Upon entering I was asked to fill out a card about any allergies or skin issues and basic questions. The waiting area was very clean and the staff was welcoming, it felt like I was leaving Coco with family. I dropped him off and picked him up about 1 1/2 hours later. He looked like a new dog when I picked him up! He was so happy!

They take too many appointments, and these days it can take them up to 1.45 hr to groom a small dog. Today, I went in at 1:45 and saw many, many dogs coming out until 3:30pm., when I left with my little dog. For the first time, I did not feel like tipping, and was relieved to leave. Soon after, the owner who did not appreciate that gesture, called and told me that if I was not happy, I didn't have to go back. I thank him for that splendid idea. No more accommodating them and being taken for granted forever. Clients come first and are always right.

Yesterday the friend with the case came in and Blackie immediately ran and hid. After 12 hours she came out, but when I got up to go to the appointment she was hiding (and still is) again. The receptionists AT VCA Lake Wales are SO nice and really work with me with suggestions and easy, helpful rescheduling. My landlord takes his pets here too and highly recommended them!

BROKEN LEG! It is…read moreunfortunate that I am having to even post this. Grooming deals has not only broken my dog's leg but has cost and will continue to cost us thousands of dollars in vet bills due to the break being so bad that she may have to have amputation if her surgery doesn't take. When this was addressed with the owner and the groomer that did this, they not only acted unapologetic but they also charged my mother for the service. They only refunded the money after we called back and demanded a refund. When we told them we will be taking legal action, Angie's (owner) response was to ask my mother if she could go to a cheaper vet and that "hopefully her insurance will be able to cover this". We took piper to an Emergency ER vet, as anyone would do whose dog's leg was just freshly broken. This is what she and her staff think of our pets. They are money to them and do not care about the safety and wellbeing of the dogs. Three other people that we spoke with today about the incident (two family friends and and family member) also had similar experiences with this establishment. Photos below.
