This was a convenient way to quickly fill up the gas tank, use clean restrooms, and buy a drink and snack while cleaning off the windshields. I'm going to start by saying that the store is amazingly clean and the ladies that work here are very friendly, I highly recommend the store! The service station on the other hand is awful..... if you like being ignored and waiting 3.5 hours for a 30 min job (and yes I was told 30 minutes). I watched the techs take several smoke breaks and at one point a manager and three techs were just standing around for 30 minutes just talking. I asked several times and was told they would get to it in a minute! Do not come to this time wasting place. My clock was burnt to the ground just waiting on a simple DOT trailer check! Nice lot, fellow does an excellent job & takes pride in his work. Very professional & pleasant. "Works his tail off" according to staff. They have a nice deli as you walk in the door & around the corner a sit down restaurant. Very pleasant wait staff & willing to make you happy. Showers were very clean & an extra towel is no problem. Only 6, but adequate. Fuel islands clean, equipment in good order. Area for dogs to run. One long side of the parking lot is all reserved. Rates vary with time of day apparently. Restrooms clean, some of the locks are loose & may not work. There are hooks for your loose items. Easy to stay here with a cooperative staff & pleasant surroundings in a very thought out small store. read more

Found this place over a year ago while looking for lunch near a job site in Cheatham County. The Iron Skillet restaurant in the gas station is awesome! Been here many times but couldn't find the restaurant on Yelp to check in. I wanted to rave about the salad bar! It marvelous :) So fresh, clean and well stocked with a big variety. Also the two times I've had the soup with my salad; the chicken and rice and the navy bean soup, were absolutely delicious. Just find myself keep saying "Mmmmm" while eating the soup. No way this is canned or premade soup. Ive had the fried fish it had a cornmeal coating and was so tender and flaky inside. Seemed upscale and very fresh. And the spaghetti was good too! This place really has very good quality food. I've been utterly impressed So impressed that I now go out of my way to eat here. If I'm Ill Bellevue I'll drive on out. I reserved a spot 6 hours ago to find out that the reserved spot are full and they don't move trucks after 11pm. So I was SOL out of my money. If petro\TAs are not moving people from parking in spots they are not supposed to be in WHY ARE YOU TAKING DRIVERS MONEY!! They also told me that if a truck is parked some place they are supposed to be parked that they can't move them which is stupid!! Not only are they taking drivers money BUT they let drivers park in areas that is not a parking spot. Like blocking dumpsters and driveways and in front of the shops. The most disgusting thing. I went in to buy coffee and noticed a hot bar (pre-prepped food for purchase). I grabbed two bacon biscuits. Upon returning to my truck I opened the first one. The bacon was charred, beyond recognition as bacon. I open the second? The same thing. That's when I noticed the label said 11-30, not 11:30. Today is 12-3, they were made on 11-30.... And have been sweating and cooking for four days on this rack. Upon approach to the lady at the register, she offered my money back but told me that corporate (TA/Petro) wants this food sold, not thrown away. Just called to check the price on premium gas because I have to drive a ways to get out there. Was told by the employee "I don't have a clue, regular is $1.95" I asked who I would need to call to find out what the price of premium is and the lady rudely said "Who am I speaking with!?" I told her who I was and she guessed that it may be .50 cents added to the $1.95. Said her name is Kacey. I don't feel like doing business with a place that has rude employees like this. I expect someone to be able to find out what the price of the fuel is when someone calls or at least put me on the phone with someone who can help. read more

I don't know why I always stop here when I leave Nashville but I usually do. Hey, it's a truck stop, and has stuff you usually expect in a truckstop atmosphere. They honestly have a little bit of everything and usually close to the best gas/diesel prices at this exit. The actually serve hot food on several warmers(pizza and chicken) and have a restaurant called the Quick Skillet. From the one time I actually ate breakfast here, I would say "quick" might be stretching it a bit. The restrooms are always clean, staff courteous and it's easy in and out type of place. read more

I am reviewing the restaurant, Quick! Skillet, and not the service station as a whole. I have no qualms with the way this place sells gas. The food, however, is worrisome. While some might be quick to disregard a restaurant attached to a gas station, I have had some luck in this regard. For instance, the Whoa Nellie Deli in a gas station in Lee Vining, CA is perhaps my favorite restaurant in the Sierras. However, a more worrying tell-tale sign is that this place has an exclamation mark in its name. That was a warning I should have heeded. I was surprised and temporarily delighted to learn there was a salad bar, and that it was included with a number of the entrees. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, this particular salad bar was a train wreck, the likes of which Nashville has not seen since 1918. First of all, everything was about 10 degrees warmer than it ought to have been...pretty gross for the salad dressings in particular. Also, many of the vegetables were pretty bleached out. I have to give a special one-star shoutout to the small serving of garbanzo beans I scattered around the top. Many places served canned beans, but these had presumably been removed from the can months ago and stored in someone's car trunk. Needless to say, they were just awful and immediately regretted including them in the mix. The salad set my expectations pretty low for the main course, chicken fried streak. Actually, the steak itself wasn't bad...not only was it not fried to a crisp, but it flavor which hinted at some element of seasoning. You could ALMOST say it tasted okay. Unfortunately, the gravy had the consistency of tapioca pudding, and I had to to scrape most of it off to get this dish down. The vegetables tasted frozen, although it almost seemed as if someone had rammed a head of broccoli through a paper shredder and sprinkled it across the top of my carrots, zucchini, and cauliflower. So, we stop in because, hey, there is a salad bar! Okay. We wander in, are not acknowledged. Find a seat, and wait. Nothing, and yes, we were seen. We look around and find where they stash the menus and grab a couple. We sit for a good five minutes reading the menu before a woman says she will be right with us as she walks by. Mind you, they are not that busy. We continue to make our choices when I catch the waitress' reflection in the window. She is at the cash register, finishing up a check and counting her tips, along with chatting with the other waitress. The register closes, she walks off. When she walks back into sight, she's chatting with the cook and has a large drink in her hand and is sipping on it. The cash register opens again. By this time I am through waiting and we leave. I have eaten at Iron Skillets across the country and have had very good experiences, this was simply rudeness. I have waited tables for years and if this is the casual disregard that is shown the customers, then I do not want to know what they ignore in food safety and sanitation. read more

This place is a trip!!!!!!! Get here last night to put fuel in the truck and park for the night. They're out of def fuel. Been broke all week long. Go inside to eat and the waitresses said the place is closed Grill shut off 20 minutes early!!!!! Wake up in a good mood going to take a shower. May I remind you that time is my personal time!!!!! The girl that cleans the showers decided to knock on my door not once but twice. When I got done I was up in her face yelling at her. This is a truck stop. Sure they have gas, diesel, greasy food and slow service, but that is fine for a truck driver who also wants a shower, fillup, and wants to shop in a trucker store. There are better places for families to get gas at this exit. read more
