Absolutely an embarrassment to have groomers this bad! She did just the opposite of what we wanted to our goldendoodle and then what she did was unfinished and uneven. Lexington has Petsmart, Georgetown has Petsense. Both are very similar, but Petsense is smaller and the prices are a bit more. Petsense is located in the shopping center near Kroger, which is pretty convenient to those of us coming from the south side of Lexington. I was on the hunt for a new collar for Henry, but nothing really caught my eye. They do have a pretty wide selection of collars and leashes, but most were basic colors and such. Although I buy dog food online, I did notice that they advertise that if you buy ten bags of dog food, the eleventh bag is free. I might have to consider this option the next time I'm running too low to wait on delivery. They have daily bath specials, which includes a bath, 10 minute blow dry/brush-out. On Sunday that price for a small dog is $10. Monday through Saturday the price is only a couple of bucks more. read more

If you have a dog, cat, or little furry pets like rabbits and guinea pigs, you can pretty much get basic food and supplies at any grocery store or superstore. Bearded dragon? Supplies are a bit harder to find, and a bit of a longer drive 'round here. My poor Wayne wasn't getting crickets for a few months. Then I found Petsense. Now, I can save myself the trek to Lexington and head out to Petsense in Georgetown to pick up necessary lights and crickets for my little beardie. Petsense is a little pet store in a tiny strip mall near the Kroger parking lot. They've got all the basic supplies, lights, foods, cages, bedding, meds, and so forth for pet needs beyond what any Walmart could carry. It's not as big as Petsmart, but has everything we need (so far). The employees are very helpful and cheerful, which is always a plus. Prices are on average with other pet stores. Nothing to complain about. Happy for Petsense! And my Wayne is happy to have crickets again! read more

I used to like Petsense for grooming but have gotten some not-so-great cuts; however, it wasn't bad and the prices were good. Now, though, they no longer give out coupons, so the prices are as high as other places I've gotten better cuts, so I'll be going elsewhere. read more

I took my dogs to be groomed here in June 2019. I don't recommend this place for grooming. My dogs came back with the worst haircut ever. Their cut was crooked and uneven. It appears that the groomer used dull shears. We normally go to another groomer but they were booked so we chose this place. We won't make that mistake again. The store itself is nice and clean with plenty of nice dog products. read more

I was excited to see a pet store open in Georgetown. They have all the pet supplies you can possibly need and now I don't have to drive to Lexington. They also have cats available for adoption and sell fish. It's right next to Kroger in a convenient location. read more

Great go to for all of your "I need it right now & don't want to head to Lex" needs. I'm a frequent Petsmart shopper but when I can't make it that way, this is a quick 5 min drive away. They have a majority of the treats & wet dog food we mix in with her dry food. It's nice to see a bigger pet store in Georgetown for a change as well! read more

We have shopped at this Pet Sense for almost 2 years. Staff is friendly and store is always clean. Our complaint is on their advertised Buy 10-Get one Free promotion for dog food. We have a Yorkie, so she doesn't go through a bag of dog food very quick. We have purchase our 10th bag, and the clerk said we only have one more for a free one. That is what they told us last month when I bought a bag. When I questioned the clerk, he said one bag must have dropped off. He said every 18 months they drop off. The sign doesn't say Buy 10 in 18 months and get a free bag. That is misleading advertising, and the store should honor what they promote to their customers. read more
