I wish the people at petsmart that are in charge of these animals were a little friendlier. I went down today and asked if I could hold one of the kittens and I was told "if you're not serious about adopting no" and the door to the cat area closed. I wasn't asked if I was serious about adoption. Just blown off. My children and I left. The same with the dog adoption... you walk up and no one says a word to you... a bunch of people are hanging out talking and ignoring the people that may adopt. Being friendly with potential forever homes should be important. My family is looking at adopting a dog and a cat but we will go elsewhere to find them. I brought my little dog there to be groomed for the first time and when I got there with my 5lb dog I explained that she had never been groomed and that she was a little feisty. The groomer said well we might not give her a "full" grooming for the first time, just while she gets used to it. I said well no I want her completely groomed, that's the point. , I wanted to see what she would look like groomed. In any case, they took my dog and within an hour had called me back telling me to come get her that she was pulling her leash so hard that her tongue was purple, etc... When I got there to pick her up they told me I needed to socialize my dog.. blah blah blah. I just had my dog groomed today @ Bark n Biscuit Salon and they said she was a perfect angel. I got exactly what I asked for with NO HASSLE. These people at petsmart, while they wanna preach that they care about the dogs so much obviously DONT!!! Dogs vibe people's energy and it obviously came out. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR GROOMING EVER!!!!! read more

I like the fact that I can usually get everything I need for my dog here. However, the grooming experience has been so-so for me. One time they forgot to clean my dog's ear, but then when I called the lady took care of it right away. Most recently my dog got an ear infection after going to the groomer there. I'm not looking for a new pet groomer because I don't trust this place anymore. This is a good place to go to get things you need like food, supplies, etc...but not to get your dog groomed. read more

I was told that we needed to have a rabies shot, which I had never been asked before since bringing my dog the last five times in to have her nails done. So I got her shots current, I went in and now we have to wait. So I did get a little upset, I don't know why they don't have signs up so I have to be told they cannot do her nails. I will not come back here again. read more

Took my puppy bear to the grooming and bought a package to get Bathed Shaved Nails trimmed And a stencil Most of the service was great but I ask for them to shave with no hair at all! Only his tail end and his head not to be shaved and I went to pick him up and he looked exactly the same as when I dropped him off the only noticeable difference were his legs and underneath him but his back had lots of hair. So I called and asked they said it sounds like he needs a touch-up and if I could bring him back the next day. I brought him back they apologized and I went on my way. About 10 minutes later they called me and said that that was the shortest think they could go and so they said they tried over and over but it would not get the rest of his hair. I completely understand if they cannot go shorter but they should have told me when I brought him back not make me leave and come back 10 minutes later. All the other than that everything else was good Nails trimmed were fine the bath was fine just the hair problem. I got no refund for the shaving which I thought since they never shaved him I would get that back and the only thing they did was say sorry. read more

First timer at PetSmart and honestly I'm highly unsatisfied I had bought an all in one reptile light and the wattage was definitely too high for my iguana it burnt his skin, the light was recommended by an associate that said he WAS an iguana owner. So I took the bulb back and they returned my money so I bought another one with a less wattage and the bulb doesn't work at all. I recommended Petco for pet supplies. read more

I took my mother-in-law's two little dogs in to get groomed and everything went perfectly! I scheduled the appointment, they were ready for me, the staff were all so nice to the dogs, they gave recommendations for the grooming, and the dogs came out looking great! And they were clearly happy! I very highly recommend Michelle because she was the nicest lady ever! read more

Updated: The below was a year ago. Opted to go in again as it's close to my house and different groomers. My dog is a chihuahua-mix who shakes over everything. They told me that "due to policy" they can't groom her because "she's severely distraught." I said she's a chi-mix, they all shake when showing any emotion at all. The woman said no, they won't touch her. I said fine and started walking out. As I hit the door she says to her coworker "We're now free for 30 minutes, want me to get you Starbucks too?" NEVER going back. They are a joke. This is my 3rd time going. After a three hour wait I headed in and watched from a distance. I was blown away by how well behaved my dog was. People were watching through the window and commenting that she was well behaved. I even texted my husband that I was shocked at how she stood there getting a hair cut with no issues. After about 30 more minutes I get a call she's done so I walk in to the grooming area. The groomer tells me my dog was horrible, non-cooperative, tried biting, and she almost couldn't groom her because of it. Went on and on about how hard it was. I finally asked if it was the bath, dry, or cut that she acted like that and the woman said all of it. I let her know that I had been watching for the past half hour and saw my dog NOT doing those things. She had no real response. I felt like she was just trying to get a tip/better tip. Won't see that person again. Ever. read more

The store itself is well up kept, and shopping there is usually a pleasant experience. However, the current manager is not so pleasant. I would suggest hiring a manager who is 'friendly' and actually shows courtesy to customers. Unfortunately, I had the experience of not being treated well by her. Worst place EVER for pet grooming. Took my dog there several times over a four year period and each time he was more and more hesitant until the last time in Apr 2013. The groomer told me she wouldn't do my dog anymore because I was chatting with another customer about a competitor in town. My dog was traumatized after I left him there, they take four hours to groom a 7 lb teacup poodle. Now if anyone even says Petsmart around my dog he cowers, tucks his tail and wants to hide. Worst place ever, they are mean to the dogs there and won't even let you see the kennels where they wait for services probably because it is filthy. Hate this store. I should've wrote this review a long time ago! But never got the chance to. My puppy's 1st haircut was here and he came out looking amazing! I bring my dog to all different kinds of places bc we move so much but I always wish I could come back here because it's the only place that didn't injure him! I knocked off one star bc I took my dog to get groomed here and idiotically said ok to let him get groomed by a new groomer. I was in a rush! Anyways the manager was nice enough to have him come back so they could fix it. I've taken my large labradoodle there now four times. The first time they didn't groom him the way I wanted. The second time I took him, the girl who took him was extremely nice, gave him the Mohawk I wanted and had nothing but good things to say about him. The 3rd time? They NEVER called me back to pick him up until I called them. They claimed they had called and left a message. They NEVER did. Today, the fourth time, this Wendi said she trimmed him the 3rd time and had lots of problems with him. Bear threw a fit when she went to lead him away. I called them 3 hours later....she STILL isn't done with him. I got called 4 hours after I dropped him off. While I was waiting for them to bring him to me, I witnessed a groomer being physical and gruff while trimming a poodle. When I inspected him, I saw his legs and feet were not trimmed very well. I questioned about that. She again complained about him. I said to her i expected him to be groomed. She basically complained some more. I spoke to the manager, asked him what he thought of the grooming. He mentioned YES it looks like he needs trimmed up more. He suggested more time. I said yeah right. I'll just take him elsewhere. If they can't trim a dog up right in 4 hours, they need a new line of work. I do believe a woman by the name of Meghan did an outstanding job on him before. I've brought my cat here before with no problem, even got the shots Petsmart asked for before they would bathe him. But this time after two hours, they called me to pick him up, because he "wasn't cooperating". Out of trimming, nails & ears, etc. IT WAS THE BATH he needed the most and didn't get. **When I arrived, I had to pay the ENTIRE PRICE, even though the bath he didn't get was the most pricey - even after talking to the manager! (I can't remember the argument the manager gave for not deducting the cost of the bath or giving me any kind of discount for unfinished services) Instead she wrote a lousy "10% off on my next visit" on my receipt. I have never taken my three cats back there again because of this unprofessional, uncaring, UNFAIR handling of the bill by the manager who is the one we are supposed to see to get satisfaction. They should have let another groomer handle him and get the job done! read more
