Lola and I have been so happy since finding Khalid. We had been using another walker in the neighborhood but their hours were so limited - basically no evenings,mornings or weekends (WTH?), they frequently walked Lola earlier than the already too early (to fit their schedule) 2 hour time window I requested and worst of all my dog never went poo on her walks (my Lola is far from poo shy). Kind of defeats the whole purpose if the dog don't go. Since switching over to Pets on the Move, things couldn't be more different. Hours are much more flexible, so I can schedule walks according to our schedule, my Lola is walked within the time frame I request, she always goes poo! On top of all that, Khalid texts me so I know what time she was walked and am not stressing out wondering when I need to rush home - a very much appreciated extra! Lola loved him from the first meeting and though she is always super excited to see me when I get home whether it be from work or just downstairs to check the mail, she does seem content and calm after her walks. Khalid is absolutely the BEST. We first hired him to look after our puppy for just a few days when my bf was out of town during the day, since he used to work from home. I returned home each time to a clean floor and a happy pup. Recently, the bf started working full-time and we decided our puppy, though adorable, is definitely not ready to be home alone just yet. So we decided to hire Khalid again. Though we inquired with a couple of other walkers in the area, none of them were nearly as responsive, and their rates were the same, so we decided to stick with Khalid, who we were already confident in. I can't stress enough how terrific he is! He leaves us a quick note every day to let us know how things have gone, happily provides fresh food/water upon request for the dog, and responds to last-minute requests for additional visits super quickly. At the end of December 2010, the partner and I had made plans to take a couple of friends to Israel for a week. All was well and good until we realized that our "baby," a petite Tabby cat named Chloe (Hebrew name Shoshana, in case you were wondering...) would have no one to care for her while we were gone. As newly minted Brooklynites, we had no idea what to do to rectify this situation. Partner: "Um...I guess we could just leave a truckload of food, and pray for the best?" Me: "Are you serious?" Partner: "Um...not if you think it's a stupid idea I'm not..." Cut to me checking out "cat sitters" on Yelp...and discovering Khalid and his company Pets on the Move. Noticing the stellar reviews, my partner set up a time for Khalid to come and meet our cat, and hopefully feed and water her while we were gone. Needless to say, Khalid instantly connected to Chloe, and after charging a reasonable rate, agreed to take care of my lovely cat while I was in the Holy Land. When I came home from my trip, I was delighted to find Chloe sitting on my bed, happily giving herself a bath. Not only had she been fed and watered on the regular (as was apparent by the amount of pet food left on the shelf), her litter had been cleaned out...even thought I didn't ask him to do so. Khalid is the best - don't bother looking at another dog walking service! We switched over to Khalid back in the middle of 2011 and have been kicking ourselves for not calling him sooner. We used to use another walker - British Canine Academy, and had a bad experience with them. Disclaimer - they were absolutely fine in how they treated our dog - however they did not seem to know how to run a SERVICE business. We had 4 dog walkers in the space of 8 months...and often found out they had changed only when we realized the writing on the daily notes they left were different. Excuse me - shouldn't I have a right to know if someone new is coming into my house and this wasn't pre-agreed??? Anyways back to Khalid - he walks our dog twice a day and is always prompt and comes during the time periods we requested. Our dog is quite big (lab sized) and strong but Khalid is great with him. He can get a bit barky when he passes other dogs and can't say hi but Khalid makes sure that there's never an issue. In addition, he is super flexible in terms of timing and days. My husband and I called and checked out a lot of companies when we moved to this part of Brooklyn and Pets on the Move is great across all fronts - professionalism, flexibility, cost, service and most importantly - how they treat our dog! After wearing the good will of all of our nearby acquaintances thin with our cat sitting requests, my hubby and I realized that we were either going to have to hire a cat sitter or get new friends. We like our friends, so we hired Khalid to keep our two cats well fed and well behaved when we're out of town-- and boy am I glad we did! Khalid is extremely diligent and loving in his pet care, and we always return to find our ladies Meg White and Lola happy and healthy. His services are very affordable, and in addition to keeping an eye on your pets, he'll bring in the mail, water plants (and Christmas trees), rotate lights, etc at no extra cost. One of our cats is in poor health and requires extra care, but he takes it all in stride, even where vomit is concerned. While I would have given Khalid top marks in any case, what compelled me to write this review now is the extraordinary dedication he showed to making sure the animals in his care were safe during this week's epic blizzard. In record-breaking weather that rendered most of the Eastern seaboard impassable, he and his team made heroic efforts to get to our cats and sent frequent email updates to reassure us (and no doubt many others) that everything was okay even though we were stuck out of town. The purring cat currently jockeying for lap space with my computer is a testament to Khalid's excellent service. I can't recommend him highly enough. read more

Khalid has been great with my new little pooch! The little guy I adopted back in November has some aggression issues with strangers (we're workin' on it!), but he warmed up to Khalid quickly upon first meeting so I figured Khalid was the dog walker for us! And we haven't been disappointed in the least. He's reliable, communicative, flexible, and - most importantly - great with the dog. And my little guy has required extra patience since he came with some issues - but Khalid has been very patient & cooperative and very willing to incorporate the suggestions Brody's trainer has suggested to help us work through his issues. Best. Cat. Sitter. Ever. I have two very social (somewhat special needs kitties) and Khalid took excellent care of them when I went on a recent trip. Both of my cats obsess a bit over my departure when I go away. When I return home they are (almost) annoying with the amount of attention they crave (but can you blame them???). Khalid gave both cats plenty of love in my absence and when I came home after 4 days away, they acted as if I'd been there all along. He left great detailed notes about his daily visits (including a documented account of their plot to rip open the cat treats bag--in which they succeeded). It was comforting to know I had hired someone who loved animals, has pet-sitting experience, AND is insured, caring for my cats while I was away. Highly recommend Pets on the Move!!! Khalid is very nice and things always go smoothly when we are out of town. We have 2 cats and a dog and our furry friends are always well taken care of. Great rates as well!! Seiarrah and Kaleb did a great job checking in on Mr. Wobbles! They did 3 drop-ins while I was on vacation and sent me pictures and summaries after every visit. They cleaned his litter and made sure his water was topped off each time. Wobs looked happy and relaxed when I got home. Will definitely use Pets on the Move again for cat sitting again! Khalid is amazing. Don't bother wasting time with other dog walking companies. Not only is Khalid incredibly organized, punctual, completely reliable, but he is also personable and generous. We've been with Pets on the Move for several months and have had not a single complaint with the service. Actually, Khalid has gone WAY above and beyond and saved my butt on more than one occasion. Recently, a friend was staying at my apartment while I was out of town, and got locked out. Khalid biked to my apartment to let the friend and my dog back in- ON A SUNDAY MORNING AT 8 AM!!!!!!!!!! Khalid has been taking care of our senior cat for about two years now. We don't go out of town and leave her often, but when we do, he is here to take care of her. This summer, we went away for two weeks...the longest we had ever left her in NYC alone and she is 14 now so we were worried about her. Khalid made an effort to get her out of her hiding places, give her attention and make her be social when he came (he sent photo proof!). The litter was spotless and there were no cat food cans or kitchen mess when we returned as well. He will even get your mail for you if you remember to leave the mailbox key (whoops!) Also, I am not always the best planner, so sometimes he gets an email from me only a week ahead of time to set up cat sitting and he is always available or has coverage for all his clients if for some off reason he isn't. That's a bonus for someone who has an inability to remember to email when she is supposed to email. We definitely recommend him! read more
