I thought papa johns was good, but this place is even BETTER! when you walk in and stare at the menu, the prices might surprise you a bit. but the prices are very reasonable because of the quality and the generosity of toppings they put on their pizzas. I think i've pretty much tried everything they have on their menu. The sandwiches are very good and you can tell they use good quality meats and cheeses. As for the pizzas, they are very generous with the toppings. when you open the box the first thing that comes out of your mouth is "holy ^&%&^$^%!!! thats a lot of toppings!" their dough is AMAZING! i could eat it all day long. one of my employees orders double crust whenever she orders pizza there. it's that good. I told the guy on the on the phone im looking for thick crust pizza. Guy on the phone said pizza was thick lots of crust. What I got was nothing like what I picked up. Super thin floppy pizza. I decided to give Petrilli's a try since a neighboring pizza place was closed. I read the yelp reviews and was excited to try another 4-5 star place. Aesthetically, the pizza looked a little burnt on the ends. To go along with that the taste was just not there. The overabundance of ingredients masked the flavor of the crust, cheese and sauce and the crust, itself, was hard, making it difficult to bite through. I ordered a pizza with several toppings and when I got home found out it was missing my favorite, sausage. Since they had me "inspect" the pizza before I left, I thought I was out of luck. So I called them, they verified my order, and told me to come back and they would provide another pizza, with the correct ingredients at no extra charge. I asked about the current one I had, and they said to keep it and enjoy it. Any business can make a mistake, but how they handle correcting it says a lot about how much they care about your business. This was my first time here because it looks suspiciously like Petrillo's in Glendora which has fabulous pizza. In fact, the menu board is exactly the same. THE LARGE IS HUGE!!!!! That out of the way I have to admit the size did not affect the flavor. I have a family of five and I usually order two pizzas a large and a small for my wife and I. But this time I chose a Calzone for my oldest and a large for the rest of us. So if this was a commercial chain we might be left hanging but this is no commercial chain this is Petrilli's Pizza. When I arrived to pick up my pie I was shocked when the nice man at the counter said $39. I thought to myself this better be some gourmet style pizza but hey I ordered it so let's do it. When he handed me my huge box the length of two pizzas side by side I was like oh snap what did I do? I took it to the car and my wife was like what is that? I told her that is the large that I ordered and it weighs about ten pounds easy. The toppings were of good quality and the sausage was bomb and huge and tons of it all over the pizza. The dough had a good flavor but a bit thick for me but I am a thin crust kind of guy unless its pan or Chicago style. I always thought the Gourmet Pizza Shop in Redlands had the best pizza in the IE. One day a co-worker brought us a pizza from Petrilli's. Sorry GPS there is anew king in town. The pepperoni was great but the sausage-WOW! what amazing flavor. And they are extremely generous with their toppings. BEST pizza I have had anyplace and i have been back many times for more. Petrilli's is definitely one of my favorite pizza places. My fiancée and I order it probably once a month and it never disappoints. This is a decent pie in the Upland, CA area. I have eaten pizza all over the country and tend to order the same toppings in order to truly measure the quality. The pros, great cheese that stretches when you eat it and good seasoned sausage. The crust was good not great. The cons, the sauce was sparse and not very flavorful. The pepperoni was not high quality, when it pulls apart and becomes "stringy" when you eat it not the best. Keep in mind, the pie was better than National chains, just not something I would go out of my way to eat again. read more
