Allie is a 5 year old American Shelter Hound. I am so grateful to Adia Robinson and Woof House staff and trainers. I believe that training saved my pups today. My biggest fear has always been that one would get out, and that I would not get my beloved pup back alive. Allie is a Houdini Hound, loves to run and investigate all that is around her. She had gotten out three times, before Woof Houze. Today, while doing yard work, one of gates to my back yard was left open. When I realized this and that both of my pups were out and about, I hollered "Come! To me!" And they BOTH CAME RUNNING BACK TO ME, back through the gate, and looking for congratulations. BEWARE~Very Disappointing Experience…read more I paid K&K Pet Sitting up front and had a meet-and-greet with two sisters and a child approximately two weeks before my scheduled trip. The meet-and-greet went well, and I felt comfortable leaving my dog in their care. The arrangement was for one of the sisters to come to my home on August 12 and stay with my dog until August 15. I was not aware that a child would be staying with either sitter. When the sitter arrived, she told me that my dog was skittish and growling at her. I explained that my daughter could come over to help him become comfortable with her, but the sitter replied that she was not comfortable and would not be coming back. My daughter was willing to come over and help break the ice, but she was leaving for her own vacation the next morning and could not stay with my dog or take over the pet-sitting job. I tried calling the sitter several times but could not reach her. Her sister then texted me and explained that the sitter had recently been bitten by a dog and was no longer comfortable. She also said that she herself was uncomfortable because she has a son and did not want to take the chance. What made this situation even more frustrating was that when the sitter left, she said she had other jobs to go to. I had paid for her to stay with my dog for the entire time, from August 12 through August 15. That was the service I was expecting and had already paid for. This left me thousands of miles away with no pet sitter and very little time to find someone else. I had to stop what I was doing and scramble to find alternative care for my dog. My biggest issue is not that someone ultimately decided they were uncomfortable. I understand that situations can happen. My issue is that these concerns were not communicated before I left, despite having a meet-and-greet two weeks beforehand. I also was not informed that a child would be staying with the sitter, and I was left without the care I had arranged and paid for once I was already away. I found the communication and handling of this situation extremely disappointing. I believe pet owners should know exactly who will be caring for their pets and should be able to rely on the care they have arranged and paid for. Based on my experience, I would not use K&K Pet Sitting again.
