I ordered twice online in 1 day to be able to skip the line and walk in and pick up my order. A employee (who's name and pic I have saved in my phone) was standing in the doorway when I walked in the first time, at 1pm seeming to do nothing, not even welcoming customers into the store. I indicated that I was there to pick up my online order and she told me to get in line and wait my turn, I showed her in the app where it states to grab an employee to help get the order in order to skip the line. She said, wait in line like everyone else, and when you get to the front, the cashier will get the order from the cabinets behind her. 20 minutes later, after waiting in line, indeed the cashier did grab my order out of the cabinet behind her. Later at around 5 pm I returned to petco to supposedly skip the line and pick up my second order, surprisingly, same employee was still standing in the doorway, still seeming to do nothing , but now a new employee was standing with her, only he didn't want to help either, other than to tell me to wait in line like everyone else. So moral of this story is I've learned Chewy is cost comparative, you really do get to skip the line, and they usually have your order to you the next day;) read more

This PetCo is super clean and well managed. I brought my furbaby Gizmo for a bath and groom with Danilka and she did an excellent job. She provide great care and met all of our specific requests. Inside the store Ben one of the managers provided excellent customer service in helping me find an excellent dog food. He explained the difference between some of the brands I was interested in and gave me his honest opinion and didn't sell me the more expensive brand. He showed true care for animals and I was impressed. read more

All because we were honest and told them up front that she is no problem till they get to her head and even though we give her a sedative it takes time to do her head. My little dog has been getting groomed here for the last 12-13 years. Bonnie has always done a wonderful job with her and is like family. When our dog began having medical issues due to age Bonnie made sure to accommodate her and keep up with her needs. She is truly a blessing to us! While our dog gets groomed we busy ourselves with browsing the store, getting lunch at Panera or FireHouse Subs, walking over to Target to shop. read more

I made appointment for my 4 month old puppy for grooming on Jan 15th 2024 1pm the groomer was MS BECKY and her coworker not sure the young lady name was on duty that day also a groomer..I drop my puppy off thinking he was in a safe place in good hands so l left the young lady groomer told me my puppy will be ready for pickup at 4:30 pm that day and that they will reach out to me.. they called me 1 hour earlier which was 3pm so I ask how did my puppy do and they reply telling me that they couldn't give my puppy a hair cut as I requested I asked why and there words was that my puppy I was Anxious so they couldn't I was a bit sad disappointed but completely understood since it wouldn't be safe if they did proceed so I said I'll bring when he's ready...also Ms BECKY charged me services I didn't request I Pacifically took my puppy for a haircut instead they bathed him blow dryed him without even asking me and charged me these services that's beyond the point... when I brought my puppy home I notice Severe burns or cuts on his belly I have all pictures to prove this these lady's are disgusting how can you work at a petco when it's dealing with pets and you are abusing them not sure what's going on but will be contacting my lawyers and cooperate.. please I beg all Society to please do not bring your pet here I will never return honestly this is one of the worst pain I have ever experience my heart breaks for my pup I can't imagine the fear and pain he went through not sure how they burn him could have been the heat from blower on high or they intentionally burn him cut him from shaver idk but I will get to the bottom of this also MS Becky stated my pup didn't like the blower so I wonder if maybe she got impatient or they accidentally cut my pup either way I should have been inform!!! I had my dog groomed July 27th by Emily. I had a 12:00 app't - had her there on time and finally called at 2:30 to see if she was done. (I had been told previously 2 hrs at the most) She couldn't been picked up for another 20 - 30 minutes. I was charged $53.00 which is ok - but her area between the eyes was red and slightly bloody and she was limping - favoring her left leg. I took her to the vet on the 30th - she was cut from clippers and had somehow injured her leg. Her anal glands were only partially done. Terrible customer service by Emily and her boss Bonnie. I would give the grooming service a negative 10 if I could. My normally happy, eager to meet new people, one year old schnauzer is terrified of new people since her visit and pitiful grooming at petco on 98 north in Lakeland. The "senior groomer" was recommended by a neighbor. My neighbors baby is a different breed, though both mine and hers are small babies. My baby will not approach anyone now, she used to love children and adults, but now runs behind me and is obviously terrified whenever I approach anyone she doesn't spend a LOT OF TIME WITH. Totally different from the happy little schnauzer I took in that morning for her appointment. It's been over 6 weeks since that appointment and I'm still not able to calm her down around strangers. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT STORE, for any reason!!! read more

I wouldn't recommend working for a lady who will disrespect and try to hold you back from following a career. Someone who will talk down to the very wrong people. The employees are extremely friendly. Sometimes the prices are a bit high. I found bedding for my pet much cheaper on amazon. However when it comes to pet food the price is pretty comparable to online. I wish this store had more sales in the bird department. The reward point system is not my favorite since they expire after so many days. Usually I can't make it to 100 points in time to ever redeem them. Very disappointing first and last visit. This is a huge store with lots of marketable pet products. The aisles weren't labeled so meandered for some time before finding cat merchandise. Pets are allowed in with their owners and 3 large dogs (2 owners) strolled aisles waiting for a turn with a groomer who sets up shop near the entrance (very annoying to non-dog lovers to have big dogs blocking space, approaching, etc). Near the back you can hear birds and see ferrets in cages. There was absolutely NO floor help for this new pet owner, but a gaggle of employees hovering around the groomer. One woman went to get someone knowledgeable in cats and never returned. Cat and kitten merchandise is not divided so lots of fine print reading was required and still didn't answer all my questions on proper foods or best litter. They have all the name brand grain-free foods but very little for kittens. The line was long at the register since only that clerk was actually working. I walked out empty-handed and spent $100 in Walmart with the help of customers in the aisles. read more

Lucas is a rescue that was quite timid. He wears a thunder shirt often. It didn't take long for him to get comfortable with the groomers. They're patient & gentle with him. They have a special routine that helps him to know what to expect & he's made such progress. They're informative & helpful. read more

If you are looking for Bird supplies... the selection is so poor. The customer service(if you get any) is poor. On a posotive point. They have a very large dog section. I was kinda shocked, normally Petco's service and selection are among the best. read more

We tried both petco and petsmart. My preference is petco. Salesperson was helpful. Got us a puppy crate online for less than store price. Gave us a coupon booklet FREE to use right away. Petsmart you have to BUY the coupon booklet. Petco salesperson also knowledgeable about food, harness, leashes, etc. read more

Today I went to return something and I had the wrong receipt no big deal. My mother and sick grandmother were in the store. Though I couldn't go through with the return I continued to shop. I was going to get a leash and I changed my mind. Pet Co staff (5 or more) proceeded to follow and harass my mother and grandmother. They were asking them where I went. THEY THOUGHT I STOLE THE LEASH AND WE'RE HARPING ON MY MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER. I am active duty military on leave and I have never been so offended by the way they treated my family. And all I did was set the leash down and the just questioned my mother and grandmother saying " where did the girl go that was with u? Where r the leashes? How rude I'm sorry I ever bought anything there. read more

While the selection is quite good, the prices are horrible. There is a small local pet shop near my house that is a LOT less expensive than Petco. I usually shop at Pet Supermarket because they have what I need at a much better price. I know that Petco will match prices but I don't want to do the shopping for them. Definitely everything you need for your dog...okay selection for cats. Not too bad in the fish department either. The best part is the SPCA has adoptable kitties here, and we found our newest family member here and LOVE her! We like to come here to see the kitties they have up for adoption and look at the cat toys. Pricing isn't bad, and having the rewards card is worth-while as long as you plan to shop here somewhat regularly. read more
