Went in to buy food. We also usually take our dog here for grooming never had an issue before and then an employee told me if I download an app that somehow I can get a coupon because I was spending over $60 so I was like OK sure she had me repeatedly trying my email. I kept telling her it wasn't working then she switched my email kept trying to do it over and over again. My toddler was getting really upset. I was getting stressed out. She called the manager over to help the manager was like well. I guess I can take off the toy from your order no apology no sorry that's quite a hassle or anything. Probably the worst PetSmart I've ever been to in Washington state will not go back and will also be calling corporate today. During the time of me stressfully sitting there trying to do all of this my toddler broke off something in the stroller because she was melting down adding to the stress. So I got a free dog toy and instead have to buy a $30 snack tray now for my stroller all because I didn't just check out and go to my car. Do not download their app and do not shop here if you're a mom. We were a frequent grooming and food customer. But my sanity is not worth shopping somewhere with a rude manager and stressful environment. read more

Follow up to my review I have added a photo. I paid to have my pup have a shampoo and cut. As I mentioned the groomer did not bathe and only did a partial cut. In the photo you can see the head did not get touched nor the tail. As a foot, I have taken my dog to Petsmart many times and have never had an issue such as this. read more

$89 after tip, specifically said, "do not skin him" such a weird request right, unfortunately the last 2 groomers did skin him, so apparently you need to specify but even that didn't work. I said he usually takes 3 hours, she assured me she could do it in 1 1/2 hours or 2...I said really take all the time you need. His whole underside is skinned, no trimming on the long hair around his parts, skinned patches EVERYWHERE, crooked face, specifically said no fluffy mustache, close shave, of course it was a fluffy crooked mustache. There was a huge patch of long hair hanging down on his butt plain as day!! When I got home and looked at him because of course when you pick up your baby their excited and wanting to get out as quick as possible so looking them over especially for my dog who has bad anxiety isn't possible. First thing I cut the huge chunk of hair hanging down, tried to fix his face cut the huge tuft of long hair hanging off his chest , just sick of it. I spend so much money and place after place either doesn't take the time or cuts him without telling me, I don't get it just so disappointed. read more

My husband and I went in tonight to get a pick up. We were going to get our daughter some Black Moors and a plecostomus. Jeremy came and asked if we needed help. We told him what we wanted to buy. He asked what size tank we had. We told him about our pick up and everything we ha were going to get. He advised us on it being too small. He guided us step by step in the proper size tank, the correct set up we needed as well as additional information on taking care of the fish. We thoroughly appreciate the time he took to ensure we had everything we needed! He advised us to wait until the tank was properly set up before adding fish. Jeremy was beyond helpful, knowledgeable and understood everything about what he was selling to us! We will be back Saturday with our daughter to get her fish! I've dealt with some unhelpful employees at this store before. Today I encountered possibly the rudest employee. I had been waiting for a good 7-8 minutes to checkout. No cashier in sight. Finally this female (black curly hair) employee walks by. I said, excuse me! I have been waiting here to checkout for a while. Is it possible you can call someone please. I am disgusted with the treatment of PetSmarts fish. We have spent HUNDREDS of dollars on our aquarium at this PetSmart. We went into to buy a fish and while browsing noticed that tank 83 was INFESTED with Ick. If we didn't educate ourselves we would be dealing with a very sick fish and putting our entire aquarium at risk. PetSmart has ONE massive filtration system ALL tanks are now INFESTED with Ick... DO NOT BUY THEIR FISH. The treatment of their fish has me questioning their treatment of ALL their animals. I cannot believe management is allowing their employees to sell their fish. Took my golden retriever for bath and nail trim appointment I signed up for online. Was told once I got there they had policy against baths for dogs with mats (she had some on bum/under tail) and rescheduled me with groomer for the next day, because apparently there are bathers and groomers and only groomers can shave off mats. I brought her back the next day and agreed to pay higher fee. When I got her back, she looked nothing like the first time I had her groomed there a year ago. Last time her fur was silky, long, and flowing like a golden should be. This time they trimmed the whole underside. Wavy ears, feathered legs, butchered. Two days later noticed a trail of blood and her licking an abscess on her back leg. Not happy. Not going back. read more

I agree with the previous reviewer that PetSmart is soo much better than Petco. You see, I used to go to PetSmart for grooming, but then I heard from a friend that Petco does grooming for much cheaper. At first, I was satisfied with Petco, but then I began to see the light. This is one of those instances where you get what you pay for. At PetSmart, I feel like the groomers love to see my dog. They greet her with open arms and make her feel comfortable before I leave. They also take their time and do a good, thorough job. I never find stray hairs that haven't been trimmed. They will bleach her tear stains, trim her nails, clean out her anal glands, brush her teeth, and make sure 99% of the loose hair is off of her (among other things) before she goes home. Her cut never looks out of porportion or cheap; it is well tapered and looks classy. Let's not forget to mention that my dog doesn't smell like a dog for at least a week after her grooming. After a Petco grooming, she would smell like cheap perfrume mixed with dog for a day and then just a dog after that perfume wore off. When my dog leaves this place after a grooming, she feels great. She acts all proud of herself because she knows she looks hot. And, let me tell you, I love to see that. When I bring my dog in here to shop, the employees recognize her and call her by name. How is that for caring? The only down side might be that they can be pretty busy on the weekends. Oh well though. I will NEVER be taking my dog to Petco again! It's well worth an extra $20 to make sure my dog is properly cared for by kind employees who are qualified to be doing their job. read more

If I could give this location zero stars I absolutely would! We are new to the area and are not used to living as far out as we do that being said we were running a little behind. I tried calling to notify them because it's the right thing to do, I called 3 times with no answer. At 15 minutes after his arrival time had past I received a rude call quoting that their policy was to cancel his appointment we were literally in the parking lot and I explained I had called 3 times. My dog is excited because it's a new place and the groomer did the thing you never do when first meeting a new dog, she looked him straight in the eye and he lunged at her at that point we were told we are never welcome back! We have been having him groomed at PetSmart for 5 years in various locations we have lived and have never once had an issue. This experience was definitely unacceptable. read more

Found the items I was looking for ... and as I approached the same cashier ... I paused because I wanted to make sure I had everything before I got in line. Over the past two years I have been very picky on locating a groomer that has the skill set required to handle such an interesting breed. I found an excellent groomer in Walla Walla, but I was not willing to drive an hour each way to get Julian (standard poodle) groomed every 5 weeks. It was first with reluctance that I selected PetSmart, just based on all the horror stories you hear. Other places were overpriced. Since we have been using PetSmart, we have been forced to switch groomers. The original groomer was inconsistent. Big shout-out to two employees though. the first is Dallon, the salon manager who has communicated everytime with me in regards to scheduling issues. The second though is the patient person who is willing to work with Julian and his eccentricities. Shay has not only been very patient, she has brought the skill and the knowledge we have been searching for. Her experience with doodles shines bright in how well she listened to our grooming desires and translated them into a quality cut that I am more than happy to pay for! Shay is the only groomer that shall ever be permitted to groom Julian. Shay took the time to get to know him, before she even started his grooming. She took her time, the results speak volumes as to her skill set. I will continue to utilize Shay's services even if she leaves PetSmart. read more

It's a very nice place, I have nothing negative to say other than the check out times are too slow. There is nothing worse than standing in line for twenty minutes when there is only ONE individual in front of you. It's not even the cashiers fault, Petsmart has just elongated their check outs by asking a few other questions "Please enter pet perks" or "would you like to donate today" for some reason, those two questions add an eternity to every check out for the average American shopper. I heard Paws Natural Pet Emporium is a good place to get dog food, and there I shall go! Lest they start guilt tripping me to donating more $$$! read more

I recently bought the octogan Glofish tank and 4 new Glofish. I have had 1 Glofish for over a year and added it to the new tank with new fish. I've had this set up for currently a week and the filter that came in the set has killed all my Glofish as well as a Cory catfish that I got. The tank is an 8 gallon and the filter it came with was for a 10 to 20 gallon tank. The filter was so strong it kept sucking my fish against it and they couldn't get away. I called Petsmart and they told me to bring in the filter. They not only exchanged my filter for a smaller one, but replaced ALL of my Glofish! Even the one I had for over a year that got killed by the new filter. I was very pleased how they handled this for me because I felt like I wasted a lot of money and I didn't even think they would do what they did. I shop here all the time and am very pleased! I do really like Petsmart, it's where I get pretty much everything for my cat and there is a great variety of supplies. The store always seems clean and organized. The only thing that bothers me is that I rarely see anyone out on the sales floor to help people (except this annoying lady that is always there representing a different kind of food and is always bothering you to try out the food she is trying to sell on that day, she seems to be there most times I go in, it's like c'mon I'm not going to keep switching my cats food everytime) Anyway most of the time the cashiers are nice, especially the other day the girl was very nice and complimented me. I did have a male employee once ask me if I needed help and I said that I was just buying some new food dishes and he then said "oh are they for your dog or for you?". UM even if he was joking it wasn't funny, just rude. I'm not a damn dog so that pissed me off but overall I don't have too many problems. read more
