My daughter and I went into the store yesterday to get her picture with her cat with Santa. And the staff here were so sweet and helpful. I kept apologizing because our cat was so scared and stressed and they even allowed us to go in a room to be able to get her away from the other animals there to calm her and put her back into her cage. Keep an eye out for sneaky, incorrectly marked advertising of items; the clearly marked buy 3 and get the 4th item free items also include the cheap unmarked clearance ones at the end. I asked the manager about it and he gaslit me saying that it actually includes all toys, so be prepared for false advertising. read more

We went to petsmart to see pets. This place doesn't have a good selection of pets. They've got a small selection of fish, a few hamsters, about 5 birds and 5 shelter cats, 3 were already claimed. My local non-franchise business has a lot more pets to choose from and just as much items. This was so disappointing. If you need bettas this has a great selection, that's about it. read more

The before/after photo doesn't do justice to the horrific grooming experience I had with Misty at the Lakeland location. I informed her that my dog did have matting in his fur, particularly his hind legs, and I knew he would have to be cut short for that reason. He had been groomed here before, and cut fairly short.. never shaved. Never left bareback with ridiculous jagged fur in the back of his head. This poor guy will take MONTHS to grow out.. this shave wasn't warranted, it was laziness and if I could give zero stars, I would. Maybe some of the other groomers there are better? But I wouldn't recommend the "manager" Misty at all. If they are going to drastically shave your animal, I think a phone call beforehand is the least they can do so you're not in shock upon arrival. read more

Prescription food $ Harmony crab supplies never in stock Sad bettas There's not a lot to say about this PetSmart that's much different than any other PetSmart. We have a standing prescription here for our cat's prescription diet. It's nice that they've got an in house clinic where they keep the prescription in file. They issue a prescription card to show at the registers for easy check out, so that's handy. And if I ever lose it, they'll just replace it at the clinic desk. The prescription food prices are a bit high, but it is what it is. It's cheaper here than through the vet (which is who recommended I check out PetSmart) but these foods just cost a bit more. We also have small pets (hermit crabs) and check their supply of toys that can be used for them. Unfortunately, they're always out of stock. Always. And they've still got those sad looking bettas in cups. The staff are usually pretty nice and helpful. And I appreciate that they display the homeless cats from the local shelters. Grooming is available, too, if that's something you need; although I can't say anything about it as I've never had a need for it. So, it's a PetSmart. They don't seem to restock some of the items very often, but I appreciate that they've made purchasing prescription diets fairly simple. read more

Our family had a great experience at Petsmart today! Hunter spent over 15 minutes with us explaining the intricate details of transitioning our 2.5 gallon fish tank to a 5 gallon aquarium. We had so many questions for him and he was not only patient with us while explaining the details but was also very knowledgeable and informative about the fish tank world. He guided us to the proper supplies and gave excellent recommendations when asked. We will definitely be back for our supply needs for our Yorkie and our 4 fish! This place sucks ! I scheduled an appt for my puppy online, received a call the same day to tell that day and time wasn't available. Fine no problem. Received a call the next day to change the appt yet again okay. Today I was called around 11:30 am to change the appt a third time ! They told me that my "groomer" for the next morning wld be out sick. Interesting. Asked if I could bring my dog today. I left my office earlier than planned (2 hours early) to go get my dog had to make different arrangements for my daughter to be picked up to make it to this new appointment. Arrived to be told they couldn't take my dog bc he needs a hair cut and I scheduled a bath only which was a lie! Lazy pieces of crap work at this place. No to mention the front desk guy looks like he could use a few baths. A complete waste of time. Terrible service. read more

The staff here is absolutely terrible. I worked in retail so I have a lot of patience for retail staff and the people here are terrible. I brought my dog to the groomers here (that was my first mistake - see attached pictures). They kept her for SIX hours and I picked her up and she was half shaved. She was acting very weird, would not eat, drink, or play. When we got home she laid in her bed and cried. We called our vet and took her in for an emergency apt. They had nicked her several times, and blood was oozing from her bum. My husband called petsmart to -at the least- ask what happened so we could tell our vet and help our baby. The staff could not have cared less! They were so rude! After talking to multiple people the manager finally said "well after speaking with the groomers we've decided we'll refund you youre Money. Didn't get a single sorry, or empathy. When we went to get our refund Emily was who my husband spoke with, and she was SO RUDE AGAIN!!! Y'all my dog is like my baby and these people do not care whatsoever about animals. While I was in line waiting to get my refund a manager there stormed out of her office and mumbled "I fu**ing hate the sound of those dogs barking". If you care about your little fur babies I highly suggest not bringing them anywhere near here. read more

Poor quality Bettas and live aquarium plants, whoever supplies them is doing a terrible job. Hopefully, they straighten things out.

I actually love the actual store, the staff is amazing... My issue was with the groomers. First I came in and they said great and scheduled me an appt. But then, because he had vaccines the day before in grooming day they said my dog cannot get groomed... Then they said they had to reschedule so I did then they call me and tell me to bring him back on a Sunday, so I did, I rushed over there. Then they try and tell me that my 11.7 pound mini schnauzer is now considered a standard. They said standard start at 15 pounds. I said but my schnauzer is not 15 pounds so he should be a miniature and she said no he is large and that makes him a standard. Never mind he has AKC papers that say he is a miniature. She said they now are going to charge me more money for less service. I told her I thought he might have a little bit of anxiety and she said well then we'll just do a shampoo and face trim. I was quoted $50 for a full room but since she decided to make him a standard schnauzer now it was going to be $60 for a wash and face trim! She made every excuse possible to not take care of my dog and or charge me more! The first lady I spoke to was so nice but this lady was horrible. She just kept making more and more excuses and charging me more and more money. I finally told her I didn't think this would work and took my dog home. I was able to wash him and give him a face trim for free!! Trying a different groomer and now I'm not sure I even want to go back to this store. read more

Don't waste your time here. Customer service sucks. Product we saw online was in their store...the model number and UPC codes matched the online product but because their store inventory said zero they couldn't sell us the product. No one bothered to rescan the item or try to adjust inventory. Well, they are out the $125 we would've paid for the product as well as ALL our future business. By the way, this is the SECOND time this has happened. My family is done with Petsmart! read more

I am not a regular Petsmart shopper therefore I am not aware of the stores day by day way of doing business. I recently added a bloodhound puppy to the family. The puppies previous owner gave me a supply of food with the pup so that I could use it to wean him off it if I chose. The food is the Authority brand from Petsmart. Once we ran out of the provided food we went 100% with the replacement brand. With this the puppy started to have loose stools and became uninterested in eating. In an attempt to get him eating again I went to Petsmart to get a bag of the original food. It happened to be a stormy afternoon and the power was out on that side of town. After a hectic trip to the store I was turned away by one of the stores employees due to the power outage even though I explained my issue. I even asked the store associate if the puppy was supposed to go hungry and she answered with a simple "yes". I left store with anger at this point. I would have asked for the manager had I thought of it at the moment. I would expect this of a Wal-mart but not a pet store. read more
