I want to address and issue that we had with our dogs back in January and just recently this past…read moreweek. In short when we boarded our dogs in January they both came down with Kennel cough and Ranger came back with a limp and still has that no one can tell me how that happened when I called. Pet Paradise did refund some of our money, gave us free nail trims because we were charged for them and they were never done and did discount a vet appointment for us. I do appreciate that but we should not have had to pay for the vet visit or their medication because our dogs came down with kennel cough. After the were over the kennel cough we brought them in to have their nails done and they did not due Ranger's back feet because they said he was biting. We have never had this problem ever when we have brought them to you or any other vet. or groomer. The guy groomer you have is great and he has never said anything about Ranger, no has for that matter. I believe the girl who was there that day just did not want to fool with him. The groomer there that day was a girl. Fast forward to this past weekend. I wanted to bring my dogs in for a nail trim like we always have. I was told that 2 of their vaccines had expired and we could not bring them because of that they could not be taken back or could not even come into the lobby. I respect the rules, but my dogs were allowed to contract kennel cough while they were there. This was Gunnar's second time catching kennel cough. My husband got involved and we were refunded our money for our last stay which I appreciate, what I DO NOT appreciate is us being told that Ranger could not come back until he was trained. Our dog is trained, he has stayed there a couple times and did the Meet the Family and there is absolutely NOTHING, I mean NOTHING on his report card or any other time indicating he was not trained. I really take offense to this statement. My husband even told whomever he spoke with, well you have things back there to keep from biting if you think he is. We have always been pleased with Pet Paradise until these past 2 times. I will never bring my dogs there again for the mere fact that now I do not believe they will be taken care of from the issues that we have had. I do not trust Pet Paradise and I will not be referring anyone else to your establishment. If someone would have responded to my email back in February, this could have all be resolved. I will be giving a bad review just so you know. My fur babies are just that, my babies and they will not be treated disrespectfully or for us to be told that Ranger bites which HE DOES NOT! And I know that I will not get a response here either.

The second time, they cut my fur baby up so bad that when I picked him up he tried to bite me. I laid him on the bed because I felt over a rough patch on his body only to discover that he has scabs over his body from being "groomed". That was Monday. I called today to make the owner, Dawn aware of the situation. She did not apologize. She just asked if I wanted him cut a little higher. I told her he wasn't cut bald In The fist place. She just demanded my phone number. Then she was rude when I merely asked the question of whether or not she had notes on how we liked our cairn terrier groomed. She flew off the handle and yelled "I'm not going through this with you! I know how to cut her!" The backstory is the first time we took our dog there she didn't cut her like a cairn terrier. The next time we took her in we brought a picture just to be sure of getting the right cut. Worked out fine. So this time, without the pic, I was just double checking. And she obviously was not pleased with my impertinence. I asked her why asking if she kept notes was so bad. She yelled "if you dont like my work..." and gestured to the door. I took her cue and turned around with my now upset pup. As I left, her parting word was a sarcastic "Whatever!" There's no way I'd ever leave my dog with her. Dogs can't tell you how they've been treated when no one else is around......but I can.
