Everyone that works here are super people. They truly care about your pets and it shows. We started bringing our three miniature toy schnauzer here a few months ago when our neighbors Chris and Christy stopped over at our Camano Island house with there two schnauzers. We asked where they took there dogs to get groomed and they raved about Pets Ahoy. So we gave them a shot and now we bring them here one a month. All three pups come out looking amazing and they are super fast getting them groomed. Usually in two hours all three are done. Our other groomer took all day meaning we would have to drop them off at 8am and usually get a call around 3-4pm to pick them up. Pets Ahoy Grooming is super close to our Camano Houses which makes us love bringing them here. Prices are reasonable compared to the other groomers we tried in Downtown Arlington. read more

This was our first visit and our dogs are always anxious at the vet, etc. We needed nail trimming for our 2 Labs (elder 11 yrs.) and we could not be more pleased with the services they received. I took my pups to Alexa for several years, until one day she called me to come pick up my pups. I left right away from North Stanwood. When I got there, I said hi to her husband and he was rude, he said, do you know what time we close? I of course said I came immediately (as fast as the Friday night traffic would allow) When Alexa called me to pick up my pups. I know I've spoken to other people that have said, that they have experienced something similar. Shame on you for treating your customers so poorly. I would never recommend. read more

We are visiting from out of state and ended up staying longer than planned. Our young Bichon needs groomed every five weeks or so. Our relatives recommended Alexa, whom they use. He has been groomed twice now and we are very pleased. He looks good!! Pricing was higher than what we are used to in Ohio, but everything is significantly higher in Washington - significantly! I will never bring my dogs back. The owner was so rude about me bringing a tripod dog and my dogs were shaking and terrified when they came out to see me and she charged me double what she originally quoted me. A little back story, my current groomers couldn't get me in due to scheduling issues, so I reached out to Ahoy Groomers. On our first call I told her that I had a three-legged long haired 90lbs dog and she corrected me that they are "called tri-pod" dogs, and then a Berner to be groomed. unfortunately we missed our first appointment due to a misunderstanding on time of the appointment. she quoted me about $70 per dog. I have always led with that I have a tri-dog knowing she may need extra support and one groomers wouldn't take her due to their space. I was able to reschedule a month later, and had to call the same day to ensure I was still scheduled since I did not get a schedule reminder text or call. When I arrived, I told her that the Berner just needs a deep shed bath, no cut. and my tripod has mats from her laying on her numb from her three legs And since its been now 3 months since was last groomed. she said okay, pick up would be from 3-4. When I called at about 320pm to see if they are ready she told me they were way more than she expected and she was shocked to see that one only had three legs and she should have been notified ahead of time. "a three-legged dog is a lot to work with" is what she said. her comment was off putting, but I did reminded her that we discussed it this morning as well when we first made the original appointment. she was very stern and short with me on the phone and said she" must not have made that note or forgot". I chalked it up to maybe a long day, or something else was happening and would discuss it with her at pick up. When I arrived she was working on another dog and didn't even say hi, but told the man working that it was DOUBLE what she quoted me. I am sure I looked shocked and my mouth dropped and told her that is double what was quoted. she told me "well they are a lot of work, you didn't tell me she only had three legs and what do you expect." I could not believe the lack of customer service, but even the lack communication skills. I asked, When you noticed she only had three legs, why didn't you call me? Or even let me know she'd be more work, etc. I mentioned that our conversation over the phone was a little off putting and I felt scolded for having a trip-pod, and she told me "well I'm off put that she was a tri-pod". Alexa raised her voice at me and when I asked if she talks to all her clients this way, she said "only to you". I am not upset about the price,(even if it was shocking), and if it was good work, and my dogs were well taken care of; but this interaction was absolutely AWFUL and heartbreaking to think that my dog may have had a terrible time, potentially ruining her experience. She has been getting groomed almost every month for 7 years now, never has this ever happened. I will never bring them back and I pray no one else will ever experience this type of interaction ever! read more

Took my German Shepard for a walk in nail trim and the lady working acted like she'd never seen a dog that was scared of getting their nails cut before. It seems like they had good reviews for nail trims but I guess they just don't have experience with all types of dogs. She specifically stated she couldn't cut my dogs nails if she was going to "act like this". Dogs are not just prone to loving their nails cut, don't you think you should have experience with this if you work at a dog grooming facility? read more

I was called and told perhaps My dog "was senile as that he wasn't allowing her to groom him" He has been groomed every 6 weeks for a over decade at our last groomer.I came to pick him up She continued to rant even after leaving the room Saying "Good Luck finding anyone that would groom that dog" . ( He is a little cocker / poodle) His regular groomer was sad to hear how he was being treated is making room for him. I will drive the hour to our old neighborhood gladly. They were so friendly, super clean and organized, and our dog came out with one of the best grooming jobs he's had in ages. I have a VERY anxious chihuahua mix with Epilepsy. Alexa took the best care of him. She listened to my concerns, walked me through everything, and made sure my pup was safe and well taken care of. My mother-in-law took my dog here while I was out of town. The groomer told her that my dog was too old to get groomed and that it was nearly impossible for her to do because he was so anxious. This was my dog's first visit here so some anxiety was to be expected on his part. My dog has been getting groomed regularly for his entire life and his old groomer never complained of his "anxiety". I will continue to drive him over an hour to his old groomer because this place is a joke. read more

Stay away! This is the worst groomer I've encountered. They do lousy work. They are not easy to deal with. They are expensive. And good luck if your dog is old or has arthritis. They just won't work on your dog. Go any where else than here! read more

Alexa gave our 16 year old "Charlie" an outstanding cut and groom. It was his first appointment at Pets Ahoy and we could not be happier with the outcome. We are sure that Charlie enjoyed the way he looks by the way he struts around the cat. Alexa is a jewel. read more
