This review is based off of my, and my pups, experience with Grooming. I am a PetSmart regular at home in Nashville, and our dog gets a bath, trim, etc...on the regular. Recently I was in Newnan for multiple weeks and decided to get him taken care of at this location. Wrong move, I should have just waited until we got back to Nashville. I ordered to have my dog bathed, ears cleaned, booty pressed, teeth brushed and nails trimmed. I had an appointment and showed up on time, I walked in as someone else, who was a walk in. They quoted him 2 - 3 hours since he did not have an appointment. Weirdly, even with my appointment I was pushing 3 hours before my dog was ready. If the timeliness was the only issue, I would not have been concerned, but when I showed up to get him, I could see his nails were still quite long. I pointed this out and they called the groomer, who had already left for the day. She stated that she needed to grind his nails instead of clips due to the color and she recommends I make anther appointment. Would have been nice to simply call, share your findings and then complete during the initial appointment. But, after also finding that my dogs ears were still filthy and his teether were haphazardly "brushed" I came to realize this Groomer was not about going above, or really even doing the bare minimum. Overall, I have shopped at this store from time to time and the service seems similar in all areas sadly. While I may pop in to the store on occasion, I will never utilize their grooming services again. read more

The store is clean and organized, however their inventory can be limited at times depending on what product you're looking for. As for grooming, the clerk was not too friendly upon check-in. Specific instructions were given prior to my sons dog bath & brush, however we received a call stating some services weren't completed due to dog nervousness and being snappy. This is why we gave specific instructions to eliminate this from happening. After picking up our furry love one, she seemed to be happy and clean. I have never seen a pet store so disorganized and staff that knows nothing about the products or animals they sale, never fails every time I go to look at fish they have alot of dead fish in all the tanks like really this is what you want the customers to see when they come into your store. Then the store is dirty, bathrooms are nasty it's like they don't know how to clean up anything. Will take my business elsewhere when it comes to shopping for pets read more

It is my personal opinion to AVOID the grooming! Horrible treatment of my dog and me!!

Booked an appointment online today. Showed up for the appointment and they said their system has been having problems and we do not have an appointment in fact. Come back tomorrow. Explain me we drove 45 mins and also booked outing with the kids in conjunction with grooming appointment. No consideration at accommodating. I now see why they have a 2 star rating. read more

Took my dog for grooming. It took them 5 and half hours and returned him with a bad hair cut, bald spots, also like he wasn't showered at all. He smelled bad too. Charged us 135+ $. Don't recommend it at all read more

First time for grooming the dogs looked great. The groomer talked to our nervous dog and the groomer who was looking after our other baby was very friendly and professional. read more

My little Pug's favorite place to go! They do a wonderful job on Pug and get his nails much shorter than they can at the Vets. Their prices are reasonable and their staff are true animal lovers. I always like to bring him and see him get so excited! read more

I just called this store and I was laughed at for asking if they had society finches or diamond doves in stock which is a bird the website says that specific store carries. The person hung up after laughing. Do not recommend! read more

Very disappointed. Uneven haircut and over priced. The people were very kind when I dropped him off and extremely rude and demeaning when I picked him up (because I thought they forgot his leash and collar- they didn't but their tone was still rude). read more

I give one star because it doesn't let me do 0. Worst experience ever. Being a customer of PetSmart for years this one Newnan, GA has the worst customer service starting by the "leader" that she is called manager. I bought a fish on Saturday it passed away yesterday I came today to exchange it or for a refund. She states that it was NG on returning the fish that was stated on my receipt which she took the receipt to her office and put NG handwriting thinking I wouldn't notice. She said you didn't put guarantee even if they have 14 days return policy we can't do nothing. I was like no body offer me a guarantee she said people always say they don't want it. My answer was you can't assume for customer. And you weren't even that day. She went back and forward with me that's not professional. Before all this she send the employee to us like 3 times instead of her coming out. At least in the store they lost a customer. read more

Well MY FUR BABY has been getting beautiful at the dog salon for over three years. They are friendly, kind and don't mind if you watch (COVID) so through window! I have no complaints and neither does Ernie! read more

WARNING: DO. NOT. Do not take your beloved fur babies to this horrible salon. Took my 10 yr old Pomeranian (Chance) for a bath and grooming. He loves to play outside with the big dogs so he was also a little matted. I made the mistake of returning to the salon, specifically scheduling with one girl because she had done a great job the time before, matts and all. When I got there, they told me she had just left for lunch, so I figured she would take over once she got back from her break....didn't happen. I came back to get Chance 3 hours later at the scheduled time and they told me it'd be another 45 minutes. (Ended up being 4.5 hours!) Then I saw him through the glass and the random groomer had shaven him down completely. I could see his age spots and pink skin. At this point I was livid and ready to get him out of there. It wasn't until I got home I noticed TWO major bloody lacerations under his neck; either from the clippers or him straining trying to get out of the harness. I cried. It's been a week and I've noticed Chance has started to randomly shake like he never has before. I will be taking Him to the vet tomorrow. Regardless, PLEASE DO NOT USE THEIR SALON. I would rate them negative stars if I could. Worst experience ever. read more

It's always busy at this location. People bring their dogs, but the store is always clean (never seen any poopy)! Lots of sales here, and they offer and accept all types of coupons. They have a great selection of fish, birds, reptiles, and small mammals like hamsters and guinea pigs. The manager (bald, older gentleman) is very nice, and helpful. read more

The store is clean and the customer service is pretty good. One thing that frustrates us is that when we find a product that we really like, it seems like they hardly keep it in stock. I'll me calling the manager to discuss my concern. The Banfield clinic does good work, but they nickel and dime you for every little thing. read more

Ok so! I go into this location to get some science diet for my cats and I guest the company decided to change the label so I asked guy number 1 he helped wasn't to sure so he sent me to the indoor bandfield ... That was a fail I couldn't even get my damn question out before she said WE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH PET SMART ASK THEM... Ugh so I get a gentleman 2 that was stocking asked him and he called for assistance over head to register 1 a lady come out IN MY FACE TO THE GUY CAN YOU FIND SO IN SO TO HELP!!! Gentleman 2 look at her like really lady help her... So he felt what I felt... Like she didn't want to help!!!! So I just said never mind and started to walk out and she saw my demeanor and flipped but it was too lady I let her try and help BUT AGAIN A FAIL... Ugh won't be going back ... read more

Sucks!! 3 out 4 grooming a are horrible My shih tzu received a hatchet uneven cut The groomer pretty much shaved her face The sides were uneven The body hair has splotches of uneven hair in legs My dog was traumatized a bit When I arrived to pick up mine this particular groomer was working on another beautiful little shih tzu with clippers in one hand and her cell phone in the other hand When they brought mine out her face cut mostly shaved was very uneven sloppily cut She said oh she probably was laying on it.... Horrible horrible horrible Expensive horrible Am looking for another groomer I've had it with the Newnan store The store itself won't even carry the basics like worm medicine, all I get is well the warehouse is out!! They never answer their phones. Literally tried calling twice and no department would answer. This was at both 11AM & 12PM so no reason to have their phones ringing 15+ times with no answer. It's faster to get help if you get in your car, fight the traffic and walk in which is really not cool if you're just trying to find out if they have any openings for getting your dogs nails clipped. read more

second time here getting pet groomed. First time my pet squeeled. Today, I was assured a new person would handle, and, being a film producer with a weird schedule, time of the appointment was essential. They said be here at 7am and we would have my pup out at 8. It is 9:30am and they say that she just finished. To my mistake an editor of mine went to take my pup, so we are on set right now completely shut down because someone was late or didnt show up at 7 as I was promised. DO NOT go here unless you have time for drama of some kind. The $90 for the cut is not worth the hassle. read more

Pretty much the same as every other petsmart. The customer service is pretty good though.

This is really for their grooming center. Opening the door there was a horrible, horrible smell. There was hair everywhere - in the registration area, on tables that were not being used at the time, all over the floor. It made me wonder what was happening behind the closed door in the back. I know not all Petsmarts are like this in their grooming centers. read more
