I decided to set up a small fish tank, so I was searching for gravels, fish and aqua plants. This store was the one that showed up with all three items when I looked on the website. It is not close to me but I decided to go anyway. I got the gravels and plant, then went to get the gold fish. I wanted the cheapest kind just in case it doesn't work out. The attendant was nice, she let me pick the colors. I kept apologizing that for 29 cents a fish I was probably asking too much, but she didn't mind. When I checked out I realized I forgot to get fish food, the cashier went to get a can for me. Overall, I had a great experience at this store. read more

HORRIFIC PERSONNEL - UNPROFESSIONAL- LIARS I showed up for a CONFIRMED scheduled training class only to be told there wasn't one on Saturday 6/14/25! First I was told it was there was no class then I'm told it was pushed back and ask "weren't you notified?" I said no I was not. Then I was told there was a computer "glich" and they would have Kali call me "when she gets a chance", to which I responded I wanted a call as soon as she walked in on Sunday with an explanation. Sunday comes and I FINALLY received a call from Kali at 1:30pm - they open at 10am and was told she be there at 10am, I could barely hear her on the phone, it sounded like she was in the middle of the store - all I heard were people and dogs. I said can you go in an office or something I can't hear you, she said I am in the office, I said can you close the door or something she said it was... LIAR. I proceeded to tell her I was angry and upset because of what happened the day before and it was very unprofessional and wanted to know when this training would start and I did say there better be a class next Saturday. Now Kali says "I feel threatened and I will not do a class with you". So it turns out she and the so called manager Holly had me on speaker phone somewhere in that god forsaken store, they were never going to reschedule the class. This crap hole of a store did the exact same thing to a class I registered for before and that is why I was angry!! I swore I would not ever step foot back into a PetSmart 4 years ago after having the so called grooming manager of the Walden location tell my husband and I to f*ck off when we brought our dog in there to have his nails trimmed, stupid me gave them another chance. With the reputation of dogs being injured by this company, the lying, rude, low caliber of employee that they hire? There are way too many options who deserve my business and money!! read more

Ryan Adams is an excellent trainer. Daisy learned so much in brain games. She learned how to identify colors, objects and words written on paper. It was amazing to see her do all of that. I wish there were more brain games for her to learn. Ryan takes great pride in his work, and is very knowledgeable about so many things-you can tell he really loves animals. I like the deals petsmart offers. The store is clean and the staff will help you. Sometimes they are too busy though... The "groomers" at this location are horrible. I used to go to this location with my GS and Amanda took care of her and did a wonder job. I moved away for a year and then returned. I called to make an appointment and asked if she still worked there. I was told no. I specifically asked for an appointment with a groomer who had experience with German Shepherds and Dogs who cries as my dog whines. I dropped my dog off and didn't get a warm and fuzzy with any of the staff but left my fur baby anyway. She started her crying per usual. Not even 10 minutes later I just a call saying I need to pick her up as she was disruptive to the other dogs. I turned around to go get her.When I walked in my baby was pull up tight against a staff member on a lead and shaking. She wasn't making any noise, just hovering in a corner. There were 2 other dogs getting groomed at the time. There was no barking or whining going on. The groomers are young and not trained properly. I was told I could bring her back in a Monday when it was less busy. I said NO thank you. This is NOT how you treat animals. Do a better job PetSmart. read more

We like going to PetSmart to walk around and take a look at all of the things that we may or may not need, but always end up getting lol. They have a good rewards program for money off of your purchases too. You're always welcomed by a worker, which is very nice to hear these days. We like their store brand kitten food, Simply Nourish, Source. Our little Rosemary seems to love it as well! Lots of choices in anything you're looking for, no matter the animal. I am very upset with the groomers here. I normally get my dog groomed here. But they canceled the first time I was fine with it. Things happen. The second time, I was running a little late due to traffic, I called them and they said it was ok being 5 minutes late. As soon as I was getting my dog out of the car they called to reschedule my appointment. When my fiancé asked why because this was the 2nd time within a week. She explained that her manager made the appointment and she doesn't know how to schedule appointments. I was given my bill after paying I was informed they were in the process of transporting the dog to there vet because they cut a 2 in hole in the dog. The dog was bleeding when they handed me the dog. I took him to my vet were he needed immediate surgery and 9 stitches. Petsmart did pay the vet bill and reimbursed my grooming. No follow up or apology was ever made by Petsmart. mistakes happen but Petsmart customer service is extremely poor. read more

I am very upset to say the least about the "haircut" my 6 month old puppy received! Loki is a shorkie and has been to Petsmart for 3 prior visits, which all went extremely well. He showed no anxiety, as a matter of fact he was excited to return. Today is day2 after his last visit and he is still upset and licking his wounds that he got from ABBEY who groomed him! He has brush burns on both back legs on the inside, above his nose, below his mouth, and on his penis! Upon picking him up, I was sooo shocked when I saw him, he didn't look like my pup. Very short hair which was very chopped up, looks like a child got a hold of the scissors! Even his ears had a "layered look", oh and his tail was not touched!? The initial look was bad enough, but I wanted to get him a new harness and upon removing it and trying on another , I saw all of his wounds and freaked! Poor baby!!! I always thought Petsmart was a respectful/safe place, not anymore! The manager "Ashley" called me and apologized, which was appreciated but now what?? Please do NOT make an appointment with ABBEY. I wish I could give zero stars to this place. Me and the missus walk in with two kittens in dire need of nail trim (which according to their website is a walk-in service with the hours of 9AM-9PM, Mon-Fri) on a Saturday, at 6 PM. Next thing, we are told the only lady who does nail trim is not in and only handles appointments at the beginning and end of her shift, that is, weekdays 7:45AM and 3PM. I wonder if these hours were specifically chosen for the great convenience of working professionals. Anyway, we decide to get a few supplies (a kitten carrier and a nail clipper) before leaving and find out that we need great patience for checkout, since surprise! there's only one counter open on a Saturday evening. Waste of one hour and I would never recommend this place to any working professional with even a tiny bit of respect for their own time. read more

I had over $100 in stuff in my hands today and got up to the register, there was one aisle open and about 8 people in line. I dropped my purchases at one of the closed checkouts and went over to Pet Supplies Plus which took great care of me. There is never enough staff in this store. Today is a Sat afternoon! Why in God's name would they be understaffed on a Sat? The POS system requires at least 5 inputs from either the cashier or customer per transaction. This adds time to each and every transaction... this is after they ask you for your phone number every time because there is no card provided for the Frequent Customer program. Rule #1 of retail.. if people want to give you money... MAKE IT EASY FOR THEM TO DO IT!!! I give up.. Pet Supplies Plus on the other side of the mall on Union Rd is just as close, they have product in stock, and you can check out in a reasonable time. read more

I bring my dog to this location when she needs her nails done, since the staff is incredibly accommodating for my puppy, who can be really nervous when they bring her into the grooming station to clip her nails. They are usually very fast about it, making it as stress-free as they can for her. I usually buy most of my treats for her here, since they have plenty of options as far as bones and chews goes. My dog has a strong jaw so I like to get her the more tougher bones, and while they can be pretty expensive at times, I can usually find something cheap that she won't rip through in two seconds the minute i give it to her. I've also bought a few toys for her from here, most of which end up getting destroyed seconds later, so I'd be a little mindful in case your dog is a chewer so you're not constantly spending money on toys! My pup's harness and food bowls are also from here, and they have both been pretty durable and worth the prices. PetSmart also offers things like dog beds, dog food, flea and tick meds, grooming supplies, poop bags--really, anything you think you would need or could have for a pet, it's probably there. In addition to doggy needs, PetSmart offers whatever you'd need for your cat, bird, or fish. They keep adoptable cats on location, too. You're more than welcome to bring your dog to the store. read more

I also did some research on dogfoodadvisor and it seems like either PetSmart is dropping the ball with how/ where they're storing their kibble, or Simply Nourish needs a recall on ALL their goods ASAP. I am watching a dog for a friend and I took her to PetSmart. I liked the idea you can take ur dog in the store with you. We walked around the store and found a cute shirt for the dog. We asked a girl who worked there if she could looked up a price for us because there was no prices on any of the items we were looking at. She looked at the shirts and couldn't find a price tag like us. She said, don't know, Take it up to the counter and they will tell you. We decided going with something else. When we got up to the register there was a line and we waited patiently. After about 10 mins they open another line up because it seemed that the person in that line was having an issue. Finally it was our turn, Rick the cashier was extremely rude to us. He asked us for our Petco card. We explained to him that we were just watching the dog. He said, well you don't get any of the sale items. We explained, this was on the clearance rack and would it be 11.99? He replied, I don't know if you don't have the card. We asked if he could check, he replied I can't no card no deal. You can open up a card it's free. We explained again we are babysitting and don't want a card and if he could just look up the price for us. He said, I can't without a card. My mom asked the lady behind us if she had a card and if we could use it. The nice lady let us use her card, we still don't know if we would of got it for 11.99 or not. This bitchy blond girl gave us a look of disgust when my wife and I entered the store. We had several coupons and this same bitchy blond said she scanned all the coupons, which she hadn't and then wouldn't show me on the receipt where the coupon savings were. She just said its there. Horrible. We made an appointment to have my grandmother's dog groomed. Her dog had been staying with us since my grandmother fell and broke her leg and had to leave her assisted living home to go to a rehabilitation center for a couple months. Well, they asked us to bring proof of vaccinations which was fine, i called the home my grandmother lives in and they sent me the paperwork. I never really looked at the paperwork, that was my fault, but when we got to petsmart for the appointment they pointed out the vet records were for a dog named Buster, not our dog. I told the girl the story, to which she rolled her eyes scoffed and talked down to me about the threat of rabies. Im sorry my grandma's 10 pound dog is zero threat. I offered to call the vet and see if they would fax it. That was not good enough. I had to bring it in. Again, this is not my dog. My grandmother lives in Jamestown, They wanted me to make a 3 hour trip to get paperwork just to groom a dog??? what? I cancelled and took the dog to Canine Capers in Hamburg.
