Great authentic food and quick service that does not compromise on quality. This is our go-to pizza spot!

The flavor of the regular cheese pizza is ok, but there are other issues about the pizza. I don't think they have the cook times and temperature of the oven dialed down exactly. The crust was hard and chewy on the bottom, and the middle was still an uncooked gob of dough. If there are more toppings on a pizza, then the cook time has to be adjusted and the heat source may have to be indirect. Or they need to look more carefully at their dough mixture. Their crust is a little bit on the denser heavier side. Not many air bubbles at all in the crust, which if it did have more , then it would make it easier to bite into instead of feeling like you're chewing through some rawhide. I'm not bashing this place at all, I'm just trying to provide some constructive criticism so they can really take a look into their product from someone who's eaten pizza for over 50 years around the world. Regardless, Petrilli's seems to have a systematic operation behind the counter which provides good business. Went there on a recommendation from a friend. Their specialty pizza was soooo good and the toppings were very generous. The sausage was really good and not too salty. We ordered a Med and just for size comparison, it was probably larger than a Costco pizza and way way way more toppings than that, which was much much better. The fried calamari was a good amount and very fresh and not at all salty (good thing for our family) but might be a little bland for some. Their small antipasta salad was very fresh and could probably be a meal for one person and came with 2 dressings - their Italian dressing was very good as well (not too salty and not too vinegary). Overall, I highly recommend this nice little gem! I've tried another local "authentic" pizza places but this beat their pizza by a longshot. Petrilli's Pizza is by far, one of the best pizza pies I have ever had in my life--including the best in Chicago and other places. We have been getting pizza from this location for at least ten years, and the outstanding quality and flavor has been consistent--always. Their sausage and pepperoni are as good as it gets--I wish they sold the sausage by the pound. This is a thick crust pizza, and it's a little chewy, but not like deep dish. I always get extra sauce on my order; it makes it even better the day after. One slice qualifies as a meal; it's heavy with toppings. They cut it in squares--a nice departure from the typical wedge slice. Service is always prompt and delivered with a smile. Most pizza joints, when building a jalapeño pizza skimp on the jalapeños. Not Petrill's. I had the large half jalapeño/ mushroom/olive/ pineapple. Their pizza is so delicious. Then you're probably asking why I only gave four stars? Because he tried to charge me for the ranch $.75 each even after I tipped him more than 20%. Great pizza, I've lived in Upland for awhile but never stopped by. They make it exactly how you want it I got the thin crust asked for extra sauce on the pizza and it came out amazing also got the wings. Sometimes when you ask for thin crust with extra sauce it comes out soggy but not here. Wings are great the heat on point We added some jalapeños on half of them wow!! Originally was going to wing stop but the wait was an hour long, glad I didn't choose to wait for Wing Stop and found this place. I've had some very terrible and I mean god awful pizza around this area. So bad that I would rather get Little Cesar's which is honestly solid for the price compared to other places that sell pizza at premium prices. So I can assure you that without a doubt, Petrilli's is some of the finest pizza you can have...if not the best you can have in this area. My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new pizza place and saw that this had a 4.5 star average so we decided to give it a try. Petrilli's Pizza is a hole in the wall family owned pizza place is located in a strip mall. Their pizzas are thick crust. The pizza sizes include small, medium, large, and extra large. Any pizza that's larger than a small is cut into squares. Their cheese is made up of mozzarella and romano cheese. They have around 15 toppings to choose from. Besides pizza, they also serve a small variety of appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. They also have lasagna. We had a medium 16" pizza with half pepperoni and mushrooms and half pineapple ($23). Pizza arrived within 15 minutes. The pizza was a bit dry, hardly any tomato sauce, and the outer edge of the pizza was crispy and tough. Each bite had a bit of a crunch to it. The bottom layer was like a cracker and the top layer was rather fluffy. Pizza wasn't greasy at all as I can put my hand under the bottom of the slice and not get grease on my hands. They seriously overloaded with a lot of toppings. A lot of toppings is usually good but there was too much of it and it became a scavenger hunt to find the cheese. The cheese part was good at least. There wasn't really a good balance of anything in terms of cheese, sauce, and everything else. The pizza didn't taste terrible but was acceptable. There's only two tables. This pizza place is definitely more of a takeout place. Service was okay. The employee seemed a bit stern at first but was more friendly later on. My boyfriend had to go ask for plates once we got the pizza. I guess they assumed we were going to do takeout. Once we were done, the employee just told us to leave the stuff there and he will take care of it. Overall, the pizza was just okay. Price is a bit much for pizza that's not really over the top amazing. There are way better pizza places elsewhere. I don't think I'll be back here anytime soon. read more

My family and I always will pick this pizza spot. Not only great food, but great prices for the amount of food left over we have. I always grab some of this pizza when I'm hosting, and my guests love it! I will also add that there are some tables inside but most likely not a sit down place. More of a pick up and go type. Deliciousness! The crust thick and oh so crunchy even on the bottom . The toppings? Ridiculous. Someone with a heavy hand is laying everything on thick and plentiful. The sausage was basically mini burgers. The pepperonis- wow. I suspect the crust HAS to be crispy on the bottom to bear up under the weight of everything .
