February 25,2026 Betty-White our German Shepherd had a grooming appointment made on line with Groomer at Hattiesburg, Mississippi PetSmart. I usually schedule Betty-White with Kristen O, but I would have to call to Shedule for repeated groomer choice. Before appointment, Betty-White was good, no issues at All! Once my husband and I arrived to pick up Betty-White, the petsmart groomer reported that Betty-White had diarrhea twice in her kennel. We don't know why this happened. It NEVER happened with Kristen who Betty-White has had 3 past grooming visits. We drove home and as Betty-White got out the back of the truck camper, she cried out in pain, then she went to stretch back legs, cried out again, next, she attempted to have a bowel movement twice , NOTHING, followed by dragging her rearend across grass, She has never in her 3 years of life done that. We decided something is wrong, Betty-White is in great pain and took her the next day to a Vet clinic in Hattiesburg, MS. As I tried to get her up into back truck camper I then noticed she had did her business twice on the deck stack which I took a video of. I decided Betty-White was reluctant to get in the back of truck so I convinced her to get in the truck Cab with us for ride to Vet. She cried out as she attempted 3 times and I had to help her get in. After vet appointment, the vet stated blood in Betty-White's stool sample, But the Vet stated he wasn't sure what caused that. We went next to PetSmart spoke with (A) store manager who stated after she looked over grooming areas video feed, she stated nothing showed any Mistreatment by groomer. Hattiesburg, Mississippi PetSmart grooming/ store Refused to take any responsibility for the $579. Vet bill. We have been taking both our large dogs to petsmart for the last 3 years and no concerns prior to this. read more

Grooming is a hit or miss with this location depending on who completes the service. But this time was the last time I'd take my husky, why? Because I was told they will not longer do services for me. Yep. I was blacklisted because I called after a flea bath for my dog and requested a re-do because my dog was left with a bunch of flea dirt on her hind legs and lower back. I noticed this 2 days after the groom when I was brushing her. I called petsmart to and kindly let them know of the situation and asked for a quick re-wash of her hind legs. and so they transferred me to the manager - Stephanie - who was incredibly unpleasant to speak with. She was very passive aggressive said I should have noticed the dirt right there in the store before I took her home. I asked her why they would expect me to check in between all the fur of my 75 lb long-haired husky during pick up and she just kept saying She proceeded to say someone will call me about a refund and that they will no longer provide services. I have taken my dog to be groomed here numerous times for years. Today, I was called that my dog was ready for pick up, but they were charging me a "special handling"'fee because he nipped at the clippers while she was grooming him. When I told her that was extremely weird because he had never done that before, she said, "Maybe they just didn't say anything." I find that hard to believe that after 6 years of taking him there that "they just didn't say anything" after I picked him up each time. We won't be back! I asked how much the "special handling" fee was and she said, "just $8." So ridiculous!! When I picked him up, the groomer didn't say a word to me about him, actually she ignored me. read more

I took my puppy to get groomed in May, but I didn't want to write this review until now because of how furious I was. I requested Suzanna H, as we had been with her before and everything was fine. I booked for a puppy bath and trim, and asked to clean up my puppy's sanitary areas and his legs. I was told he would need to be shaved down because his legs had a little bit of matting and I signed saying I was okay with that. I then receive a phone call telling me to come get him because they had gotten started and my puppy was nipping at the clippers and they didn't feel comfortable continuing. Which I was okay with, I was confused since he had done fine the time before but I didn't throw a fit since the groomer wasn't comfortable and the puppy could potentially be put in harms way. HOWEVER, when I went to pick up the puppy his back had been entirely shaved, and nothing else. As a fluffy puppy full of fur/hair, he looked insanely ridiculous. I was told to get him sedated if I wanted him groomed (at the time he was a 3 pound Morkie puppy). What I don't understand is why they didn't start in an area that was maybe a "test run" to make sure he was comfortable before shaving him back and leaving him to look ridiculous. I took him to another groomer shortly after and they groomed him with no problems. I was told by this groomer that it was highly likely petsmart was just trying to race through dogs that they didn't care to try and make the dogs feel comfortable. The icing on the cake was when I went to go online to the grooming services to find the groomers name, I was black listed. The site said "there are currently no availabilities for this service", so I made a new account and all of the sudden the availabilities must have just opened up. read more

I needed a bunch of new supplies for our dog, and Jordan and Patrick were incredibly helpful in every way imaginable. They helped me choose the right sized harness for my dog as well as went over the different kinds of dog houses there are, which I would have bought if my car were big enough to transport, so I'll shop at a Petsmart closer to my house with a borrowed SUV when the time comes. They did an exceptional job with my baby. He smelled so good and nails trimmed perfectly. On took about 30 minutes and I was able to shop around while I waited for my puppy to be fixed up. They offer discounts to customers who have used their services before. It's easy to go online and book or cancel an appointment. I took my schnauzer in to be groomed. She said that he was matted, and needed to be shaved. She shaved him, and left his face fluffy. He looks ridiculous. How in the world did she think this was ok? Why not shave his ears and face and leave the mustache? I told her that he looked terrible, but I will take him somewhere else. I didn't trust her to fix it.... and I was charged $49. So disappointed. went in about 2 weeks ago for some fish, waited for my turn and then some. So my husband lets the lady know we need help with some fish. She says ok then proceeds to have a personal conversation with some guy about her family and a girl her son is either married to dating...whatever either way we left and went to Crystal Reef Aquarium. Also, the price for a bath and nail trim is very reasonable....as well as much cheaper than a place one of my friends used to take her dog. The store has always been clean, someone greets you when you enter, and I've always had a salesperson ask me if I needed help. I appreciate how they allow the local shelters to come on Saturday afternoon and display their pets, and my 3 yr old grandson is afraid of dogs, but is losing his fear by coming to pet the dos in cages. Zero stars. Shopped at Petsmart store in Hattiesburg MS today to purchase Science Diet dog food. Very few cans on shelf, so I asked why and was told they were no longer going to care this brand. Said could not come terms on cost. I could care less why and will no longer set foot in Petsmart store. I have been shopping at Petsmart for many years and this indicates to me they have no concern as to customer needs. I will pay twice the price at my vet and shop at Petco. read more

Very dissappointed! I purchased some fish yesterday for my aquarium. One of the fish ate the tails off of the other four fish. So I caught the mean one put him in a container, took the dead one minus their tails in a baggie. I took them back in to show them what had happened. I had no intention of asking for a refund or replacement. Just wanted them to see. The woman in the fish department humiliated me in front of my daughter, other customers & another employee. She talked to me like I was the biggest idiot, very loud, demeaning & showing others like I had intentionally murdered the fish. ( A guppie & 3 neons. very small.) Tried to tell me it was the water that killed them. I plainly said NO it was the big yellow one biting the others tails off that killed them! She very loudly said we cannot sell YOU any more fish. I was so upset by her attitude that I took my daughters hand and walked out. Now they are 1 fat $10. fish ahead. No she wont sell me any more because I wont be back! read more
