I took my dog to Petsmart for the very first time the other day. I wasn't sure how he was going to do in the store, but he did great! We looked around, and got a couple toys and treats. When we were headed to the register, my dog walked into a little room they had. There I saw and met Jackie. She's one of the dog trainers on site. I told her I had just went to a dog training facility before the store and I did not like it. She then told me they had training classes on site and she taught some of the classes. I loved her energy and knowledge about dogs, and my sweet boy went right up to her too. It was such a great interaction that I signed up my dog for group classes! Thanks Jackie! read more

I left a good review for employee Chris on February 4th, He gave us a very positive experience at that time so I was excited to see him when I went in today to get some fish. I have purchased over $400 worth of tanks at Petsmart over the past couple months, I have been into fish keeping since I was 2-3. My family has kept fish for years. I have never in my life went into a store that flat out refuses to sell you fish. I asked for a algae eater (one of my sons favorites) and he says "What size tank and who else is in it?" So I explain it's a 40 gallon and we have two goldfish in there. "Stop feeding the goldfish more than 1-2x a week and you don't need an algae eater, the fish will kill it." ... okay. So we move on and ask about a couple of fish to go into a 20 gallon with some Danios. "There's nothing you can put in there." So at this point we realize he's not going to sell us fish, period and leave the store. I refuse to be interrogated by someone to buy $5 fish. If I don't want to follow their advice they could just say any warranty will be voided if you buy them without taking my advice. That would of been fine. But no they FLAT OUT REFUSED to sell me a fish. Meanwhile I can walk up and buy 20 Bettas if I want, just grab them off the shelf no questions asked.. I can't believe I spent over $400 on supplies and tanks and now I can't even put anything but 2 DANIOS in a 20 gallon and 2 goldfish in a 40 gallon. Just not right. Period. read more

Took my pet there for grooming and a bath for the first time and few days later I found what seemed like a nik on his back, it was probably the size of an 1inch. I took him to the store and the Mgr said oh, no that looks like a spider bite and recommend some wound healing spray. I insisted I really didn't think so because the first picture I took of his wound you could clearly see what looked like a blade nik and some of his hair was cut/missing. She said oh yeah, spider bites will look like that and it will seem as if it his hair was cut....I thought to myself, I aint never seen no spider bite like that, but ok lets see what else she has to say. Couple days later when I was cleaning his original wound, I noticed he had more bleeding on a bigger portion of his back. So I took him to the vet thinking it was a spider bite just like the Petsmart Mgr suggested and the Vet said clearly not a spider bite and there was no venom in his blood work. The vet said something happened there that irritated his skin, but not a spider bite. After they fully shaved his hair you can tell is not a spider bite because that entire general area is severely irritated. In addition, he would have never done that to himself and I never saw him scratching his back so bad to have caused this. So nearly $500 later plus the $80 on his grooming service and this is the result I got, see the picture. A huge irritated area on my dogs back that in my sincere opinion was caused by Petsmart. I have filed formal complaint and waiting on their management teams response. But my advice to you is, unless you wanna spend nearly $600 for a grooming and subject your pet to horrific pain, dont go there. read more

We have been taking our fur kids here for a few years for grooming but usually we have Kaleen B for all of them but today she was not in so we had Maria A for one of them because Kaleen was not in and it was a misstate for sure. First she says it will be $66 and when we get there it was an extra $10 for being matted. Out of all the years we been going she has never been matted and they checked her before taking her back so if she was matted they should have said something about it and not surprise us later. Now after asked about the extra charge Maria A was very rude, argumentative and disrespectful and it went from matted to my dog is lazy and hard to work on. Not to mention her hair is still alot longer than we asked for and didn't want her to fix her due to her unprofessional attitude. Our dog is getting older and we have never in all the years of getting her groomed have had anyone complain she was matted or hard to work on. So needless to say I will not be returning to Petsmart for grooming due to this is the second issue with a groomer. The other being Samantha yelling at another one of our dogs. So only 2 strikes we are not taking another chance. Be warned Maria A and Samantha should never groom anybody's pets. read more

This was my worst experience in a Pet Smart! The night manager on 4/25/24 needs a serious attitude adjustment. I personally would have fired him if he was my employee. He was rude, offensive and unprofessional. You do not walk up to a customer who is about to check out with well over $50 in merchandise and rudely tell them to pick up the ball that your puppy dropped in the isle. Really that's how you speak to your customers and then walk away before I can respond. If you hate your job so much then find another job! The store was empty it's not like you had so much to do! You are a horrible person to have in management. I will not be returning to Pet Smart! read more

I made a appointment online with the petsmart website and when I arrived they said the appointment was for the next day. I told them that I drove 3 hrs to get there and she was happy take care of my dog that day. My dog came out looking great and smelled nice also,highly recommended. I've enjoyed every employee, but let's talk about Jackie the trainer! She has worked magic on my wild and stubborn 105 lb pup! I thought it would be years before I could take him on walks alone or to the river due to his size and out of control pulling, but after continuously training with Jackie those are now done with ease. She is both amazingly patient yet stern with the dogs. If you are considering getting your dog into training I HIGHLY recommend going to Petsmart for training with Jackie, it'll seriously change your life! When your fur baby is a 115# Bordeaux, there is a lot of dog food shopping going on in this house. I usually buy it online since its so convenient. However, we were on vacation during the Christmas - New Year holiday and I couldn't get it delivered in time. Luckily, this Petsmart happened to carry my Dogue's usual Avoderm Lamb and Riceabd had one bag left in stock. The best part was that it was on special and it was $20 less than what I typically pay...and with the perks card, I received a $5 off coupon for my next purchase. The store was not very busy and I was in and out in 10 minutes or so. The cashier was friendly and very helpful (she suggested I get the perks card for the additional savings). The store is a little hidden because you can't see it from the main Highway 95 but it's located within the Target shopping center. read more

Went to Pet Smart with my daughter today. She was a little anxious because they were very busy with an adoption event. So she would not let me put her down. (She's 1) I went in for a large bag of dog food. And let me tell you. EVERY SINGLE employee offered me help. And even to take it out to my car. I told them I was okay. But each person I seen asked. And they gave my daughter a stuffed dog. Excellent customer service!!! read more

Grooming duration time: my schnauzer as there for 4 hours There was a schedule appointment for 9am. It was shortly after 1pm before the Groomer had him/my schnauzer ready. His hair was shaved down (actually more like shaved off completely) instead of working toward dematting in order to preserve his schnauzer cut (include the "skirt") or as much hair as possible. The Groomer nor Department was given consent to shave him down completely. Pictures from his Previous Groomer was shared with this Pet Smart Groomer. This location was only used to lack of available resources and my relocation out of State. My schnauzer is with a friend and we chose this location/Pet Smart. My friend also got the impression that the Groomer was not "pet friendly." He has been groomed many of times in past without a complaint of behavioral problems. As a result, I am without answers to why his hair was shaved off and it required 4 hours. I will not return. An offer to discount the grooming service might have allowed me to reconsider. However uses this Grooming location, I hope your experience is better. This is first time in 9 years that I've had poor Grooming service. I would appreciate a response from the Staff. read more

NOT a fan of this location, why? One, they don't seem to take care of their animals. Two, some of the employees that work there are not friendly. I think the manager is the only one who has had a good & positive attitude when I went to exchange something. Guniea pigs there looked sick and terrible. I had to call on corporate to get that problem fixed! Their cage was nasty and the water looked to be not changed in weeks. I go there once and awhile and still no change. They need to go to the one in Vegas! They at least know how to take care of all their pets, they actually had training on how to care for guniea pigs! Such a shame -_- read more

The place is Nice but pricey. The groomer did not listen to what I have asked and cut my Dog's tail despite my request. My dog could not sit down for days after grooming and we believe that they must have Cut the skin around the sanitation area. I have changed location since then. read more

Bought a parakeet and it died 2 days later. Brought the little feller back in his box and showed the girl at the register my receipt. She asked "well, what do you want me to do?" I told her I came by to see if she had a good recipe so as not to waste this fine piece of fowl. Never getting my joke, she said they did not and went on with her work. Lol. I then told her I really wanted a new bird. After calling the manager over, they looked over the bird ( I thought they were going to demand an autopsy ). Anyway , they quickly replaced the bird. Its been long enough, almost 7 months, so I figure the annoying pregnant girl has to be on maternity leave by now. I don't get to find out. I place an online order for pick up (on black friday) so I don't have to linger with the crowds. They email me saying they've adjusted my order because one of the two items is out of stock. Fine, understood that stock can be off on Black Friday. However, I email back saying I want to cancel the order. I had purchased a matching shampoo-conditioner set and don't one just one of the two. Especially since they only have the conditioner. I frequent the Kingman and Havasu location as well, and would much rather deal with their staff. One out of two nullifies my attempt at one stop shopping. It's now Saturday morning and corporate has emailed me back that I cannot cancel because the system indicates the order was already picked up. Thank god chargebacks exist. So much for trying one last time with this location. read more

Raven is an awesome trainer, she has such passion for her job and she's great with the animals, a real dog whisperer. I hadn't planned on signing my puppy up for classes but met Raven when we were in the grooming department. Her knowledge and enthusiasm had me sold! We just finished our first 6 week session and signed up for another session, I can't wait to see what my baby learns from Raven in the classes to come! read more

Petsmart is a good store but it could be great. The adoption animals are limited even though the shelters are so full. Evey other location does deals on adoptions but not here. The store it self used to carry many ferret products and over the last year its decreased to a forth of an ile. Most the employees at this location need to be more comfortable with all types of animals not just cats or dogs, because of that I've waited extensive time for simple help. The grooming department here is great as well as management. read more
