brought my dog in to get his nails clipped. they did all the back ones,but when it came to the front they said they could only get a couple. said he snipped at them. when I got home to try my self I find one of the nails they did was so short it was cracked. Awful customer service. We were told we could provide a screen shot or picture of the shot dates. When we got there, we were turned away. We ran around all morning to get the shot records in the format these other employees were requesting, showed up an hour later for grooming appointment for a dog bath only- turned away. Advice: you can follow your policies, but there is a kind way of dealing with customers which is completely absent from the front desk and manager. I told them they lost a customer and they couldn't care less- rude people! read more

EDIT: I found out the name of the really friendly girl who works here. Her name is Sandra. We love the convenience of in store pickup and the website usually has a discount if you pick up in store. I find that PetSmart has better prices and a better selection than Petco across the street. The store is cleaner and more organized than Petco. I usually pick up my orders in the mornings on weekdays and the young girl who works the register is very nice and cheerful. She always is quick to get the order and always smiles. As a career retail manager I know this is underappreciated. The one time I had to make a return the clerk was courteous and fast. read more

The people at petsmart grooming in Enfield, Ct can't even get an appointment correct. I think them I wanted my dog to get the furnimaidure and a haircut but they oy put my dog down for a furnimaidure. They are lazy people but they want to.get paid good money, pathetic. read more

I walked in randomly to just look around today and when I got to the fish area almost every tank had dead fish in it. It was truly so upsetting as it was the middle of the day and there were employees around who could've easily been taking care of it. Some tanks were only filled with dead fish while others had fish in there who looked like they had been dead for days and were grey and rotting. It was an extremely disturbing experience and there were ways in which the staff could've avoided them just rotting in the tank. read more

While we prefer to spend our money at local pet stores, Pet Smart is miles ahead of Petco. Always clean. Always well stocked. Always not smelly. Three things that have historically been an issue at Petco, at least since I've been going there. read more

This review is for the grooming service at the Pet smart Enfield location. Un reliable, unprofessional service. Find another groomer- there are several in the area. I took my dog for grooming after personally checking with the grooming saloon and making an appointment , since he is recovering from a spine surgery and needs some extra care.. The girl who was there said that would be fine and explained to me that two of the groomers would do his grooming together since he might need to be held at his hind legs. I went there once more and confirmed all this, and finally got him for the appointment and the groomer who is there tells me - "oh we won't be able to do his grooming, sorry". Why- because he has difficulty with his hind leg strength. Well that's why I checked with them beforehand , twice. Then another (senior !!!!) guy comes to talk to me and He is not even ashamed to say- "the person who talked to you probably did not understand what you said "..Really?? What part of "had spine surgery" and "Has difficulty standing " is so difficult for anyone with bare minimum common sense to understand? If these guys had said at the beginning "We don't have the expertise" , I would have been fine with it. But, they promised me they do and made an appointment and when time comes, tells me so shamelessly.. "Sorry we can't do it" and turns me away. I had such difficulty arranging a baby sitter, getting time off work etc to take my dog for this appointment , all ended up getting wasted. Please have some respect for the thing called "Customers". They are the people who are keeping you in business.. Poor show Petsmart !!!! read more

I've taken two standard poodles to Petsmart for grooming and been happiest here with the exceptionally beautiful cuts. The service is always equally good. They will come out to your car to get your dog if he hesitates to get out of it. read more

Pretty P-Oed that the associates in this store as well as the "fish expert" neglect the fact there are many many dead fish in their store due to, I believe to be Columnaris (a very deadly bacterial infectious disease that starts as a white spot and within days it attacks their flesh and creates open wounds and they die. This bacteria spreads like wildfire and within 2 days your fish is dead... Not easy or cheap to treat... I have lost about 8 fish so far due to 1 infected guppy I brought home that showed signs of the infection about 2 days after I got it from the store, you get what looks to be a healthy fish and dont know until its too late it was not... when I brought it back (because it died and already my other fish were showing signs) there were many many fish from the same tank I got it from dead already with the same signs and others throughout the store infected with the white lesions... Mind you all the tanks are connected by 1 sump so the bacteria is in all the tanks but the "fish expert" I brought it up to "didnt notice any widespread infection or dead fish" HOW do you not notice or take care of a tank with about 15-20 dead fish in one tank and many in surrounding tanks... I went back the next day and the dead ones were removed and the likely infected ones were still for sale Why would someone knowingly allow someone to buy these ill, contagious fish?? They need to pay closer attention to why their fish are dying and not brush it off to "stress" I think they are just lazy, irresponsible, and clearly dont care that people are bringing these fish home and bringing this bacteria home to their tanks with them also... They are costing people like myself a lot of time and money... I have lost half the population in my tank due to their neglect in taking care of the problem and have had to restart my tank... I would not recommend anyone buy fish from this store unless you have a hospital/quarantine tank and watch the fish very closely for a period of time before putting it with your other fish.... read more

This is one of the worst petsmart franchises I have ever been to. First off the staff is very unfriendly and very unhelpful. I wanted to adopt a cat and asked an employee if I could pet them and she said "I can't let you in, she has to." So I asked who "she" was. The employee literally rolled her eyes and said "theres literally one person over there" well there was actually no one there because I was JUST over there and no one was around! So when I finally tracked down someone else (I just wanted to adopt a cat, guys...) I asked that employee if I could look at them and she said "I don't have time to do that now" and went about cleaning the fish tanks... Ummm are you kidding me?! Definitely NOT customer friendly and all I wanted to do was adopt a homeless cat! Terrible terrible customer service and RUDE staff. read more

On 2/28 I walked into Petsmart Enfield and inquired about a Dog Bath for my 4 year old mixed breed. My wife and I rescued this dog when he was a puppy and have since had him bathed and his nails cut at various stores (Petsmart, Petco and private groomers.) Never had I been treated as I had today. Firstly, the grooming salon hours posted are 7am-7pm. Fun fact, the only way to enter the grooming salon is through the store, which hours are posted as 9am-9pm (you can verify by your website.) Secondly, the person that I dealt with tried classifying our dog as a Lab. With all due respect, the dog was on a leash standing next to me, and clearly is NOT a lab. In case your staff would like a quick review on dog breeds/sizes, I would refer them to look at the AKA guides. A Lab, is around the 60lb range. The "lab" that I brought into your Petsmart location weighs 30lbs, so clearly NOT a lab. All I was trying to do was get his nails cut, and a bath, but your location felt that charging us "lab" prices since your "system would only allow breeds to be entered." So getting back to the point where we rescued this dog, his paperwork stated he was a Terrier mix. So your associate attempted to find a terrier, but couldn't find one that was short haired (like the dog standing in front of the associate.) At this point another associate informed me that we could get a DNA test. Well isn't that a great suggestion! I will go and get a DNA test so Petsmart can give my dog a bath. I will never recommend using any of your services, at any of your locations. Might I also note, that you were clearly booked up for the whole weekend (that's 36 hours!) I went to your direct competition PetCO, and got him right in with no headache of "trying to find out what kind of dog he is." Your district manager might want to review best practices with his locations, as this store clearly needs some assistance. read more
