BEST. PIZZA. EVER!! Okay before I begin let me just get one thing straight. I don't like pizza. I know! But I said it. My ex would eat pizza 5 days a week during the twenty years I was married to him. Kind of got me sick of pizza! The first ten years of this marriage was spent not eating pizza at all -- Then hubby said he wanted to go to this place for his birthday a few years back... so I figured since I hadn't had it in so long I could tolerate it. What a surprise! I love this place! I try to remember to order extra sauce but even when we forget, their pizza is amazing. If you like sausage definitely get it! It is the only thing we've ever ordered. (We add onion, black olives, mushrooms and/or tomatoes once in awhile -- but we always get their sausage! Seems like there's too much on there because honestly it's pretty much a solid sheet of meat covering the top ...but when I get back in my car to drive home a few pieces disappear rather quickly :-) I mean: I've gotta test it to make sure it's yummy,, right? Since this place is not too far off the freeway, at Mountain Avenue in Upland, even if you are from out of town it is worth a visit :-) don't expect to eat in the restaurant because there really isn't any room for you in their 10' x 20' storefront but eating in your car is always an option if you live far away :-) you will be back! Petrilli's Pizza hits the spot as a high tier deluxe pizza shop. It's mostly takeout so plan around that, around 25 minutes wait. Being safe, I got their Large Speciality Pizza, which surprised me. The pizza was heavy and the amount of people it is meant to serve is true. The pizza itself taste good, with a lot of meat and green pepper added. Pizza crust is very soft and airy yet thick and filling, you won't need much to conceive a food baby :) ....pizza comes in squares with almost every topping imaginable. Well I was looking for some old fashion Italian pizza with an emphasis on quality ingredients and dough. I tried these guys for the first time, for $36 I got the large square special, I needed a fork lift to carry it out to my car...lets call it substantial! The pie fed 4 very hungry people, two of which are young male bottomless pits. The next day, the pie continued to feed us. Overall, the pizza was great! We order a medium Petrilli's specialty pizza. I was shocked at the $24 price tag. But once I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of toppings on this pizza and its size! The crust was nice and crunchy, very little sauce (a huge plus for me) and loaded with toppings! The only thing missing was some crushed red peppers.
