Dawn is absolutely amazing! I have a very timid dog (a chihuahua named Trixie) and Dawn has helped her make so many breakthroughs. As long as you listen to her directions and practice what she teaches you between sessions, you will see the improvements in your dog's behavior. You can teach a old dog new tricks. I have two dogs. A 8 year old male boxer and a 2 year old yellow lab mix. I wouldn't have categorized my dogs as horribly behaved before training but they each have their own special quirks they needed to get past. Cash (the boxer) was a jumper and a licker, pulled horribly on a leash. Lilly (the lab) is fearful of everything and had no manners when it came to food. Dawn within no time at all gave me the tools to help my dogs become better and at more ease with life. Cash now is a dream on a leash and Lilly is really coming out of her shell. They both wait for their food to be dished out for meal time now and will not rush the door when someone is coming or going. Guests are not met with jumps or too many kisses. I chose this trainer based of the yelp ratings and initial meet and greet. I do believe Dawn does have a lot of experience and knowledge. However, I had multiple appoints canceled and rescheduled. Almost all of them about 30 minutes prior to the appointment. I found this extremely unprofessional especially since I rearranged my work schedule to make sure I had time for these set appointments. If it had only been one, I would not have been so harsh on the rating but it got to the point were I just said forget it to the rest of the pre-paid appointments.
