Three weeks ago got a puppy and needed everything. I went into Petsmart on Howe and started with a harness. I needed help as I didn't know anything about them. The manager came to assist and was rude and dismissive. Told me that a harness was not for me because I didn't want it to fit tightly, which it did. She dropped it on the floor and walked away. We have been to many different places to get Milo groomed and this is hands down the best place to go! Being able to quickly get an appointment on the app saves so much time! The staff there is great! We had an issues with an appointment and they gave us a free grooming for the trouble. I'd you have any type of doodle we HIGHLY recommend Desiree B! Normally I'm not a "chain" type of person. I love to support local businesses most of the time. However, I have to say that this PetSmart has some wonderful, helpful, and caring employees and groomers. PetSmart has a great adoption packet that they give out with TONS of coupons in a coupon book, even if you didn't adopt from their in-house adoption center. It even has grooming and training coupons in it. I've never owned a dog before and all of the employees were insanely helpful in picking out cages, leashes, food, etc. They went above and beyond in giving us tips and tricks at every turn - even helping us find discounts. And I can't rave enough about the groomers - they love their jobs! They did a lot to my pup for free because they liked her - painted her nails and gave her the most adorable bow! They recommended we do a "happy visit" a few days before, where we took our dog in to give her treats so she didn't hate it there. It definitely helped. We visited the PetSmart a few weeks later to buy treats and the groomer, Heather, noticed my dog and found us in the aisle and came out to say hello. They did a wonderful job and listened to every request we had regarding her grooming and appearance! They even take a picture for you when they're done! I would also recommend Ashley as a groomer as well. The store is clean and I always have a good experience coming here. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I would in a heartbeat. Went here to get a new cat carrier after searching the store for one because I couldn't get any help from an employee I made my way to the register. The cashier asked me for my phone number I wasn't sure why at first so I just said no thanks just the carrier. She then proceeded to ask for my email confused I asked why. she said I HAVE to sign up for their rewards program in order to shop here. Confused I told her I've shopped here a handful of times and have never been told that and asked if she could please just scan my item so I could get on with my day. She rolled her eyes and said in a pissed off voice "I'm just doing my job". I told her her job isn't to trick me into signing up for their rewards program without my permission but to just scan my item and let me pay. She groaned scanned my cat carrier ($42 for the tiniest one they have just go on Amazon guys) I paid and as I left she told me to "have the day I deserve" wouldn't recommend this store to anyone read more

I went to get a Guinea pig at this location, i had everything picked out for the little guy. i made my way to the register to ask someone to get the Guinea pig. a lady ( i think ) said shed send someone over. i stood by the Guinea pig for 15-20 minutes waiting patiently. 3 cashiers and 2 stock works continued helping everyone else and never sent anyone over. in turn i put everything back and left. when they saw i was leaving they said nothing. if i could give this 0 stars i would, terrible terrible location and i would not recommend even as a last resort. read more

This place is a joke, they banned my dog because the groomers do not know what to do if they get an older dog in. They banned me from taking him to any Petsmart in the world because he is old and do not want to have to deal with older dogs. I tried to book my 2 year old Huskey for an appointment and they banned her also. I've taken my dogs here for years and this is just ridiculous. They also cut my dogs eyelid and made him bleed really bad and had to take him for medical treatment. read more

Silly employees who are clueless on pet care and cannot recommend anything because "I have no idea". One of the dog "trainers" , and I use that title very loosely, is ridiculous. More than one employee was overly aggressive about selling tanks with fish to me and my friend. When I said I couldn't afford a large tank an employee shamed me for it and said I probably shouldn't get one. The staff was not friendly and they were condescending to my friend and I and another customer. The employees bragged about turning another customer away because they didn't want to buy a heater for their fish. I overall feel disappointed and judged by a brand that I thought I trusted. I was excited excited to buy a fish with my best friend and we know we are competent enough to take care of one, but they treated us like we were not able to care for animals. I have used Petsmart salon for 12 years Karen started cutting my cocker spaniel when she was a puppy and she is 13now. In the past few years, I rescued another cocker spaniel in which she has been cutting him also. I had always thought she was wonderful at her job I even recommended her but the last few times she seemed stressed out and was taking it out on my dogs. She gave them a choppy haircut and cut them both the last time. She put my old dogs down and was grumpy toward me. I left feeling very sad both times and this time I had just had enough . She is taking on too many dogs in one day. That's causing her so much stress and too much responsibility. This is making her rush with each dog and not doing a good job. The store manager Nicole called me, but not to get my point of view just give Karen excuses I didn't think she was sympathetic to my dogs or me at all. Why be a store manager if you don't care that they're not treated right ? I will not be taking my dogs back where they are not cared for the way I would care for them at home. If you have a dog salon, I would hope that she would care enough about dogs that she would at least listen to the customer of 12 years! I will not be going back. I have 2 Selkirk rex long hair cats that I took in to have shaved. They wouldn't tell me anything until after I paid at the register. Once I paid the girl disclosed that one of my cats had urinated all over herself. I didn't know why they didn't reach out to me as I would have wanted them to rewash her. The girl was yelling at me because they started to get matted. I brought them in as soon as I had the money. I wonder if the worker could have handled this differently instead of attacking me? My other cat had a few cuts on her where they knicked her with the razor. This wasn't disclosed either. My cats were traumatized as they were shivering and withdrawn. They were also supposed to use a hypo allergenic shampoo which wasn't done. Never again. read more

My dog passed away Saturday evening 24 hours after the vets put him on two new medications one called zydaclin for swelling of the gums which have zero risks of death said the vet and phenobarbital for pain which also have no death risk the vet said. The vet also said he is very healthy given his gums so no serious risks should come about the vet said. He has a heart murmur the vet said but the medication won't alter his heart the vet said he doesn't seem to have liquid in his lungs does he cough the vet asked yes I said not horribly but often. He's healthy the vet said no risks when taking this medication just the occasional loss of appetite nausea. So why did I find him on the floor bleeding from his mouth dying ? Have taken my doggie here for 3+ years. My original groomer left so I tried another groomer. Got a call from the groomer during my doggie's appt that she had "nicked" my doggie & that they had to take her to the Vet clinic located in their store. Wasn't so bad that she needed stitches or anything. It was minor, but the trama! Oh, and the cut wasn't good. I decided to give them another try 5 months later, but picked another groomer. Big mistake. Gave that groomer specific instructions about my doggie's ears. (Other groomers get the same instructions, not hard, right?) My dog is a Pappillion, has what they call butterfly ears. I instruct all groomer to not touch (clip or trim) the ears. Pretty basic, huh? Dog came home from that appt without butterfly ears. They trimmed all the fur from her ears. When I saw her at pick up, and asked "what were you thinking" they claimed the 5th. Morons, these groomers are not professionals. Save your pet. read more

She always grooms his long, abundant hair with precision and care, and she often gives me thoughtful tips on how to care for him between grooming sessions. Was not only horribly rude to me but so rude to 4 different employees in my presence. Everyone was friendly and offered great advise. On a previous visit I had the pleasure of interacting with a guy that was so knowledgable about fish & aquariums. He is an asset to your store.
