this place. It may not look like much, but trust me, it's worth it! Overall, if chicken kabobs were on the Cheesecake Factory menu, this version would be on the skinnylicious menu for those counting calories and preferring a healthier less indulgent version since flavors seem muted and textures appear lacking due to insufficient oil/grease.

It's a small mart that specializes in middle eastern Mediterranean cuisine and ingredients. They place does not have seating inside, but plenty of seating outside. So plan on either take out or picnicking. They make the food right as you order so things are fresh. The part I really liked about this place was that the sauces were not overly salted - to increase shelf life - and the amount of oil/butter was not overly used to try to mask the ingredients. It's more on the "let the ingredients speak for itself" which I really dig. In the end, you don't feel heavy after the meal and you feel like you had a hearty and healthy meal. My favorite was the lamb shawarma. He toasts the outside pita and it gives it a nice crunch. The lamb is fresher than other places and he doesn't over season it to hide the lamb smell. Other places - if you notice - tends to use cumin a lot of mask the lamb smell. Not here though. The falafel sandwich was okay. It was colder than the lamb shawarma. But the falafels were made right there in front of you. I got the sujuk sandwich too (which is a type of sausage). It was a breakfast burrito basically. Our order took 20 mins to make and he makes it right when you order. So be prepared to stay there and peruse around. Some ingredients there were interesting. The one thing that caught my eye was a bottle of pomegranate molasses. He sells it close to 50% what Harris Teeter would charge and he has various brands of pomegranate molasses. I use pomegranate molasses to make grenadine for cocktails. Also has orange blossom and rose water (also both used for cocktails) I like this place and the guy is nice and sweet.
