Our pup was still very nervous and scared but they took great care of her while she was there. They were so kind and gentle with her from what I saw when I dropped her off and picked her up. They also did a wonderful job and cut her exactly how I wanted her cut. The only thing I would recommend they do moving forward is to overestimate the time it will take. They told me 3 hours and after 4 hours, our pup still wasn't ready. We had a training session booked so I had to have them rush the rest of the service. Next time I'll know to make an appointment earlier in the day and expect it to take most of the day.

I called this morning to verify his vet records had been received as requested my vet to, so I could email them myself if they hadn't. Upon speaking with staff, I was notified that they would not be boarding my dog because he had not completed a "Temperament Test" and because he was not neutered. The temperament test was NEVER disclosed to me during my phone call to book, nor was it reminded or mentioned when I received a text to confirm his booking over a week ago. Had I been notified at any point within the last two months i would have made other arrangements as my pet is also NOT NEUTERED. So here I am, the day before I leave for a 9 day 1,600 mile, $4K vacation and being told GOOD LUCK BY HATTIES! Thankfully a family member can help us out and ill be saving nearly $500 but that isn't NEARLY the point. The point is you had MANY opportunities to remind YOUR CLIENT of your requirements. NO notice of temp test or neuter mandate during our phone call, NO reminders when I got the confirmation text, NO email reminders. (Which is funny considering i get 5 emails a month directly from "Hattie Larlham"). I understand and would have gladly complied with a temperament test had I known one needed to be performed. I also would have said NO THANK YOU TWO MONTHS AGO WHEN I CALLED if the lady scheduling my booking even bothered to ask if my 2 year old male King Charles Cavalier was neutered. Disappointed, frustrated and panicked is quite the understatement.

She has been to obedience school, goes to walking trails, to the store, and is boarded in a home with other dogs and had no issues. She is skittish in a new environment so I think she probably did show aggression initially if she was just thrown in with other dogs. My guess is this is what happened instead of acclimating her to her environment. The woman who called also said initially that my dog was fine with humans but then stated she was concerned for the safety of her staff with my dog there. I will never recommend this place

You can tell Kelsey is someone who truly enjoys animals and she gives us the impression she appreciates our animals as much as we do so it is comforting to know they're in such great hands. She is very organized and always confirms our appointments ahead of time, makes sure to send a picture to us each day, and even sweeps the floor so we don't come back to a bunch of pet hair! If she is ever busy and can't fit us in (which is seldom because she works so hard) and we have to use someone else temporarily, we can always tell the service is slightly poorer so we always keep coming back!

She was able to instantly bond with Zeus and leave an amazing first impression! She has been great at taking care of him for me while I go on week long trips for my work in Minneapolis and also visiting family out in California. She always sends photos to me and tells me updates everyday while I am out of town. In November, she mentioned to me that Zeus was drinking too much water and recommended I get him looked at by a vet. When I took Zeus in, the vet diagnosed him with feline diabetes. I would not have been able to get him diagnosed as quickly if it were not for Kelsey looking out for me and his best interests. Kelsey has been also to help with administering insulin for me while I am gone so he is able to be his happy and healthy self while I am gone. Since his diagnosis, she has been great at sending me updates on his water intake and any medical issues that arises. Kelsey is a honest, hard working woman with a passion for all animals. She is dedicated to ensuring all animals in her care are taken care of and loved while their owners are away. I would recommend her to any person in the area who needs someone to take care of their animals. Normally I get very anxious leaving Zeus while I travel. With Kelsey, she has been able to elevate any concerns that I have and make me feel comfortable with traveling anywhere in the US (and Canada!).
