    Dirt on hind legs
    Rach Y.

Grooming is a hit or miss with this location depending on who completes the service. But this time was the last time I'd take my husky, why? Because I was told they will not longer do services for me. Yep. I was blacklisted because I called after a flea bath for my dog and requested a re-do because my dog was left with a bunch of flea dirt on her hind legs and lower back. I noticed this 2 days after the groom when I was brushing her. I called petsmart to and kindly let them know of the situation and asked for a quick re-wash of her hind legs. and so they transferred me to the manager - Stephanie - who was incredibly unpleasant to speak with. She was very passive aggressive said I should have noticed the dirt right there in the store before I took her home. I asked her why they would expect me to check in between all the fur of my 75 lb long-haired husky during pick up and she just kept saying She proceeded to say someone will call me about a refund and that they will no longer provide services. Incredibly condescending exchange from this manager.

I took my puppy to get groomed in May, but I didn't want to write this review until now because of how furious I was. I requested Suzanna H, as we had been with her before and everything was fine. I booked for a puppy bath and trim, and asked to clean up my puppy's sanitary areas and his legs. I was told he would need to be shaved down because his legs had a little bit of matting and I signed saying I was okay with that. I then receive a phone call telling me to come get him because they had gotten started and my puppy was nipping at the clippers and they didn't feel comfortable continuing. Which I was okay with, I was confused since he had done fine the time before but I didn't throw a fit since the groomer wasn't comfortable and the puppy could potentially be put in harms way. HOWEVER, when I went to pick up the puppy his back had been entirely shaved, and nothing else. As a fluffy puppy full of fur/hair, he looked insanely ridiculous. I was told to get him sedated if I wanted him groomed (at the time he was a 3 pound Morkie puppy). What I don't understand is why they didn't start in an area that was maybe a "test run" to make sure he was comfortable before shaving him back and leaving him to look ridiculous. I took him to another groomer shortly after and they groomed him with no problems. I was told by this groomer that it was highly likely petsmart was just trying to race through dogs that they didn't care to try and make the dogs feel comfortable. The icing on the cake was when I went to go online to the grooming services to find the groomers name, I was black listed. The site said "there are currently no availabilities for this service", so I made a new account and all of the sudden the availabilities must have just opened up.

Very tired pup after a good bath and nail trim at petsmart!

They said they should be done before 4. I told them that was fine as I could go run some errands. I came back slightly early at 345. They told me they had one more dog in front of mine. I went to run another errand in town and they called me about 20 minutes after I had left saying that it would be impossible to groom her today. This notification was 2 hours and 15 minutes past her appointment time. I asked if they could at least trim her nails, and they did get to do that much. Again, they were friendly and apologetic throughout all this time. I was expecting a discount on the nail service or have some discounted follow up offers since they took my dog in to be groomed at 2 (per the online appointment.) I left the store with only her nails trimmed 3.5 hours later at standard pricing.. I cannot comment on their grooming abilities. Just the lack of grooming that occurred today. I'm now on the hunt to find a reliable groomer with openings! *I'd recommend anyone that tries to get their dog groomed to sign up earlier in the day than I did. Maybe you can get the service you signed up for!

This year however we returned from our vacation to a bill that was more than double what it should have been due to her getting "sick" while there. She had vomiting and diarrhea for days and never has any sort of GI issues. We were never contacted to let us know there was anything out of the ordinary going on. I cook her food due to the fact that she is a heart patient and down a good many teeth so she can't eat hard food. We took everything individually labeled with date and time. Things couldn't have been any simpler had it been done correctly. It's pretty obvious that her food was mishandled, left out of the fridge or something to that extent. Her food was her happy time every day and now she shakes violently when offered the food. I made something with a different protein combo and she scarfed it down so it's not an appetite issue. As if that weren't enough her hind legs are extremely bruised. She can barely put any weight on her left one and cries if you pick her up and it has any pressure on it. It's very visible in pictures yet the doctor said he couldn't see anything without seeing her. I refuse to make her go back in the place as she is traumatized after the treatment she got the last week. If this is the best they have to offer for boarding, they should simply not offer that as a service. I say all of this simply to keep anyone else from going through the same thing we are dealing with. The last thing you expect to do is take a playful happy girl to the vet to board and getting back an injured traumatized girl. Also something caused by mishandling should never be the financial responsibility of the pet parent.
