Brought my dog to get groomed. Staff clearly have little experience with handling a nervous dog. My dog growled on his first time here and I offered to muzzle him. They stated that they can't leave him muzzled. He gets muzzled every time he goes to the vet as a precaution, even though he's never bit or snipped at anyone but because he shows his nervousness by growling. I have worked with dogs for several years and have rarely found an animal "professional" that refuses service based on nervous behavior, and further refuses service because they will not muzzle a dog. Insane practice to charge as much as they do for grooming services and show this much incompetence and inexperience they have. read more

We came in search of a new harness for our dog Bono. Who we have nicknamed "Houdini" because he has been able to escape his collar and harness. We got up to the register and asked the cashier if she thought we got the right size. Ann, one of the store managers over heard and came to our rescue. She cut off the ties off of the harness we thought would fit and proceeded to place it on Bono and adjusted it to make sure it fit him properly. After all of this, we figured that he would be able to escape this harness as well. So she walked us back to the aisle with the harness choices and recommended a different one. She took that one out of the package and tried it on him, adjusted this one all over again. Mind you, Bono is not very warm to people he doesn't know. She gained rapport with him quickly by giving him some awesome doggy massages. Because of Ann, we found the perfect harness that Bono can't escape out of. Thank you! read more

We were shopping for dog booties. The staff was very knowledgeable. She explained the different types - snow boots vs rubber boots. The two different kinds of snow boots were expensive and very difficult to try on. Would take longer to put on than worth it. Staff was awesome. Not happy with product. read more

I wanted the Furminator, bath, brush, and trim. The Lady told me not to get the FURminator because my dog was under a year old. I still paid for some $26 upgrade for oatmeal bath. They shaved my dogs' butt and clipped his toes. They also said they were going to brush his teeth and I don't believe they did that. What happened to the full trim? He got in my car and hair flew everywhere. Do not go to this place!!! I could've done a better job with a pair of scissors. Extremely unsatisfied. read more

Made an appointment and was told it would take 3 to 4 hours by Caroline. Got there at the 4 hour mark and was told 30 more minutes. My dog was in the back in a kennel waiting. I came back after 30 minutes still waiting in the kennel. It took 5 hours to get his hair cut. He got pushed back because of walk ins. (What is the point of an appointment) His hair cut was sloppy. Short on his shoulders and legs; long on his back and face. I'm most frustrated with was him being in the kennel for so long that he could not go to the bathroom and that it cost $60 for a bad cut. read more

I've taken my miniature poodle here two and a half times. He is a sweet boy, loves other dogs and people but he is a rescue and we weren't sure how he was going to do. I did let them know of this when I scheduled the appointment and reminded them when I dropped him off. Here was my experience: 1) $60 later I got a giant poof ball back. They "misunderstood" and only bathed and brushed him out. 2) I called and spoke with Cara. She said she would take care of it. She said she would be in the following Friday and to schedule with her. So I did. When I dropped my dog off, surprise-surprise she wasn't there. I didn't say anything and dropped my dog off. Basically, after an hour, I was told he was dramatic and were only able to do part of his face and bottom. He looked RIDICULOUS! 3) Scheduled his appointment again and spoke to the groomer. She seemed confident and sounded like she knew what she was doing. About an hour after dropping him off I get a call saying he's too tangled and they recommend the Chi deep conditioning treatment. I agreed. Later I got another call asking if they cut can cut shorter because he's matted. Keep in mind appointments were about 6 weeks apart and he's an inside dog that gets weekly baths. Once again, not knowing, I agreed. They basically shaved my dog and only "shaped" his ears. He looks like he's wearing giant Pom-pond on his head. I cannot believe this!!!! Poor thing is freezing and looks even more ridiculous. And oh, I paid almost $90!!!! I think for short hair dogs they are fine but do not take your baby in if they have otherwise! read more

I am so upset.. my dog came back home with her nose cut, shaved spot, they cut her tail off for no reason.. I paid $113 for them too leave her like this???? I have never had a problem until now. First of all! , Covid is not an excuse for horrible customer service! I have 3 great danes and used to purchase all of their food from this petsmart location , there are multiple reasons that I will not waste my money at a pet smart again, especially this one! Everytime I go to get food for my dogs , that entails once every 3 weeks and I spend 250 plus for food and treats at that time, there is never any of my preferred food in stock , there is never an employee to ask why because they avoid you like the plague! I considered training for my dogs from here as well , same story , avoided by employees, so why would I shop here again? Absolutely despise this PetSmart. Avoid it if possible. The parking lot is cramped, packed. Tried to have our dogs groomed here several times, but the groomers all have terrible attitude. I was told they called to reschedule and never received a call then no 'we're sorry, let's take care of you', instead receive the we're too busy attitude. If you end up buying anything in the store be ready to wait for half an hour because they never open up more than one line. Just awful service, prices suck, why waste your time? read more

older lady working aquatic section of store on 8/28 was super rude and unhelpful. my family built a 20 gallon two part tank that is one part 10 gallon and the other obv 10 gallon too connecting. sounds complicated I know but besides the point. We were told the fish we wanted needed (glow fish) 3 gallons per 1 fish by this lady rudely. She made us feel incompetent even though we've done our research, we're pet owners and wouldn't just buy fish for the hell of it. we said okay even though the fish manufacturers websites clearly states 2 fish per 1 gallon (screenshot below) because these danios are schooling fish and need buddies. older lady was rude asf anyway. She said nope I'll sell you one or two but no more, and then told other employees over radio not to help us any further if we asked. Even though we had tank space for up to 6 fish per their 3:1 ratio with 2 gallons extra. Didn't appreciate her attitude, and the fact that she helped a gentleman prior to us driving 150 miles with live fish, she sold to him easily though. hopefully not a race thing cause we felt we were treated differently being Asian and not Caucasian like the gentleman in line before us. Jim, the store manager rocks! They had a sale on our canned puppy food for $1.00 (normally $1.49 a can). But they were out of that. So Jim told us he isn't worried about doing a rain check, just come in and when they have it on the shelf, tell the cashier that Jim told us to give us the $1.00 per can price. Jim said "we want to be easy to do business with.". I went back a few days later, and they gave me the $1.00 per can price. I bought all they had - 23 cans. We like to stock up, especially at those savings. Great approach for customer loyalty and "stickiness." read more

Few unruly dogs but that's on the owners who did their best to reign in their beasts (rawr!). Pleasant experience and our dog LOVES his new pet bed. I asked the salesman what I would need and he was VERY honest and told me things I did need and not need. I could easily have been taken advantage of because I had NO idea what I needed. There grooming department has no idea what they are doing when it comes to scheduling. They make appointments for the wrong day. Then when you ask to speak with the person you made the appointment with they have no way of telling you who it was. I know for a fact that I had the right day because I had to get my dogs immunizations prior to the appt. They told me they make a courtesy call reminding you of appointment, which they do not. I should of listened to my gut after reading the reviews and went somewhere else. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! read more

Don't go here it's a joke! The employees can't remember to communicate when an appointment is made! The first time we tried to take our dog they didn't remember taking the phone call! No one wrote down all the information we gave them so we had to reschedule the visit. And don't call to let them know you'll be late because they will say it's fine and when you show up they'll say they're too busy. It would be fine, just say you're too busy over the phone! Petsmart has the treats that my cats like, so I'm happy that a Petsmart opened up in Brighton so I can keep my cats supplied without having to travel very far. Understand that it is a Petsmart store, part of a chain of stores. This store has the items you would expect to find in a Petsmart store, including a grooming area and the Banfield animial hospital. Since I adopted my two cats from here, I have to say I'm biased toward this store. It helps that it is the closest of the Petsmart chain to my place. People are friendly. Pets are allowed in the store. There are pets there for adoption. There are lots of things for the pets after adoption. Parking is easy and there are other stores nearby, allowing you to do multiple things in one trip. I will be going back to this store, probably often. read more

They don't carry the filters for the fish tank filtration systems they sell. It makes no sense. Also, they don't have a wide selection of small animal beddings and foods anymore since they rearranged the store. In short? Save time and money by going to Petco for your small animal (bunnies and fish) needs, or order from Amazon instead. read more

The local Petsmart closest to me in Aurora does not carry the cat litter system, Breeze. (Neither does the local Petco) This Petsmart gets five stars for carrying this cat litter system and refills as well as for the great customer service they provide. Have been there twice and the workers are practically falling all over themselves to help the customers. WOW! Our mini Aussie was a MESS and she HATES being brushed! Lori took the time (6 hours) to bath her and SLOWLY brush out her matted fur. We fully expected she would return to us shaved she was so bad, but no! Lori took an amazing amount of time and patience and returned to us a beautiful and happy dog - she didn't have to shave her! AWFUL PET STORE!! Rude Trainer and Manager! Would rather fight with me over a refund for a pet training class than help the other customers in the store! They literally fought with me over the location that I adopted my dog at! Like I was some idiot that had no clue where I picked up my dog. Our family decided to complete training with another company with the shelters permission and instead of issuing a refund with their "no hassle" policy they tried to belittle me and bully me into training with them. I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to the manager and staff of the Brighton CO Petsmart. I flew out to Denver and drove from there to North Platte NE to pick up a half brother for my Dalmatian on Christmas Eve day. I received a collar and leash from the breeder, but the puppy wasn't digging it. I thought I would find the nearest PetSmart to the Denver airport and swing by there to pick up some sort of halter, because we had several hours to kill in the airport terminal before our return flight and I had to get him to walk around with me. I literally pulled up on Christmas Eve at 6:05 and they had already locked the door. I grabbed the puppy and we rapped on the door, and the manager opened the door. I explained my dilemma and he said okay, come on in. One of the staff took me straight to the correct aisle and we were in and out in under 10 minutes. 9/1/17 I did a BOGO for dog treats and purchased 2 bags of the same type of treat but in two different flavors. Bought a $12 bag of treats and received the other for free. My dogs didn't like these treats. I brought back the unopened bag to exchange for something my dogs would actually like and was willing to pay the difference for something better. The manager refused to let me have an even exchange and said I would only get back the $6 for the bag because "that's what the receipt said". Didn't make sense to me. I still paid the $12 for a whole bag, why can't I just replace the unopened bag for something my dogs will actually like? Just honor the BOGO promo. Not sure why they were so hardcore about only giving me back the half. "The receipt says each bag is $6 so we can only give you the $6 back". I thought this was silly. Normally I wouldn't care but I rarely buy my dogs treats due to budget constraints. I am disappointed I have two bags of unusable treats. This Petsmart sucks. Literally every time I go here they are out of small crickets. I came on Wednesday they were fresh out they got more Thursday morning I came Thursday night after work and they are already out. This is the only place in Brighton that sells crickets so they really should stock up. Not only that but I stand waiting for 15 minutes just for them to tell me they are out and the little amount they do have is for their store animals. I went in last night to get an e-collar and some bandage material for my dog. First I walked around looking for the stuff twice and no one except the cashier was there. The cashier had a long line so I went to the Banfield desk to ask them if they knew where the stuff was. the lady there was very rude and told me that they are a completely separate entity from Petsmart and that I would have to find a Petsmart associate. (I will be writing a review for them as well seeing as they are separate). So then I found a sales floor associate and he was helping a guy that was buying a hamster. I asked him is he could just point me in the direction of where to find the stuff. He said they do not sell bandage material and that I would have to go to Target or Walgreens. Then I went back to Banfield to ask them if they had any bandage material they could sell me. again she was rude and told me that they cannot sell or give out supplies. Clearly these people do not want my business. I did find an e-collar and I did buy it. but only to save myself a trip. I will not be back there. It is closest to my house but I will travel to the one on 1-25 and hwy 7 form now on. it is worth it and they are very helpful and friendly there. read more

As I wrote a scathing review about another Petsmart. I wanted to write why I still come to Petsmart for their business. I recently took my dog to another Petsmart this past weekend and it was the worse experience I've had since I started going to Petsmart for my dog's grooming service. It was the first time at that location and I already vow I will never go back. I know I can probably take him to a small mom and pop groomer and it'd be cheaper but here's why I still go to Petsmart, as I did today. My dog's first groom ever was at this Petsmart and we had Kaitlyn. She showed an overwhelming love for animals and the way she showed affection for my dog was powerful. So we decided to continue to take him to the groomer here, as the majority of the employee display the same warmth as Kaitlyn. We've taken him to other petsmart and the passion isn't the same as this petsmart. Everyone here seems to genuinely love animals. As I mentioned about the traumatic experience my dog had endure this past weekend at another Petsmart(in which as a result he's been sick for the past 4 days), taking him here did not disappoint. Kaitlyn remembers my dog Marley and took great care of him. I'm not going to take him anywhere else but here for his service. The groomers at Petsmart are amazing! I just took in my two insane Chihuahuas to get their nails trimmed. My dogs were terrible, but the groomers had incredible patience. They even reassured me that their behavior was normal. They were just wonderful, and I highly recommend the groomers at Petsmart. read more

I have been taking my dogs here for the past 10 years and have never had a bad experience until the last 2 times. I went there this afternoon to check in my dogs for a bath. They went to get the girl that was going to be giving my dogs a bath in the back and when she came out she didn't say hello or even make eye contact. Just went to feeling for mats in my dog right away. I asked the girl (Erica) was to please be gentle with him because he's old and his back legs give out. The response I got was "Can he stand for 15 min?" No compassion, no assurance she would take good care of my senior boy, just a snotty comment. He can stand for 15 min but he will likely sit down occasionally because he's old and stubborn. Which by the way has never been an issue in the past here. Then they almost refused to give a basic bath with conditioner to him because they said he was too matted. I just brushed him last week and again, I have been taking my dogs here for 10 years and have gotten basic services before with no problems. Seems like they just wanted to get the up-charge on the upgraded service. I ended up just walking out and saying I would do it myself. Clearly I can't trust them to be gentle with my senior boy or use a brush correctly. I got a weird feeling the last time they were in too. The girl that checked us out didn't give a progress report, complained that my dog sat down on the table. I've always had a good experience until this new crew of employees. read more

I have taken my dog to be groomed at Petsmart for 4 years and my groomer has done an excellent job. She is very careful and always does an Amazing groom. She considers his coat and dry skin when and always asks if he is healthy and active. read more

We arrived on time and were turned away due to their faulty system not saving my dog's rabies record that I had brought in a few weeks ago. I had to go home and bathe her myself which was not easy as she is pretty heavy. They lacked good customer service skills and were not very apologetic. I will not go back there. read more

Brought my mini schnauzer here to be groomed as my normal groomer was on maternity leave. She was scheduled for 7:30am which we were even early for, they did not finish her cut until 12:30. My normal groomer gets her done in two hours. My pup is young and skittish of the groomers and staying extra long in a kennel is awful, you could tell they over booked. We had plans that afternoon for a movie we had already bought tickets for so my dog ended up having to stay the whole day because of how long the grooming took. The cut wasn't the greatest either. When she comes back from my groomer she's so fluffy and her face is done amazing. I also paid for teeth and extra nail filing, nails weren't done, not sure about the teeth. The final straw was that they burned her with the clippers on her perineal area (anal/vaginal), she is bright red and has scabs from licking after the grooming. I used to work in a grooming salon as a bather in college, I know how a dog gets those burns. She wasn't cooling her clippers enough. Won't be coming back to this shady salon. read more
