Always take our doodles for grooming here and they are excellent but went in today to buy some dog Collars and I noticed a clearance section. I choose two camo and one tan and apparently the tan was in the wrong place and they did not honor the price and the lady was rude about it. Not my Fault someone stocked them in the wrong place. Depressing fish section Walked over to look at the fish selection and saw clumps of dead fish in the filters, fish trying to jump out, and overall dead fish in multiple tanks. Not only is it disgusting to see but the fish suffer as well. This is probably a corporate issue but this should be changed. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! So there was only 1 person on register, this poor older lady with long gray hair. It was SO busy, 2 young people in the back. This guy came out for a second to help, then just left, I was waiting on purchasing a bird, we waited a while for the other young person to "decide" to get off her phone to help. I don't mind waiting. I just felt bad for the one cashier who had to do everything, and still was nice to everyone. We love our parakeets though! read more

Wow, I didn't know petsmart employees had to have a degree in animal science in order to work there!! I mean, at least they act like they do, hm. Imagine telling a customer they can't get an animal while there are sick and dead fish in the tank, odd. Save your money , go somewhere else:) read more

Needed a travel kennel for our dog. Found it here for $119, although it was about $30 cheaper online. I needed it the next day, so I had to get it here. As the cashier was ringing me out I mentioned it was cheaper on line. She asked to see, and when I showed her she said it was the same exact one, so she price matched it. Very cool! read more

Took my Sheepdogs to see Miss Melissa at the grooming salon last week, and as always she and her staff are friendly, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job! My dogs knew where they were going once we got to the store, and they led me to the back where the grooming salon is.....no side trips for us dad. It's well worth the 45 minute drive from Ithaca!!! read more

went to petsmart today on August 9th and my cousin wanted to buy a baby bearded dragon and they told him unless he buys a 50$ bulb for reptiles which they have other different bulbs that they wouldn't sell him the bearded dragon he has the whole setup in his tank allready ag home and they would sell him it bc he didn't buy the full setup at that ti4ggme ... I've never heard of such a thing ... why would someone wanna spend 50$ on a lizard to miss treat it in anyway which is kinda what they were making it sound like ... very bad business super unhappy with this... there should be a 0 stars button read more

I waited 2 hours for my dog only to be bathed. Her nails were not cut. Her ears were not cleaned. And she was still wet. My dog was terrified because another dog was aggressively barking at her. I was charged full price for service that was absolutely awful. I was in tears and the cashier simply said there was nothing she could do. I will never come back. Do not take sensitive/shy/anxious dogs here. read more

This store is certainly clean, and the employees very nice but their care of their tarantulas is pitiful. Cages WAY too small, WAY too wet and with sponges in water dishes that will breed molds that kill spiders. I wrote to their Corporate office, but, surprise, surprise, no one has gotten back to me! For a pet store to treat their animals so badly is an outrage. We as consumers should demand that they change their practices and learn how to properly care for delicate creatures. read more

Last week I bought a cage, other supplies and two zebra finches at this store. I had to wait for 15 minutes for a clerk to assist me. The birds seemed extremely small and the clerk remarked they were babies. The only cages were put together on a shelf and I asked about a boxed one and was told they were out. By the evening, I had noticed a gap in the cage and it didn't seem stable. The birds were extremely quiet and not active. By the next morning, I found the male bird in the cage, which had collapsed on him and killed him. The female was flying around in terror and I could not catch her no matter what I tried. (putting out seed, playing zebra finch noises, etc) We cannot find her anywhere. I have shed more tears over all of this. My husband went to talk to the manager, who was exceptionally rude to him. The manager would not take any responsibility for the death of the birds or the defective cage and in fact accused us of being responsible for what happened and not feeding the birds!!! After much discussion he refunded our money for the cage and other supplies and said if we could bring in the bird bodies he would refund us for the birds. He was extremely rude and unsympathetic and totally unsorry for the death of the birds- something I find really disheartening in the manager of a pet store. We will never patronize a PetSmart again, not that the manager seemed to care. read more
