This was my first time here and it will definitely be my last. My dog had a 1:00 appointment. I explained up front that she's an older dog and said I'd be happy to keep her with me until they were ready. Instead, they took her right away even though the groomer was on break, promising she was "next" and would be done within 3-4 hours. After 3 hours I called, only to be told they were backed up and it would now be at least 5:00 -- but supposedly grooming had already started. Not long after, I received another call saying she still wouldn't be done anywhere near 5:00. I was told if I needed her ready by then, I should have paid extra for an "express" option (which was never even mentioned to me when I booked). When I finally picked her up, my dog was wet, clearly not finished, and had been sitting in a kennel for hours surrounded by barking dogs. Completely unacceptable. Do not believe their timelines, and do not trust them with your pet's comfort. If you actually care about your dog, stay away. read more

Love brining our pups to this PetSmart! One of our dogs attends training classes, having graduated from beginner and intermediate level, now moving on to advanced. She's learned a ton and is night and day from the day we rescued her. Chrystal, the pet trainer, is a saint. She's incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and has a genuine love for animals. Aside from the training classes, the store itself is large, well-stocked, and clean. We're always able to find what we need, and often are able to find sales to save a bit of money. We love the staff at the front as well, the cashiers often sweet talk our pups and give them treats. Love coming here! read more

This store is the WORST grooming location for a cat! The corporate trainer, Drianna, was not only aggressive and what I feel abusive to my cat, she also did a poor job and stated in "her professional opinion he should be done at Lake Underhill Veterinary so he could be sedated". Not sure why she did not like our use of Banfield Veterinary inside of PetSmart where we take all 6 of our rescue cats. My 3 year old Flame Point Siamese, Marshmallow has been groomed every 2 to 3 months sine he was 6 months old with NO problems from anyone except the 2 times he was done at PetSmart in 2 locations. Drianna trained the other groomer at the other location. I feel this explains the problem. If you love you pets like I do, STAY AWAY from PetSmart. I may have to start shopping at Petco. read more

In a shopping strip plaza with several other stores, so there is plenty of parking, but the lot is busy, so you may not get too close a spot. They have the normal items and the standard sales on various things through the store. A good deal can usually be found after holidays or at season changes. They do the pet adoptions on the weekend, the cats were adorable and I took some pics of their cuteness. I love that they allow local adoption agencies space for showcasing. Tons of great animals need a loving home, so go visit! Most of the time staff is at the front on the register, but you can occasionally find someone walking around if you look for them. I recently went to get my dog groom for the first time. The lady act like she wasn't presented with this info that it is his first time. But because my dog is sweet and wants to be around people she decided she couldn't finished his grooming ? I looked at him for a few days and I feel like all they cut was his privates hair. He didn't smell good he didn't have a bandana like they do in the grooming places. And their price for puppy was 45 and I was charged 80 bucks. I just feel like I got played by them. They called me within two hours of dropping him off. It felt rushed. If the trainer couldn't handle being around him then she could have asked someone to help. read more

This place is disgusting. Not one experience has ever been good here. From the dead fish. To the soulless managers and workers. Besides an instance where Google maps says they open at 7am. Believe it or not, their prices (for a 42-lb bag of ltter) were better than Costco (even when the latter has it on sale) - that's saying something. For all my price match people, this is not the store to buy from. I've been working in the veterinary industry for a few years now. My job gets discounts from the Hills website. My vet hospital has told me since day 1 that I am able to price match at any PetSmart, and I've consistently bought food since 2019 at locations up and down FL with no issue. This store was the first time I got turned away. I unfortunately just moved to this area and this was the only option for me late last night. This morning, I went back to my usual store in Orlando and they approved my VIP discount. This is a smaller store so they must have stricter rules, but I did not like their attitude either. This is a great PetSmart!! The groomers here do a great job & my parents dog, Addy always looks so cute after her cut, nail grinding & teeth brushing. The groomers always give her an A+++ because she is such a good girl for them!! I would highly recommend the groomers at this location to anyone & everyone!! This is the most classless and unprofessional store one could imagine. We called ahead to get our three dogs groomed and the staff told us that they were free to come along. So I turned up with the first two dogs and found the staff busy after all, with two dogs already being taken care of--one was already standing on the other side of the glass door, in the foyer. No problem I figured, I'll wait - the sign at the door says 'one dog family at a time due to Covid' - so I stood outside with the two dogs to politely wait our turn, with staff walking back and forth as we did so. Ten minutes later, as I stood there wondering when we'd get in, a diminutive woman walked up with her dog, looked at the sign, then me, and asked if I was waiting. I told her yes, pointed to the sign and the two dogs that could be seen through the glass. So what did she do? She walked up to the door, looked back at me, opened it, poked her head in, and entered the foyer. Fine, I thought, she's simply trying to clarify the situation. Stupid me--never underestimate the brazen self-involvement of people today, especially in the USA. Having sidled inside, and knowing full well from having spoken to me that I was ahead of her, she decided to just bluff it out and jump ahead, because common courtesy is clearly not her strong suit--the word doesn't even exist in her lexicon. I walked in, asked her if she was trying to jump the line, and as expected, she started trying to bluster and rationalize herself, which people like this do--they're utterly shameless. I turned to the two girls on duty, told them that they could well see me standing outside the whole time--their pathetic 'we're standing with the sister' routine? "We didn't realize you were waiting there!" No, I just decided to stand on the spot with two dogs for ten minutes just for something to do (as is usual these days with Covid, there are spots on the floor leading to the door to space waiting customers apart--I was standing on the first one). As pointed out, they were both busy grooming dogs throughout, so it wasn't as if they were free and had overlooked calling me in. Then a young guy, presumably some assistant manager who had been among the people walking by me while I waited, came up due to all the ruckus, and I pointed out that he had seen me and that I was simply going by the signage, pointing to the sign on the door. He agreed with me, then tried reasoning with the woman, who started on him with her histrionics. Clearly too frightened, in this day and age, to be seen as some heavy-handed male playing it tough with a woman, he backed away from what all three of them should have done without even thinking about it, which was to tell the woman to get at the back of the line, as he had timidly tried to explain to her. Instead the moron came back out, looked at me nervously, and stated that he'd take my details and see that the dogs were taken care of. I looked at him and said, "Are you rewarding her disgusting behavior by serving her ahead of me?" He looked at me even more nervously and reiterated the point about taking my details. I repeated the question, and he nodded. That was it. I took the dogs and left. The behaviour, from top to bottom, was appalling. While they could certainly not be held responsible for the shameless harridan's behaviour, everything else that ensued was clearly within their provenance, and they completely failed. The two girls in the salon clearly knew what was going on, but decided that gender politics were more important when the woman refused to back down from her atrocious behaviour. Their male colleague was too spineless and inexperienced to address the situation in an appropriate fashion. Remember, it was explained to all three of them that the woman had asked, and been told by me, that I was waiting my turn in accordance with the sign, so she didn't have a leg to stand on by trying to lay claim to ignorance of the matter by cutting in ahead. End result? Petsmart has lost two long-standing customers who have not only given the local outlet business for years, but even gave a home to one of the dogs, a Peke, they featured there on one of their adoption days--she was with me in fact at the time. The good news is that we have found an alternative site locally that's smaller, owner-operated, very friendly, and cheaper than Petsmart, so good comes from bad. Please, don't give your business to a company that stands by and does nothing when self-entitled idiots decide to do as they please. We've all had to deal with rude people who think they're special, cut lines, and just tough it out. Why give your business to Petsmart if they'll just stand by and do nothing in the face of it, even when they've witnessed it? read more

Nice vets with great recommendations. Dr Howe took care of my lab today. Instead of ordering unnecessary tests the physical exam revealed a blown ACL instead of the feared hip dyspasia. Got rx for pain as needed and referral to ortho dr for further evaluation. Dr Howe also takes care of our old nasty mean and crotchety feline. She said he was doing fine and recommended a different food for him and some otc flea rx. I trust this vet Dr Howe and her care for our pets. Id refer you to her. Took my dog to get groomed on Saturday - was not groomed at all. They said the grooming came with a nail trim. It's obvious his nails were not trimmed. He also smelled the exact same. I know how my dog smells when he's properly groomed. It just looked like they sprayed him down with whatever "dog perfume" they had. I realize they're busy, but for them to take my money and not do a proper job - there's no excuse for that. Do not take your dog to get groomed here. There are other more reputable places who will do a thorough job. I wish I would have read previous reviews before taking my baby here! I have a long hair cat that vomits approximately 3 times a week so the vet suggested a lion cut to get rid of all the long hair he might ingesting. When I picked him up at the vet he had the lion cut alright but the tech working with him had shaved the nipples off too! I told them he didn't need the nipples but I didn't want them shaved off again. So I decided the next time he needed a lion cut I would take him to Petsmart which should do a good job since they are groomers. I told them about the shaving at the vet and said I didn't want that to happen again. Well I picked him up and you guessed it, all shaved with a lion cut including the nipples which I put meds on for a month in case there was irritation from the shaving. Terrible grooming experience. My husband and I took our 3 dogs here and requested a nail trim and grinding for our boy and full grooming package for our girls. They gave the boy back within 5 minutes with nails slightly trimmed and still very long. My husband asked if they had actually cut the nails and the technician replied, no, that he was "too young" at 7 months. We've had his nails trimmed at this location before, so we were obviously confused. My husband asked for a partial refund since the technician admitted to only grinding them slightly for a change of $20 and the manager came over and was quite rude. She insisted that the technician had done the job AND thrown in a free ear cleaning, which the technician also denied. Ultimately, we left without any refund and a 25% completed "paw-dicure." Additionally, another technician accidently injured one of the girls' toes during nail trimming. She was very sorry and it's a known risk of trimming their nails. However, my husband requested to see the vet that examined the toe injury and asked that the injury at least be documented in case of infection and the same manager again was quite rude and dismissive of our concerns. Pet Smart needs to realize that this area is saturated with pet grooming places and we won't be spoken to in a rude manner when we ask about services not performed and injuries sustained by our pets during the grooming process. We will not be back to Pet Smart for future grooming. read more

It's great for pets, shoppers here so far been nice. The prices are more than online but no Science Diet here. So I stopped going. I will say however that I brought Leo here (neglected Mal) for his first Grooming, did everything (nails, shampoo, etc..) after he got his shots the day before. They said 3 hours. I laughed hysterically inside and said to myself you have no clue what you are in for. It was 7 hours later ( and I knew this regardless of their 3 hour quote) he was ready for pick up. When I got him all harnessed up the moment I opened the door from their clinic/grooming operation center, bam!!!! Kids, and adults all came running up to my newly acquired Mal, and fortunately for myself he shown great restraint and openness to other people AND KIDS. My heart was pounding, and my wife (thats whom he chosen as his master) started walking towards the door. They crowded around him literally surrounding him. I did NOT like how people assume your dog will accept them and allow to pet them. Granted he isn't like this off the harness, but on he appears more accepting. I learned this valuable piece of information but not in a way I wanted to learn. I had stood over him and had him on a tight grip but please be aware if you bring your pet here, other humans appear to have possibly no regards of your animal and will assume all is good in the store. I had my guard up and walking on glass the whole time praying to God he didn't bite, or claw or jump on someone resulting in medical issues. The store did nothing to prevent this or discourage others from swarming your pet at all. Just be cautious of what COULD happen is all. Other than this I had no real bad experience. read more

Awful grooming experience: Brought in our dogs for a routine grooming and they did a terrible job. Our dogs' hair were cut unevenly and it looked awful compared to how they've done it in the past. They failed to properly cut their hair and nails. Will not be bringing them back to this location. Not worth the $112.00 dollars we spent. read more

I took my puppy in to get groomed and they called me hours later to pick my dog up they cut him while grooming him. When I arrive my poor puppy was half groomed with huge bandages around his tummy and rear end and tail.Didn't offer to compensate me for anything or even apologize . When I took the bandages off to check the wound he had been cut / nicked several times all over his tail and tummy . I'm not going to express my opinion in this review I'm just stating facts so puppy parents know what they're getting theirselves into. Also petsmart charged me for a flea shampoo and I know he does not have fleas . Trust me trifexis bill can prove that . ( expensive but works ) Would suggest groom a Rama off west colonial . Been using them ever since . Better prices gentle hands offer boarding and for puppy parents who don't like heart worm medicine it's not a requirement here . read more

I have been going to this location for the past 6 months with my puppy. Everytime I have been pretty pleased with my experience. I am going to review two things here: Shopping here AND the Grooming dept. Shopping is a delight, you can bring your pup in and have them check out all the fun stuff and other pups! Everyone is super friendly at this location and they are very helpful. For the grooming dept, they know my baby by name. Everyone there loves her and each time she gets A's on her report cards. Yes, they give out report cards. Keeps you informed of how everything was with the visit and also they schedule a follow up visit for your convenience. Even if you don't make it, no problem. I can say the areas that are visible are kept pretty clean, not sure what the back looks like. They take direction very well with my desires of the cut and care. My pups seems to enjoy it here, just wouldn't keep her there longer than really needed just because I am not sure what the back looks like. So far though, pretty happy with this place but doesn't mean I won't try other places =) read more

I have been going to PetSmart for a really long time. I've had at least ten dogs and two cats during that period. I always go to PetSmart to get dog or cat treats, toys and other knick-knacks. I've even got my baby gold fishes from here, which are now giant gold fish! I've never used there Vet services, but I do use the grooming and almost every visit has been good. There was one animal which required special services because they were allergic to certain soaps and I could never get the high school students in the back to understand that the itching was caused by the soap they used. The prices are always reasonable. The staff is always friendly. I recommend to every one who has pets. A+ rating. read more

They are not trained properly and it is quite expensive considering that my dog is a short haired dog. A simple wash and dry is 33$ And if you want your dog's nails trimmed and filed - it's another 12$! No. I am so done. I can bathe my dog myself. do not purchase small animals from here unless you do research and know the difference in sexes. they say all their guinea pigs are females however in December that was not the case. the one they sold us was 100% male. how do we know? our other female is now going to have 3 babies. so unless you want a lot of extra costs I recommend looking elsewhere. I will now have an extra $600 in costs maybe more if some of the babies are males. ($147 for banfield exam that they refused to cover even though the Oviedo manger said they should since it was their mistake and now $450 to have my boy neutered.)
