I had to download Yelp! to just write this review. This is the worst place that I had to DOWNLOAD this app to complain. Let's start by saying that I called them, made an appointment, and they told me to come in an hour. After giving them my name and phone number, I got there, and the man was being very rude to me and told me that my name wasn't there, trying to say that I WAS LYING when I spent my time driving over there in the first place. And then the guy said, and affirmed that I called another place! That's not even true. I have a small shitzu. They charged me $120. She is an inside dog, and they're telling me that she was tangled, that it was like grooming two dogs. How tangled could she be?? They took advantage of me. Don't waste your time and money. Quite honestly, I kick myself for not coming here sooner. My kitties were both due for a nail trim and I'm too scared to do this myself. One, they are both old and I may mess it up and make them bleed or something and two...well, there is no two. Me potentially hurting them is enough to put some fear in me, enough to seek professional services for. I called around and appointments elsewhere were few and far between and I called this place and low and behold they were able to take us the next day. We walked in and were greeted warmly. I confirmed who we were and what we were there for. The lady there took the first cat and held her tight and cut her little nails to a safe length and then moved on to the next. We were done in 10 minutes flat or so. It was great. *Based on reviews below I have changed my total stars from 5 to 2. The two is only because I felt they were very accommodating. I am scared now for puppies that go there for grooming and other care. Owner was changing the water for the fish as I walked by and around the store, he then asked me why I was in the store in a very hostile manner. I was confused and said I was browsing for some items I needed. He then says if I'm not going to buy anything he's not sure why I'm there. At the time I was a reptile breeder and that same day I took my $2k and went to a competitors store in long beach to pick up the tanks and incubators, and other supplies I needed for my rack system/breeding system. Since it's the only place that's open because of the virus I went ahead and left them there . Wife picks them up 4 hours later. We weren't happy with the cuts but no big deal they still looked better than they did when we took them in , it's been like two months since we got them groomed. Ive adopted kittens from this place. They were healthy so no cons about that. The lady who worked there was very kind. The older man which im assuming is the owner wasnt too friendly. The younger man he WAS okay until i realized he was overcharging me. The lady told me over the phone and in person two more times that the kitten adoption fee was $80. So as i was paying the fee he tells me no the fee is $90. I told him i was told 3 times its $80, and tried adding things so i can pay more. I didnt like him, you can tell he was just trying to take advantage. Oh and one more con, the place is always like a oven. No proper airflow for the animals in there. I am SOOOOOOOO disappointed! I called yesterday & asked what was the earliest appointment they had. The guy told me it starts at 9am. I got here at 9:04 & Snoopy was taken in. It's 11:09am right now & the guy just told me he hasn't been bathed & he won't be ready until after 1pm & that he'll call me. If I knew their process was to cut his hair & move on to the dogs so they can get haircuts & a bath comes later on, I would have NEVER booked & spent $105 for grooming!!!! All he said was, "things happen & there was an 8:30 appt." Ummmmm so you mean to tell me it takes that long to cut hair for 2 small poodle mix???! Come on this place is a JOKE & only want your money! Now I gotta wait until after 1pm to get the pup. On top of that drive all the way to Moreno Valley (currently in Downey) after 1pm to deliver this pup to their new owners (he's a rescue). Worst pet shop I have ever done business with. I feel I was took advantage of. I went in to purchase a gift for my mothers dog. Come to find out she already had the item. I went back to return it the following day. I was told by the gentleman in charge that they do not do full refunds and all I was able to get is a store credit. Nowhere in the store does it say store credit only I have returned an item there and gotten my money back before. If you want to deal with a store that will change the rules to benefit them when they want to then the store might be for you. But for us hard-working honest people I recommend you stay away. Never in my life have I had to give a bad review to a pet store. They definitely lost my business for life as well as my friends and family. They said I should of taken him to vet to get later saying they sold me sick kitten, what sense did that make if I did that I would still be out of the vet money!!! If i could give this place a negative it will DEFINITELY be a NEGATIVE. The guy that groomed him his first words were " YOUR FUCKEN DOG BIT ME" he was extremely rude ! I can only imagine what my poor little pup went through he gets so scared when they even try to touch near his face he either begins to shiver or tends to bite now. He came out bleeding from both edges of his ear, near his tail he no longer has hair AT ALL , and he over-cut his nails as well having him bleed all over me. I have seen them multiple times walking each of the dogs outside one at a time and really taking care of them. One girl, she pets and plays with the dogs. They look happy. I can tell the employees love the animals and treat them nicely. This is so important. That's the first thing I'd look for: do the employees and owner love animals or not? Used to come here a lot, but it has gone downhill. I brought my poodle here a couple times for grooming. The first time was reasonable but the second time they came out and took her from me with a metal choke collar to take her to the grooming area. This made me feel uneasy, my dog is small and has a generally good disposition. When I came to pick her up they charged me 80 bucks instead of the usual 40, quoting me for 'bad behavior'. Sorry Pets and Grooming, I think this bad behavior was caused by how you treated my pet. We also turned in a bunch of freshwater tropical fish when we were downsizing our freshwater tank. We brought them in a bucket and when the guy was putting them in the tank, he spilled them all over the floor. Not a big deal, things happen. It was his non-urgent reaction that set me off. If my husband and I hadn't been standing there watching he seemed like he would have just swept them up and thrown them in the trash. I like to give good reviews but in this case I can't! This review is based solely on the pet store part of the business, not the grooming as I have never used their grooming services. We ordered food at a neighboring store and decided to check out the pet store while we waited for our order. We're in the process of looking to adopt another dog, so we've recently been to a few local pet shops that offer adoptions and thought we would check this one out. They had two cages up against the store front window, one stacked on top of the other. The top cage had a pomeranian. The puppy looked happy enough, that is until it started eating from the pile of poop in the corner. And it was definitely poop, the smell was putrid. Below that cage were three maltese/poodle mix puppies sleeping cuddled together. Their cage looked clean enough, but that's when I realized that the bottom of the cage was a the wire cage itself over a pan-type thing. I've heard of this being done before because it makes it easier to keep the cage clean since the droppings fall through the wire cage bottom on to the pan, but I can only imagine how uncomfortable walking on that wire must be on their tiny paws :/ We walked through the store to the bunny and hamster area. The water dishes were full of the cage bedding. So much so that it looked like a bowl of mush, not water. Granted, it was the end of the day so maybe they had fresh water in the morning, but I still think the cages should have been maintained throughout the day. That was enough for us to get out of there. We won't be returning, and I'd warn anyone tempted to buy pets from here to think twice and really look at the environment the animals are in before purchasing. read more

Do not give this place any business. Decided to take a look inside and the very first thing that hits you is the heat, this place is a literal oven! Felt like I couldn't breathe while walking around, I can't even imagine what the animals were feeling like. Walking through I notice the large rats were hyperventilating probably due to the fact that there was no airflow whatsoever. I take a look at the birds and rabbits and same thing, they were all hyperventilating. Some of the birds didn't even have any water and if they did it wasn't clean.
